Overwatch is not a bad game, but it's not a competitive or high-skill game either and I really wish that Blizz would stop trying to pretend that it is. It's a game when you want to have some FPS fun and don't want to think or concentrate too hard on it.

I just wish it wasn't the only active multiplayer FPS right now. I miss Quake Live so fucking bad and I really wish that Id Software weren't a bunch of fucking retards who accidentally their entire community when they brought the game to Steam. its a really sweet sort of adventure show. you'll learn to love the characters pretty quickly and it's great to see how they get along and how they approach constructive problem solving. The entire experience is surprisingly light hearted with lots of cute moments along the way, but it manages to tell a very interesting story. The series is great to watch now, read the manga, and anticipate the sequel, whether it be movie, OVA, or even an entirely new season. "like kemono friends" is a good mindset to go in with.

That's not because of the genre but because of the source: light novels. A lot of newer shows are based off of light novels, even the good ones like Overlord and No Game No Life. It's gotten to the point where some light novel contests have banned entries about young men finding themselves in strange new worlds.

I always like Castlevania, and since it apparently did so well first season, it will might get better, and a bigger budget. It looks like shit in motion but it still "looks" good for the frames that are there, so there is hope for some good monster whipping. Which is all I wanted from that series.
