I wanna make games that appeal to girls and women, and I think women desire gameplay that is about social interaction, cooperation, raising a child/pet, taking care of others, emotions where the conflict with other characters is about social status.

So far that seems clear, and I have plenty of ideas about games like that, mostly jrpg that focus on social status and character drama.

So far the gameplay ideas seem to work, based on my research of the psychological gender diferences.

But there's something that I want to discuss, and that is how to design the male characters (basically the suitors), what kind of male would be popular among girls/women.

Do they like the jpop weak twink type or they love the more muscular bara type?

So far I understand women despise the weak soyboys like hell.

I'm sure that could be interesting, a good game and something women would enjoy a lot.

How about you make a game based on that popular anime "Your Name". I haven't seen it or read the plot really, but I think it has a good setting. So basically, you customize your female/male character and your soulmate. You are both placed randomly in the the city and you choose a house or job like in Sims. You do Sims shit and miscellaneous activities from the Persona games, you know living out your life with your cat in first person. Anyway, the whole point of the game ultimately is to find your "soul mate" and then develop a relationship with him. You could find him on the bus or working at the fast food joint, totally random. He might not like you initially, so you have to work on gaining his trust. Typical anime love story dialogue and acting. It would be like the Crusader kings games with lots of random events, so he could basically die at anytime and you would have to investigate why he won't pick up your calls. He can bring him back to life if you find his body, but it will cost you a monkey paw. You will get a lot of bad luck events for a while and he will forget his memory, so your soul mate could become slave potentially if you persuade him. VR compatible too for the lewd mods. "Soulmate" sounds like a great name for it.

I would design it for gamers (who are more often than not men), give a few very small elements that can pander to the type of women I don't consider shit, like maybe a main character's design and personality that's manly as fuck or something like Hector from Fire Emblem (his popularity was incredibly high and the male:female ratio was 1:1 for him)
I would avoid making it hyper-violent too. That's a bit too much of an extreme for a lot of even the hardcore "female gamers".
Make it story-focused without making it into a non-game or a faggoty game. Basically be unapologetic and women will enjoy it. Another ARPG game you might want to look into is Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (original GCN version). In multiplayer one player basically had to volunteer to hold onto a chalice that would protect the party from the deadly misama gas surrounding them that would also keep the entire party together on screen instead of them wandering off alone, some people refer to that role as "bucket bitch". There also the cool idea of different players had access to certain info (on their connected GBA's) that they would have to communicate to other players (one has a full map of dungeon, one has locations of treasure chest in dungeon). Something like this could help a woman played work together with you (with the distribution of information to you) but not in a role that means she has to fight.
