Still trying to grind for KOS-MOS?

does poppy have an artificial bagina

Nope, although grinding for the blades I still don't have has become absolutely maddening. Right now I'm mostly trying to build trust for the blades I DO have. Thankfully there was some helpful advice on how to do this in the last thread.

I'll offer this tidbit, as I've found it helpful: just West of the Army Camp in Temperantia, there's a unique monster with a mob of henchmen. Going over there and starting a fight with affinity boosters equipped is a nice quick way to build trust, as there are a ton of enemies to kill in one battle and you'll probably be at Gold Line by the time they start dropping.

Anyone know where to find Theory's Heart-to-Heart? The description on the chart is curiously unhelpful, and staying at the inns in Uraya doesn't help (though a bunch of OTHER people got heart-to-hearts as a result…)

I'm looking forward to new game+ and with how retard overpowered you get late game things should be interesting.

I already have her

fuck you

I don't

What a shit OP

Side quests, owner deeds unique monsters, pretty much all the info about everything in the game:

I honestly wonder if they're going to have the newgame plus beef up monsters. Have Gormotti monsters start at level 60 or something, or maybe make them use different AI?
Though it would be fun going back to those monsters are areas that bullied you and oneshotting the twats.

Please take your washboard somewhere else. This is not the place to do your laundry.

I want to marry Nia!

I'm convinced that all of you faggots are collectively decided to trick me into thinking KOS-MOS is in this game. I am at like hour 225 and have completed almost every single quest and I still have no KOS-MOS.

Or Ursula

I can't wait to face a level 180 Ophion. Since the first one didn't kill me enough times by spamming its AOE insta-kill attacks.

Just want to post it here.

She is there but the game has a extremely low drop rate for her.

I do not have an image reaction appropriate enough to visually showcase my sheer despondency at grinding Nanakoori/Ursula. Nothing else in this game has managed to even dent my enthusiasm and will to play, but this is killing my soul.

This good?

I'm just about to start this game; it will be my first Xeno game. Anything I should know starting out?

You must learn the mechanics or you will get nowhere.

I think she was the second rare blade that I got and I hate her merc sidequest because she was my Rex healer blade that I used in fights when Nia couldn't keep up so I coulsn't afford having her benched all the time.

At least newt looks great on her.

...

I've come to terms with her in that she's an easy way to grind out Affinity Charts for other blades but god damn the need to check back on her every 6-10 minutes.

How exactly does summoning a new blade work? Will I get anything noteworthy from commons? Tips, tricks? I don't want to bother if it won't get me a unique character.

Learn the incantation. Break -> Topple -> Launch -> Smash.
Repeat it in your head as a mantra. Break -> Topple -> Launch -> Smash.
Engrave BTLS into your very soul. Once you do, you will have gained the power to defeat roughly 95% of what the game throws at you ezpz.

It saves your game and grants you a new blade. A few things to remember:

What about essences (I believe they are called, don't have the game on me right now)?
You know, the ones that are "courageous" or "righteous" or whatever. What exactly will increasing those parameters per summon do?

Those are "Ideas" and they increase your chances of pulling a specific rare. Rare-specific rates can be influenced by their levels. KOS-MOS, for example, is a huge pain in the ass to get without bumping them way up.

Some user last thread had a very good post about blade trust anyone have it?

Thanks, that should be all the questions I have for now. I keep hearing about KOS-MOS, whoever or whatever that is, so I suppose I ought to work towards getting that now rather than later.

KOS-MOS is a combat gynoid and one of the main characters of the xenosaga trilogy, worst part of the xeno franchise XBC2 is the latest part of.

So do people want her just because she's a recognized character cameo or is she really good?

(checked)

Really nigga? You're really asking this?

This is technically my first game in the xeno franchise. I got that one for the Wii U but I hated the combat so much then that I returned it.
So she's waifubait then?

She's both. Only light blade outside of Mythra or grinding Tora's fucking minigame.

She is a very important character in Xenosaga and one of the best blades in Xenoblade 2 plus the only light blade outside of Mythra.

XCX got good, minus the awful localization, but battle system really sucked for a while. Late game it's a constant race to get off as many skills as possible, I actually really enjoyed post game battles.

Kind of feel like XC2 is like that too, I am really starting to like it now, but it took like 15 hours to get there. Though I spend a lot of time doing stupid side quests. XC2 is a lot slower to get started. XCX just kind of dumped you on a planet and didn't really explain much. XC2 seems like it takes more time getting you used to how the game works.

7 Legendary cores and 30 Rares later and I have fuck all On the plus side I used the driver combo to farm moon matter chips even though I'm not a high enough level to beat that boss.

Also reposting best girl.

Really nigga? At least if you want to play it get a properly translated version on CEMU, if such a version exists.

Anyone remember (69) from the censorblade threads? web.archive.org/web/20160105054642/http://8ch.net/v/res/7681451.html

It's worth knowing that YOU CAN SKIP the latter half of the animation - the part where the Blade is revealed and makes a little intro speech.

Not, sadly, the long-ass "crystal crushing" part, but at least you don't have to wait around forever once you know you just rolled your 52nd Beast-Type-Water-Elemental-Healer.

At the very least, someone was working on an undub patch, but I'm not sure if anyone's managed to put back the censored outfits/slider, or remove the cancer from the translation. If you're still piloting "Skells" and not Dolls, no deal.

I'm curious to see if Nintendo will, after the big success of Xenoblade 2, try to cash in by releasing an uncensored version of X on the switch.

8-4kids cucked X too hard it would take NoE redoing it to repair the damage.

Reminder it's heavily implied Rex knows about Nia's feelings but let her off easy instead of directly acknowledging them

The censorship is the absolute least problem of XCX. A tiny detail in a sea of bad design. Still trying to push the idea it ruined the game just pegs you as a posturing idiot who doesn't play games.

t. goon

Nice argument.
>X isn't shit because of (((online))) elements that date the game and cuck its emulation

Shut the fuck up, goon. You think anyone is going to waste time reading your drivel?

I randomly got her a few days ago. Keep at it, user.

Nia a best and sorry i didn't make a new thread like i have been i had long work night and slept for 10 hours when i got home. Unfortunately someone else beat me to it this time.

Go and stay go.

Grind for legendary cores user. Driver combo the cow you raise to level 99 in Gormott. He is the best for grinding cores you can get 99 in less than an hour.

It's the worst quest of any game i have ever played. I finished it at around 150 hours. Apparently you do't have to get each item to 99, 70 is fine then you just do concerts for fans.

His post while long was not the best advice here is my copy paste response to that post with better advice.

The best items for raising trust are the Veg & Oyster Aspic (Veggie) and Fragrant Samod Stralu (Meat) both are found in Fonsett.

