All I was saying are the unions are useless and no longer needed (And, part of the reason why shit doesn't progress because they keep on throwing out the red herring of "It could put people out of work", which is also why I think we already have the cure for cancer and the common cold, but it hasn't been announced to the public yet, because it means that all those doctors who wasted their years at med school studying specifically for cancer are going to have to go back to school or find another line of work, which also means the unions will be losing a lot of money.).

Also, I have to admit, the only time I've actually ever heard about "overworked game devs" was with Sakurai and Smash 4 (Which he did of his own free will because of his autism with making the game "perfect") and 4A Games when making Metro: Last Light (Which is one of the true despicable cases of game devs being put into the most unfair of working conditions, and it didn't help with transitioning the game's publisher from THQ to Deep Silver). The only other times I've heard of anything coming close was the localization of Final Fantasy VII and the multiplayer for Halo:CE, both of which were one-man jobs. Now, if you're talking about situations like the "crunch" near the end of a game's development, IIRC, the employees are paid overtime for that (At least, that's what I've read every single time the conversation comes up).