They both raise trust by 18 and cost only 180 gold each. You can also carry 40 of them compared to the 33 max you can carry of Noponcho which raises trust by 21 and cost 865 gold. That means Noponcho costs 28,545 for 33 and raises trust by 693 while Veg & Oyster Aspic and Fragrant Samod Stralu cost 7,200 for 40 and raises trust by 720. It goes by much quicker and costs much much less.

This info is from the google doc in the OP and here is the specific page with the data.

docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mKrSAAi_sj8xpt7t8s1JGMRUh4O-e7MxAb2P_g9AWOM/edit#gid=1284170566

Both. She is great blade, one of the best in the game.

Censorship aside X is a great game not as good as XB or 2 but it's still verry good. I'd say XB is a 10, 2 is a 9.5 and X is a 9.

Who /through with the annoying stuff/ here?

Also what the fuck is up with Partasite Aplacus?
Way too much HP for a lvl 58 unique and he has some of the highest spike-damage in the game.
I still have trouble fighting him at lvl 99.

Is Xenoblade 2 less obtuse and less of a giant lore/mechanic dump than Xenoblade X Chronicles? Does it have fewer shitty grindy "Kill X amount of Y" or "Bring X amount of Y"?

Those were my main gripes with X:X Chronicles. It just dumps a giant amount of lore, gameplay mechanics, awful side quests. Also putting extremely high lvl monsters right in the starting area is pants on head retarded.

ALWAYS GET THE MECHFU

The item-farming is far less obnoxious than both the original XC and XCX.
I always had spare collectibles when a quest required it and there's only five quests that require specific monster-drops.

Why do drawfags do this? It could've been a great piece of art

Yes.

The more cutscenes I see, the less I see "bad voice acting" and the more I see of "bad sound engineer" and "bad dub actor director". I don't think any of the dub actors did a bad job, I do think they completely forgot to play fucking videoss of what the characters where actually doing on screen so they have this level of, "I sound like I'm sitting perfectly still in a chair speaking slowly and clearly as possible" as appose to "its fucking cold out hear let my hug your robot arm for warmth."

Also the sound tracks sound like they are super imposed above all ambiance noise that reminds me like I'm watching an old kungfu dubbed movie at times.

Poor Dromarch.

Nintendo has awful sound directors and it shows.

Every normalfag (countless anons here included) can't tell the difference and blame the VAs instead. I remember people saying Kaine in Neir had terrible voice acting when in reality she was playing the character perfectly well and people just didn't get the point. At least not until Neir became niche and yuppie faggos took it up as "art".

Also Nintendo is typically terrible with voice directing and any audio design that's not just SFX and music and it shows.

I'm willing to concede this up to a point… There is bad voice directing, some bad mixing there too, but part of the blame is on the shoddy VA. Now, it is perfectly possible that the VA is shoddy because of bad direction, but that's speculation now.

I'm actually hoping they add quest fight level scaling to the game, at the very least to the Blade quests. It's boring to get a blade like Godfrey in post-game, do his quest and everything falls almost instantly. Finish it and get worthless shit that's more trouble finding to be rid of than selling. No point having a quest like that if the blades are random, it's waste of time.

i like the UK voices and havent changed it to nip

I like the cat's voice fine.

Best menu music, or BEST menu music?

Byakko, Gramps, Tora, and some side characters side Bana and Pupunin are actually pretty good. The problem arises in the rare blades, which range from awful, to just unfitting, which is actually the greatest flaw with the characters. They're not all terrible VAs, they just don't fit. 30 year old welsh lady is not a voice for a loli tsundere catgirl.

Finished it the other night and decided to put it down for a while. I enjoyed the game, but I don't want to do any post-game grinding to get the rest of the blades and finish their quests. At least not yet anyway.
Anyone have some idea as to why they made blades random drops? It seems like a pointless and stupid decision to me

Man I WISH they were horny purple elves. Now they're just goblins of varying skin colors.

I should make a Mass Effect picture with Then being Liara and Now being PEEBEE

this tbh

I'm 30-40 hours into Nanakooris unending bullshit. I try to take small solace in the fact that it's actually a great way to grind out Blade affinity charts (especially for shit ones, like go kill x enemy at y location), but it is but a lie. There is no hope. 100 hours in, and I'm certain I will still be doing this shit quest at 150(+) hours.

I got Rinne though, and shes jumping right to the top of the chart as my favorite blade. I think her skills are pretty good too. Seems strong.

This, not only for doing more damage but better drops, I didn't realize the latter so I usually was fine with just spamming break > topple, actually completing the entire combo is a pain in the beginning because you need the right characters with the right blades because each character gets different moves with the same weapons, so for example Rex might have topple with the spear wielding blade and Nia would have break with that same blade, or more likely, none of the combo with that weapon. Then you have to switch characters and spam the next step to do it in time. This is a huge pain with Zeke because he does all these gay spins and shit before he actually does the attack, I had to equip an accessory to make Launch last longer so he could do his Smash in time.

How do you unlock her shit past level 2? I don't see any new merc missions pop up, and I don't know what on her affinity chart might do it.

Spam the lessons. Alternate between them. Don't stop spamming them. You will be spamming those lessons for an eternity. The sun will die before you have grinded the lessons enough.

Every so often, you will unlock a pink mission that gives fans. Do that, then go back spamming lessons. You'll know when you have grinded enough to unlock the next stage in grinding when the quest updates.

And yet, just listening to Nia gets my dick hard.

I want to kill myself listening to that. Maybe I'll bond with my waifu that way.

...

WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

Also save your overdrives, they give you a few right in the beginning and I didn't realise how rare they are and wasted some on shitty commons.

This needs updating, the purple devil elf is too attractive for western "standards" these days

pretty much

The funniest thing is his animation (especially the spear-smash one) is so long, that other characters that switched to a blade with topple/launch attack have enough time to switch back to their smash-blades and have long done the smash-attack before him.

So do I just feed 1000s of Noponchos to my Blades to raise their trust, or what? I just keep using them over and over, right?

Feeding them is much, much faster.
Got my mainblades to S+ in less than 2 hours.

Noponchos it is then.

What is S+ anyway?

The highest trust-level you can achieve, after maxing out the affinity-chart, which gives you an S.
Then it keeps building up from S1 to S9 and then finally S+.

Do not use Noponchos you fucking retard. Read the fucking thread. Copy paste once again:

The best items for raising trust are the Veg & Oyster Aspic (Veggie) and Fragrant Samod Stralu (Meat) both are found in Fonsett.

I didn't pay close enough attention to trust levels and auto-attack earlier in the game but I know on the road from S to S+ your auto attack goes up by 100 or so for every level of trust. I'm not sure of the damage modifiers exactly but the auto-attack damage stat also affects arts damage max them out.

Man I wish Tiger Tiger! was actually fun.

While I get the logic behind that, I hope I don't have to finish the damn game to get her back or some bullshit of that nature.

I found it was fun only after having spent many hours at it and had gotten gud.

Same exact thing happened to me. You just have to finish that chapter to get her back it doesn't take very long. You''ll still have a couple chapters to go afterwards.

Opposite for me. It was kind of fun at first but now it's just the same thing every time.

Speaking of Tiger, is there any downside of playing on easy mode? For that matter, is there a difference? Do the different levels give different rewards?

The couple times I tried easy mode it seemed like I was getting lower tier parts (fewer rank 3, more rank 1). I think your weapon has a bigger hitbox in easy mode.

The only "downside" is the period on your score. Drop rates stay the same. Everything stays the same aside from walls not causing damage to you.

I believe Level 5 gives all the rewards plus some exclusive to that level.

I am really struggling at that point. Not the lack of Pyra, because if anyone's a crutch it's Nia, just struggling with the 2 char slot and bossfights. I think I need to level up a bit since I'm mid 50's, any place you reccomend for easy xp farming?

Thank you so much for posting this information (both the first time, and for repeating it to make it easy to find). This is vital to know, especially when you roll a new blade super-late and have to play catch-up. Got my Electra maxed out now and finished her adorable sidequest thanks to you.

This should be the op of next thread.

I was disgusted at how JEWISH this lore is.

...

Who is that? And is she a crybaby in her porn videos?

What?

Enjoying the RNG I see?

fuck, is it possible to get better odds?

Raising luck and/or boosting your merc level so you can hold more overall common blades, thus removing them from the pool.

...

You're in Land of Morytha correct? Just run past everything till you get your team back. As for grind spots at that level i can't recall any as i was almost always overleveled. Do quests and use your exp in the inn and defeat unique monsters with a chain attack to level is my best advice.

You're welcome user. It makes me happy to know that i helped you out.

Hopefully I'll be able to be the OP again next thread and can do so.

I've had my share of that it sucks if you're at that point though you should only be using legendary cores and selling off the rest. Tora's fangs are cute, i don't recall any other nopon having them

If you can use 99 commons or rares and not get a single rare anymore just sell them. Farm legendarys instead.

What's wrong with her face?

She looks great to me. I could maybe see how someone may think her eyes are slightly too far apart but i don't think its an issue.

I have bunny tits to keep me warm, I need nothing else.

Does this artist do fucking prints? Cause hot damn, I'd commission some more Nia art.

I didn't realize she was supposed to be a bunny until anons pointed it out to me.

I found his deviant art he only has two prints for sale and i can't find anything on commission his contact info is their so shoot him an email.
indy-k.deviantart.com/journal/

It's more the expression that's bothering me.

If Xenoblade Chronicles couldn't really catch my attention, will this?

How did you guys like Rex by the way?
I thought he was just ok except for that one scene where Klaus puts him through visual representations of his self-doubts and fears and he breaks down at the end, which I really liked.
That "salvager's code"-stuff was really annoying for me though, except that one H2H with Tora, where even he gets fed up with it.

The salvagers code stuff was worth it for the scene in Chapter 10 where Klaus asks him what is he going to do about Malos

The word I'd use to describe the VAing is 'misused'. It's frankly embarrassing to see some of the characters act the way they act, and imagine how the original Jap voice would have delivered their line while they did so, while their dubbed voice sounds like a completely different character. Nia suffers most from this, and Rex has occasional moments of utterly embarrassing dialogue (anything involving him actually fighting, usually).

Thoughts on the final boss?

What about it? It looks like a fairly standard embarrassed, shy, washboard insecurity look.

How far did you get in XB? This game has a pretty damn slow startup so if XB scared you off 2 has an even larger casual filter.

I wish he had more personality and was more than "lets do it, we can do it, and, lets go on and on and on"
He really isn't much of a character aside from this and while he does have a few great scenes he is largely forgettable and if it wasn't for Hikari and Homura being locked to him i wouldn't use him much in the game. The salvagers code stuff was fun, i always loved when another would pop up. Maybe when newgame+ comes out I'll change my view on him with the refresh.

I find most dubs also suffer from what seems to be the VA's not knowing what is going on on-screen when they act so even if they have a good voice like a few dub VA's in this game the delivery is still awful. Even then most dub VA's are atrocious and very rarely fit the characters. I don't know how the Japs do it but 99% of their characters sound exactly like they should, meanwhile I'd say the opposite is true for dubs.

I was extremely overleveled for it but even then i don't think i would have had any issues even if i was underleveled. I was very disappointed by only two phases. The arena, mech and all that were nice though. I really wish it was harder, maybe he just had moves which put up a fight that i never got a chance to see.

Even with the bad voice direction and some questionable choices for blades the main characters English VAs are better then the Japanese.

My importantly, why is Pyra topless?

I got to the gruesome twosome and I only have 2 characters on my team still

Go to the character select screen and add a third one back in.

It's interesting to observe that in many cases, the actors DID have some context for the scene they were in, but clearly couldn't actually see the animation for what they were voicing.

This is especially obvious in the cutscene very early in the game where Rex is backstabbed: Nia visibly freaks out and her Japanese voice has exactly the kind of high pitched anime squealing you'd expect. English Nia is still clearly upset, but much less so than in Japanese; it's more a "Hey! That was needlessly cruel!" than an "OH MY GOD WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!"

Thing is, English Nia's interpretation of the line actually makes more sense story wise. As a member of Torna, or indeed anyone who knows Jin, him murdering someone dishonorably should come as no surprise given that's basically all he does. Also that Malus and Jin were surprised when Nia suddenly switched sides, when her Japanese freakout basically spelled out in giant letters "I AM GOING TO BETRAY YOU IN ABOUT FIVE MINUTES". With that in mind, her English voice was justified in performing it that way - but unfortunately, it completely doesn't match the animation.

...

Switch emulator when?

Yeah, for some reason it wouldn't let me for ages then shortly after I posted I randomly managed to get a third member back on board. Well, whatever, chapter 7 is a Go. This is my first Xeno game so is this a reference to one of the previous game's towns? It certainly looks too… developed, for lack of a better word. Like, as a map, not as a location, if that makes sense?

Agreed. Sometimes the voices don't match animations one bit (I suspect the original animators matched the bodylanguage of the voice actors but the characters are nothing but stereotypes

Does he respawn at all prior to being high level? I just started the game and kinda murdered him at lvl 1, not knowing what he was for.

Also is there a reason why potions need to fly off into the infinite when fighting large monsters? Smaller and humanoid sized enemies have it plop within a few meters, but for anything larger than the cows potions seem to venture off into the distance.

No, he doesn't respawn.

The range of potions seems to be proportional to its model rather than a fixed distance outside of it. It's retarded.

I still think that Gundam 0079, Getter Armageddon, and Mazinkaiser are three of the best examples of a japanese trope succesfully carried over into english. They all have hotblood, and screaming, and they all do it near flawlessly. I think some of the perfomances in Kaiser are actually better in english, like Yumi or Shiro. That scene when Kaiser shows up and beats the everloving fuck out of Ashura Mazinger is still one of the best uses of music in an action show

That is news to me, I figured the commons were just randomly generated, I keep releasing all the shitty ones with no good skills/potential.

They are.

They are to a point, but having more apparently does increase the rare drop chance a small amount. I think it has to do with the commons names coming from a pool.

No need to lie, you can go back to fast traveling anywhere as soon as you get your team back in chapter 8.

Yeah, the names, if anything else, belong to a set list.

Jesus "shit taste" christ. Kill yourself on your way back to reddit.

Congrats on killing the best legendary core farm in the game, retard.

Of the ones you mentioned I've only seen 0079 and i have to agree.

Jesus christ you're a massive fucking casual faggot.

Where did ya get this hot piece of info ya fucking retard? I have almost 250 hours in this game and beat it weeks ago.

You're not 250 hours into the game when you're encountering this thing at level 1. State that this mob shouldn't be killed, by all means. But calling someone a retard for killing it means you either believe in precognition or looking up shit before playing a game. Either way you're a useless nigger.

If you had even half the intelligence of the average nigger you should know NOT to kill the special enemy who has a quest partner who explains it right next to him.
But no, you are just that stupid. You triple, no quadruple nigger.

There are enemies in the first town in the game with quest icons that you're supposed to kill. Every other enemy in the game with a quest icon you're supposed to kill. None of the other arduns are even targetable. There's no reason to believe this one particular enemy wont respawn.

If you stop and have an internal debate about killing every enemy you come across, you would probably decide to not kill this one. But many players aren't going to do that. They're just going to kill any enemy they see. In game language a quest icon on an enemy means you're supposed to kill it. It's the same in this game as in any other. You're supposed to kill this one, it's only a question of when. There's no reason to believe that an enemy in only the second town (inside of it no less) will somehow turn out to be the easiest core-farming mob in the entire game.

He's not a retard for doing what the game told him to do.

...

Except none of what he said seemed to be an actual gameplay element.
As in, he said something about feeding the guy but you can't drop items or anything so how would you even do it? Unlike Quests like the farming one right next to it where the guy actually opens a menu for that once you talk to him, this one just saw a guy talking, then a monster was near him that you could attack so the simplest explanation is to kill the bugger.

Besides, on that very town when you arrive, there's a Driver reading bounties of a board.
Are you also supposed to not even attack him in case he later on starts a quest chain about the power of friendship that rewards you while legendary cores?

You don't know any of this when you're playing the first time, which was what the other poster was trying to tell you.
What's your Blade element? Earth? Cause you're dense as fuck.

It's a town, it is the only enemy in the town, and it does not aggro. That's why he shouldn't have killed it.

Just had the 'By the Graveside' bonding event. Bloody hell they're laying it on thick, even if I knew they were a designated couple from the start of the game.

And you find this one first as well.

Also non aggro-ed.

eh, i killed that faggot for shit and giggles, but luckily i dint kill the bull that you need to raise because it was just a baby.

To the user trying to rationalize killing the quest-armu, just stop it. You're embarasing yourself. I'm not that bright and even I could figure it out. Just admit you fucked it up, man. Don't make it seem like it was hard to figure it out or anything.

I bet you own a katana.

Welcome to 8ch, now go back to cuckchan faggot

I get the curiosity of killing it, I just saved my game before I did it. Kinda funny dialogue from it, but not worth botching the quest.

Unfunny faggot(s).

That's not what's happening at all, get some reading comprehension.

The elemental combos at the final boss are fucking insanity.

So I was playing through the game and Indol got locked out. Really wanted to see the end of the story and figured I could do it in NG+ so I didn't care.
I see they're planning on patching it in later, but I'm thinking about just replaying the game again normally. Blasted through the story in 40 hours I'm pretty sure I missed a fuck ton of shit.
>Also, that scene during the final boss when You hear Shulk about to fuck up Zanza.
So good.

The Jin boss fights are good too.

So how is this game? I'm all for cliche anime tropes, and huge anime tiddies, but the MC's design kinda turned me off on release.

Look who's talking.

Ah, the beta MC. The only anime trope I am sick off.

This explains why having him out made keeping aggro on the tank so easy while killing enemies much faster than if Zenobia was there. Best boy.

His design kinda turned me on on release, so I see no issue.

I can post the ending title screen if you want to see how wrong you are.

Based on the ending, Rex is literally the exact opposite of beta. Hell almost every girl in the story either is in love with him or strongly admires him.

I was actually surprised with how much I didn't end up hating Jin at the end. Considering that in the first chapter he very literally does the "teleports behind u, 'nothing personell kid', stabs u in the back". He is one of the biggest edgelords I have ever seen in a game, yet strangely he is somehow done right.

Its good. Honestly, I thought the "big anime tiddies" were kinda distracting at first, but I got desensitized to it pretty quickly. Its only feels really obnoxious in like the first two scenes with Pyra.

And honestly, its not just tits: the character. I honestly think that of the "attractive traits" that Pyra has, her boobs are probably near the bottom of the list. Meaning, she does actually have a good personality.

Unlike a certain other blade you get at the end of chapter 3.

What's wrong with Roc?

I'm talking about the other character that you get at the end of chapter three with two massive fun bags on their chest

If only he stopped at teleports behind you. That fucker's abilities are all 100% pure uncut edge. And not only edge, it's borderline schoolyard "and then my character won because he could do anything and your super ability doesn't even work!".
He must pull some serious shit at the very end of the game to end up likeable after that. And I left the main story at the flashback where he reveals he ate his driver's heart after Amalthus went full purge. It struck me as simplistic as far as teary-eyed backstories go.

If that was treehouse you know they'd have put in "Nothing personal kid"

Rex ends up in a threesome that's pretty alpha.

I love this game's story, but the storytelling is atrocious
>Nihal technically dies, so much that Aegon goes back to his cristal. Nia then fucking RESSURECTS him, but even later on no one acknowledges how OP that ability is
>Nia also uses her healing powers to stop Malos on his track, by deforming the organic parts he has in his body. And I'm like 'Really?!! Why dont you use that fucking power on every enemy blade ever? If it fucking works on an Aegis, it would work on anything! Fuck use it on normal organic enemies for God's sake'
>Defeat enemy in-game. Cutscene shows enemy winning like you didn't just introduced his teeth to the floor
Pyra and Gramps were alive 500 years ago and experienced first hand some crucial lore, but keep it secret for no good reason.
It's stated at some point that Pyra/Mithra/Pneuma is so OP she can release Rex from their bond at any time, no strings attached. In fact Pneuma does just that at the end. But still they risk one killing the other by proxy for the entire history. Fucking at least give me some bullshit reason why they kept that bond for so long. That also means the Aegis can ressurect anyone by sharing their core and them taking it back agin later. I hope this turns to be a methafor for something, but i won't hold high expectations
>While on that topic, Pneuma's bait and switch suicide has no reason to be whatsoever. Not even for the sake of inducing an emotional response on the player, because she came back shortly after and no good explanation for it was given. Gandalf did it right 60 years ago and yet I have to put up with shit like this
Lewds and plot kept me hooked though

This game has a very bad case of cutscene defeat, yes. Torna in general is kept threatening through entirely contrived means.
Still, the story is such a masterpiece compared to X I'm willing to forgive a ton of shit.

Answering you spoilers to the best of my ability…

I can't remember what scene its in, but it appears that the "blades dying when the drivers die" is taken to be generally at the same time, rather than a hard and fast "the blade is dead the exact second the driver is. Like when Pandoria is still alive despite Zeke being completely comatose and basically dead until Amalthus saves them.

I believe Malos straight up says that Jin recruited her specifically for the purpose of her insanely OP "healing" abilities. It apparently only worked because Malos was distracted and let it affect him, because he assumed he would be able to withstand it. Which he technically did, even if it was incredibly painful.

Yeah that's fucking bullshit. I was expecting the "lose in the battle" in the first fight with Morag, and then when I won, I was kind of pissed that the game went "actually she kicked your teeth in and you escaped by a fucking miracle call". Little did I know that was only the beginning.

I sort of get Gramps withholding information from Rex mostly, since he pretty much tells Rex when they get to the World Tree that he thought Rex would avoid fighting Jin if he knew his past, since he "cares too much". And since Rex is basically in almost every single scene with Gramps, it makes sense why he doesn't say anything. Also, Pyra is suicidal, and like most actually suicidal people, she doesn't really want to let on what her true intentions are.

I think Malos mentions that if Pyra's body were destroyed, her consciousness would be immediately transferred to Rex, and she would technically live on in him. It also isn't until the end of chapter 7 that Pyra/ Mythra becomes the true Aegis, which means she gets all her access to her stupid OP Aegis abilities then. The only fights that Malos technically loses are against Nia, which he loses due to arrogance, and against Pneuma (the other true aegis) and Rex at the very end.

I think it was sort of a weird gambit. Malos mentions that Aegis can live on for a short time without their core crystal, but not forever. When Pneuma gives the rest of her core crystal to Rex, she effectively already killed herself, its just not immediate. The fact that the core crystal would actually reactivate was a HUGE gamble, since it assumes that the aegis core would behave like a standard blade core, and wouldn't just because worthless chunk of metal the second the "not Zohar" disappeared. As for why Pyra and Mythra apparently have all their memories, its also mentioned by I think Klaus that the Aegis basically acts as data storage and collection, while standard blades act just as data collection. So blades don't have any sort of "memory preservation" function in their systems, because its not their role, while the Aegis do, since they act in sort of an administrative role to the Architect.

As for why Pyra and Mythra became two people, fuck if I know. I think whoever you picked in chapter 8 should have been the one resurrected, and the other should have stayed gone.

They tried to subvert the whole "cutscene defeat" thing in Xenoblade by making certain bossfights end early at a certain health percentage, and it didn't really work well. It makes sense on paper, but it either makes the fight end very abruptly, or makes it so you have no idea when a hard boss is going to end and don't know how to pace yourself. I think it ultimately makes the fights more enjoyable.
Not looking at the spoilers 'cus I'm only in ch4 or so but I wanted to chime in on that. I would not be surprised if a couple of the bulletin points are the fault of the translation, though.

Also just in case someone has a hard time with the ingredients for the altar of sealing in tantal.
Black pomegranates are dropped reliably just around the Yurna the elderwood teleport point, and acid tomatoes north of Dalnes stone in temperantia

The resurrection / split is part of Klaus' final gift I believe

Without spoiling too much, I think a part of what made me like Jin is that he and Malos are basically trying to be something they aren't.

Major spoiler-wise, Rex basically calls out that Jin is only this massive edgelord because he was absolutely heartbroken over Lora, and was basically completely directionless in his life until Malos gave him "a path". Basically, since he promised Lora he wouldn't forget her, he spent pretty much every single day for hundreds of years (presumably) thinking about her, even though he just wanted to die. Malos offered him a purpose beyond that, and better yet, it was a purpose that would allow him to die. Hell, Jin even realizes that Lora would hate him for becoming the huge murderous piece of shit that he is, but the fact that he promised that he wouldn't forget her basically made him unwilling to just kill himself. Every major villain in the story basically adopts the idea that "the purpose of life is to end". Right before the final fight with Jin, he more or less appears to have completely lost his purpose again, due to doubting that the idea is the right one, but fights anyways because its really the only thing he has left.

That's bullshit, but I believe it.

It's quite liberating.

You may not know that the cow will turn into but you do know, providing you are not a nigger with abysmal intuition, that the only non-threatening, targetable, enemy in the town who in a field of other cows, is the only one which is special is right next to a human (in which the cow is calmly grazing next to as pointed out) with an icon, who explains the quest.

Sorry i triggered you user. I couldn't decide which phrase i wanted to use so i opted for a bit of creativity. I've thought about getting a katana many times but I haven't gone thru with it

Hey, someone else with common sense. I was a wee bit surprised by how retarded this folks were i was beginning to think a reddit wave came, then again with their are some pro-dub anons in these threads so that may be true still.

Hopefully newgame+ will let me experience it properly.

I think you mean a foursome

I agree on all accounts. The storytelling fuckery in this game is one of it's biggest flaws, but the story is still good and enjoyable so i deal with it.

It's only the past few days I realised they lock specific shit. So satisfying when you lock down a boss' ability to shackle your blades and drivers so you can just keep whaling on them.

Rescued all blades from Gacha Hell and I haven't even ridden the elevator up to the World Tree yet. I never got a single unique from a legendary core. All gotten from rares with luck boosting accessories and blades and using proper boosters for my final ones, which were Dagas, Dahlia and Agate. I got KOSMOS like halfway through oddly enough.

Anyway now I'm grinding affinity to get as many of their Heart to Hearts and quests done as I can before going up the tree.

>Ursula is the last blade I got besides Kosmos
>Grinding the missions still while hunting for KosMos

I hope I can meet whoever designed this quest, and then torture them to death so they can feel at least a fraction of the suffering that this quest is.

Yeah okay that sucks. Got her second after electra and I'm nowhere near halfway done with her last tier

I'm not even rank 4 yet, just got and starter her stuff. For what it's worth, it's my understanding she's one of the best healers in the game when she's fully done.

She's not quite as good as Boreas, but her passive 40% party heal on switch is amazing.

I cannot into boreas. Then again, I slapped her on nia and forgot about him after the food shenanigans.

He's way out of your power level league user, anyone depraved enough to create a quest this vile would find whatever you can do to him pure enjoyment. I know what you feel, but this is the sort of guy who puts Archviles when you can't dodge them in doom wads. Stay the fuck away and realise you should hope you never meet him.

He's not bad, but the only particularly good thing I see about him is that he goes online very fast and can be maxed relatively easily. As far as healers go he's not Dahlia/Dromarch bad for me to call him shit, but he isn't good. He's outclassed by all the good healers, pretty much. Why take him over Ursula, Floren, Kora's super potions, Adenine's damage buff?

Only thing worse would be Last remnant's quest designer.

You actually only need 70 of each you can gain the rest of the fans needed by doing concert missions instead.

Gimmie the exp. I need the exp.

XP is almost completely a non-issue in 2.

I guess that's why I seem to be endlessly grinding at lvl 25/26.

Literally just fuck around the world a bit, do sidequests, and sleep at inns mate. The inn bonud xp alone is almost too much.
Compared to XCX when you had to grind with no bonus beyond online bounties and an indecent percentage of places to go were locked behind high-level monsters, 2 is a walk in the park.

What do you think I'm doing? I've been grinding for the last 2 hours and haven't even made 5k exp. I've done every side quest currently available to me and slept at the inn to ensure I've leveled up.

...

Don't forget to be constantly doing Merc missions too, and hunt for secret locations while exploring, those things are worth a ton of XP.

Assuming 2 hours is significant in this kind of game it looks like.

I don't have access to merc mission yet.

Hurr. I'm not saying 2 hours is a significant period of time, just stating what's been going on.

You must still be fairly early in then, were are you stuck that you need to grind that much?

Shut the fuck up and get good. You're well within level range for anything the game throws at you, at this point.

...

I'm in Uraya at the moment and just getting my ass handed to me. I have no doubt that I'm pretty shit at the game.

Alright. Thanks for your input.

I have a feeling I know witch fight is tripping you up. If i'm right, make sure you focas on ONE of them. The other likes taunting and pulling you off the other, but retarget him as soon as the taunt wears off and remember to have the rest of the party do the same. As I recall this fight ends before they hit 0% health.

If you're talking about Vandham that went ok. It's the main quest line after he joins you that's tripping me up.

Oh okay, no that's not the fight I meant, you'll know when you get to it then. Is it just the trek through the stomach getting you? If your running into really high level foes, your not going the right way.

That must be it. All the fuckers down in the water are many levels above me and I just kept getting killed. Will look around for another way through; thanks for the tip user.

Yup that's the problem, look for a way up halfway in the stomach. When you see a bunch of those Lizard Man mobs milling about, you'll know your on the right path.

Fuck I saw them and got thrown off the overpass thing doing the quest you stumble upon and just figured it was the wrong way. Thanks heaps man.

tbh i liked the art style of Xenoblade Chronicles X better than 2. Even though they both have anime eyes.

The lizard men will also probably fuck you up. Or more accurately, those fucking artillery beetles that have one of the most annoying standard moves in the entire game. There is going to be a fuck ton of them you will run into that unless you are significantly higher leveled, will be a huge pain in the ass to handle.

This is the first place in the game where I learned how useful "lure" is.

I think certain characters in XCX were designed pretty good, like Elma and Lao, but others like Irina and Lin just look like they have FAS or some other genetic deformity.

Where do these keep coming from? I keep looking for good art and porn and I never get anything near the quality I see here.

I hated those beetles so much. It's funny too because the lizard men themselves are pushovers.

Gelbooru, which means stolen from pixiv or Twitter most likely.

Can't say I see where you're coming from.

On the subject of X, god damn I wish it would have been made with the same level of quality as 2.
I really like the premise of facing not only destruction, but outright genocide at the hands of a coalition of aliens whose singular purpose in life is to exterminate you for reasons you can't even begin to guess.
Having a big city has a base which you're developing with your exploration efforts is also neat, and the way unassuming sidequests end up as huge game-changers for the city's development was satisfying as hell.
But then you have the silent protagonist and almost all characters being cardboard-cutout third wheels. The highly obnoxious comic relief. The story that might as well fit on a napkin by Monolithsoft standards. The hip hop soundtrack though I may have been stockholm'd into liking Black Tar, the intro is nice if nothing else.
I'm just glad 2 is a return to form.

Sounds like fun. At least I know I'm on the right path now.

Elma should have been the PC for X. She has basically all the attributes of the main character, almost the entire story revolves around her, and everyone basically ends up referring to "your" character as "that guy/ girl that's in Elma's squad".

Tatsu was also the worst Nopon ever. But then again, I feel like I wouldn't have appreciated Tora as much if Tatsu didn't exist. Both Tora and XC2 and XSX.

XCX had some weird soundtracks, but also had some of the best music in the series (Noctilum/ Sylvalum). And the hip hop stuff actually really grew on me about 10 hours in.

UH

YEAH

I actually have a pixiv account, but its been like 8 months since I've used it, and I've forgotten literally all info for it. I was just hunting for some sweet sexy zinogirls at the time

NLA Shigai is unironically pretty jammin.

I'm only missing Agate now. Since someone posted here that keeping your commons remove them from the pool, I've been dispensing a single blade before opening each crystal. But goddamn it makes the whole ordeal a thousand times more tedious. Are you sure the chance of drawing a rare is related to the amount of commons you have? Before reading that I've been clearing my roster from a bunch of unwanted blades and that really helped with the boosters they provided.

On another subject. Some of my 4crowns have "deal X amount of damage in one attack" affinity nodes, and those are simply not getting cleared on merc missions, been like that since forever. I don't remember having that problem with any other blade. Do I really have to equip them and maybe invest a chip to get it?

When is this game going on sale

Its not one to one, but I don't know why I kept thinking of Milla when ever I saw blond Pyra. Now I think I figured it out. Neither of them know what a comb is. It was really distracting.

Probably not enough to only remove one at a time. Just keep it close-ish to the top, if Agate is all you have left the odds wont be great no matter what you do. Use boosters, she's earth by the way, she was an early rare for me.

It released a month ago, so not soon i'd imagine.

What I did to clear those was take them to some low level area, equip some ambush aux chips and use a damaging art as the first shot. Easily goes in the thousands.

...

When do I just get to play the game and not have a cutscene every four steps?

...

It has a cutscene heavy beginning, then gets pretty ballanced for the most part until you reach chapter 8. Then you literally have a cutscene after every few steps. Really, for the most part there is nothing but a corridor in between scenes by the end

Oh that's mean. And hilarious.

I feel your pain; I only have kosmos to go, agate was strangely one of the first I got. Now I need to find a good boss for farming for a level 70 group.

We need a backpack edit of Nia now.

Nia's only flaw, no fluffy tail

Byakko is already in charge of the tail, she is in charge of the kitty mannerisms and fuzzy ears.

This is why Nim is superior. please don't post the goofy face

...

Poor Nia

...

Well I just got KosMos and my second crash at the same time. If I didn't know she was in the game, just randomly seeing her sat in my blade list after a crash would have made me think my game is haunted.

My dad makes fun of me for being 20 and still a virgin. He routinely asks me if I've finally lost my virginity or found a girlfriend each time I come home. He emasculates me in front of my friends by saying stupid shit like "At least you guys get pussy, right?" and "Maybe you guys can set him up with some girls!"

He even started calling me "Virgy" instead of my real name. This shit gets so fucking annoying and it's actually having an impact on my mental health. Fuck him. I'm not the one in the wrong, right?

That's some missed oportunity there, should have called you Virginald

Answer is obvious. Rape your dad.

Is that some form of tumblr nose or what?

Fuck if I know. I just thought it was funny.

...

>THE MADMEN AT NoE MADE SHEBA STRAIGHT
I AM BUYING THE GAME AND SEASON PASS RIGHT FUCKING NOW.

To be fair, any girl you buy for 500K will be as straight as you want her to be.

No they didn't. When I get home I'm gonna post a screenshot from Korra's quest in which Sheba pretty much admits liking the puss.
I think they altered "harem" to "entourage" because on Sheba's quest you help a bunch of children, and sheba says she would want them on their "entourage" when they are older. You know nips might be ok with it considering she went to the trouble of future-recruiting them, but in the west… you know… the implications…

Don't do that. That being said, I looked it up myself. Sure enough, game's cucked.
But this makes no sense. The game has a dyke and yet SJWs are still triggered by the tits and ass. Monolith pandered to them and they still got bent over. I hope they learned their lesson. Thanks for saving me 90 bucks.

There's a difference between dykes and yuri. One is well suitable for male audiences, the other wants to end male audiences. Game's not cucked, not by a mile.
Also, don't expect logic from SJWs.

What are some things I can do to get exp fast? I'm level 26 on my entire party and the story is dragging me into level 30+ enemies.

Good fucking goy.

Could be bait, could be stupidity

Okay, schlomo, riddle me this. If yuri is so pro-male, where are the men, and why isn't it celebrating heterosexuality? You know, love between a man and a woman, AKA the only kind of love?

Don't let the door hit your delicate snowflake ass on the way out.

Throwing our own insults back at us won't make it hurt less, liberal scum.

You had me wondering about bait status until that post. Pushed too far user. Good show though

Holla Forums and/or the_donald was a mistake.

Then you have lost.

This is some really low quality bait. The dad beating his gay son stuff was a better attempt at derailing.

Maybe because we don't need representation to enjoy the media and we enjoy seeing pretty girls without the need to self-insert as a Gary Stu in there?

I'd expect your way of thinking in Tumblr, where they can't enjoy media unless a character is exactly them, not here in an Anonymous community where you're nothing but the posts you write.
But then again… It's all about the right kind of representation for you lot as well anyway.

Don't do that.

Spotting bait is a life saving skill, remember that

When will cuckchan leave?

When you report them

Considering their board is run by ResetEra cucks and this is all they have to live for, probably never.

The boring way is to find and murderise monsters around the same level as you repeatedly, or maybe a level or two lower so the xp is still decent. If you're feeling ballsy you can usually take out as single enemy that's a few levels higher than you. Repeat until levelled.

The faster and more fun way is to do sidequests and mercenary jobs, though going off your level you're yet to unlock those. Remember to rest at inns every now and again, since as I understand it you only level up in battle from battle xp. You may well have enough xp to level up already, and just need to rest in an inn.

Okay, so I'm thinking of getting Xenoblade 2 very soon. I'm a little torn over whether I should use the Japanese voicepack or play with the dub. I think most of the dub casting sounds like absolute ass, however I've heard that battles are harder without voice cues. What's the consensus?

There are indeed voice cues that can be helpful for driver combos, which are fairly tight timing-wise. It's pretty marginal though, the greater problem is that all the flavor musings that don't belong to the scripted dialogues are left unsubtitled.

I assume they just subtitled the english audio, and left it completely unchanged for the Jap voices, didn't they.

You can flip from english to japanese at the options so it's not too much of a choice-you can just change if you want the other. The flavour text is gone as mentioned and, honestly, I think you'll lose quite a bit. I've noticed some characters actually change their personality as you level them up, with some blades dismissive, or nervous/self depricating but getting more friendly/confident as they do so, with lines that are not subbed in the japanese original dub. Also, while there are some dodgy bits thanks to dubious voice directing and the odd bit of the lipsynch failing miserably, the voice actors themselves aren't bad.

The Important Shit (all cutscenes) is subtitled regardless. You won't suffer pointlessly if you do japanese dubs, but you miss out some flavour stuff, basically.

That's, sadly, absolutely right.

If you really genuinely can't stand the entire english cast, then get the Jap voicepack.

I will say that there are enough good performances in the english cast to justify using it though.

As for how they affect gameplay, I would say that while the voice cues do help a LOT in battle, they don't really changed the game that much. All it does it that it allows you to react to party member setups like about a half second faster than you normally would (for example, if an enemy is toppled, you may have one party member say "launchy launchy!" and then initiate a launch combo on the enemy. Generally you should have plenty of time to do whatever you want with the enemy when they are launched, such as huge damage moves or finishing the launch combo with a smash, but that extra half second can help sometimes).

Basically, if you hate ALL the English voices, and not just some of them, then its probably not worth forcing yourself to suffer through 70 hrs gameplay just to occasionally get a half second jump on an enemy.

First off, mods: Rule 8 is not valid when you choose to only target me. It takes two to tango, so ban everyone who engaged me as well.

What a miserable existence you must have. To throw your fellow man under the bus like this goes beyond petty.
For starters, men like you and me well, you're a traitor who has no right to call himself a man, but that's semantics are, like my appropriate use of the word or not, oppressed. We live in an anti-masculinity age where soy milk is the drink of choice, and emasculation is everyday practice. If you honestly don't think we need to bring male positivity back, then you're not just a traitor, you're delusional and need counseling.
Plus, you assume that all male characters are self-insert Gary Stus? What projection.
And besides, Tumblr? The site that despises all things male and literally wishes to genocide us? Come on, next you're gonna tell me you believe in horseshoe theory or something equally cringeworthy.
And lastly, ellipsis are the sign of a newfag. Kindly adapt.

What a whiny faggot.

That’s Shubuya Kaho or something like that.

Where's your argument, whinefag?

wew

Jap voice pack.

How embarrassing.

oh boy here we go

...

What did I miss?

I go to sleep once and I miss a bunch of daddy issues apparently.

Just some autist claiming yuri is evil or something.

...

Sperg about masculinity some more. I'm bored

If you enjoy homosexual activities, you are a homosexual. If you are a homosexual, there is something wrong with large areas of your brain - and possibly your genitals as well.

That's some excellent logic there, friendo.

...

Let's take a break from retards mistaking Holla Forums for their twitter account and talk about video games.
Which Blade is your favorite, character and/or gameplay wise? I quite like Adenine myself.

Nia is best primary character, Wulfric is best boy blade, Praxis is best girl blade. I like using spears.

That's a funny way to spell Zeke and Aegon

Pandoria is second place for MC Blades, she comes over any other rare blade.

I liked pandoria more when her glasses were opaque. I know, loyal waifu, feels and all, but autistic lightbulb was more fun.

Holy fuck, I just found out that tachyon chips that drop from the lvl 140 boss intemperantia revert your weapon's looks back to original with some upgrades. Gotta farm a shit ton of those right NAO

Oh, that is good to know.
Also, found these notes about future updates, NG+ aside.
Enemy rare blade recruitment would be nice. I do wonder what happened to Obrona.

So much this.
Torna blades have some cool designs, but little to no screen time and zero character development.
I'm 230hs in and enjoying the game plenty enough. I'm avoiding unlocking any affinity nodes that have "defeat X unique monster" on my blades exclusively because of Zenobia. I'm going to do a Unique Monster Quest after all my rares are missing only those nodes, in the order necessary to unlock all of Zenobia's affinity nodes. That means I still have some good few hours of gameplay left.
I shouldn't use this word, but I'm legitimately hyped for the season pass. Considering that it will add new rare blades, plus maybe Torna blades, I might buy that shit.

WTF?

Agate was my first pokedemon that I got. I just wanted KOS MOS.

No.

I'm 6ce664
Cosmos is cute and all. But her quest is a bit underwelming though. Other blades have better characterization.
Got her second to last, on Morag of all characters. I wanted Agate on Morag and Cos-Mos on Zeke, I was boosting his justice with every crystal, nonstop, and teh same for Morag's compassion, but RNG still decided Morag was a better fit, and I'm still missing Agate.
At least I can farm for both crystals and tachyon chips on teh same boss. Can't kill it yet though, have to rely solely on driver combos up to half HP, when he goes ultra-murderboss on my ass, then I flee

Has dykecuck user returned?

...

NOW

Have this one, friendo.

...

Mythras 'fuck auto attacks' passive has kind of ruined other blades for me gameplay wise, which is a shame since Pyra is best waifu wise.

There a more sensible list out there that I can follow?

From the top of my head

Since you're the only one who made an actual semi-argument you're not a breakfag, I'll give you a (You) and ask you to consider the following:
It's all a means to an end. With a world where dykes rule and men are dying, you'd be able to be the little buttslut you've always wanted to be. And you'll hang for such a vile wish.

and you're not*
I'm still waking up, excuse me.

Why must retards try to ruin these threads?

So where do I go from here? Go through all my core crystals until I get a tank type blade that isn't shit, then make either one of them a hybrid and grind some more so the blade has some proper affinities?

You must be seriously underleveled as I had little trouble with Nia healing and Rex pounding away. You could try equipping a healer blade on Rex too or just take control of Nia for that region.

Yeah, I had to switch Nia to tank to win this battle. Luckily she had Electra. Still this section is a bit retardedly designed if you ask me.

...

I think Rex is level 36, and Nia is 37.

Guess I'll try a combination of both.

Well that just means I'm better than you

Smashing bosses for cores is so damn fun, sometimes happens even without me doing anything if the AI is in my favor
Still need to get a better rare blade on Morag tho, Kassandra is decent but I'm sure there's a TNK blade with a better wep/element out there

Morag is great with katanas. She's already a good dodge tank, and katanas also have dodge abilities. As oposed to Tora who can just take a spear to the eye and keep fighting.

Brighid/Perceval/Aegeon is the perfect set for Morag.

Dagas makes everything easy with his +120% damage for the party. He also grants shekels for the tons of items you have to buy to get S+ ranks. I can't afford to switch him to Zeke and the gain would be miniscule anyway, so he does overlap with Pyra, but he's worth it.
Two obviously good choices and Dromarch. I'd replace him because he's pretty shit, but I don't have any way to give Nia Ursula or Adenine, and it feels weird to take him away from his story-bound partner anyway. I might do it NG+.
Aegeon/Brighid are too good to refuse, Finch/Theory are superior to Perceval but as Morag's hammer moves suck and make her less likely to switch to smash, I usually take Theory.
I miss one element, but as my Trust levels improve further, it's hard to even get 7 on most superbosses so who cares.

I like her Jojo poses with the Opaque glasses, but the clear ones are best for emotional moments.

Kinda wish you got to pick, or they swapped back and forth depending on the scene.

The chapter 7 blade is proving to be a very firm favorite-hits hard, heals hard and builds the specials really fucking fast, which is handy for switching to slower attack speed chars.

I do wonder how much of the blade progress will carry over into NG+. I'm grinding away at stuff here, and if it's like XBC1, we're going to keep a handful of chips (in place of weapons), keep levels, and a few other things. It would be interesting if we had access to Mythra at the same time as Pyra, just like you keep the True Monado.
I'm gonna be raged if I have to do the Ursula stuff all over again.

Mark my words, if we get to keep our rare blades on NG+ but have to re-grind their affinity charts, I'm gonna release her in the wild, and if I ever draw her again I'll release her again

We are… Ursula's New Groove! And we'll do what we can!

Yeah, have fun doing that with Beary out in THE DAMN WILDERNESS

You've got to wonder, how could you possibly design a blade quest worse than Ursula? And will we get her as a "free bonus" in a later update?

...

I'm currently grinding and trying to get kosmos and the other blades, and holy fuck I am going to kill myself if I don't get to keep them all. Ideally, you'd get to keep all your blades and affinity levels, but if you can't keep the affinity levels I'd be okay with the merc missions being unlocked right away.

Fucking hell. I wasn't holding my breath for Kosmos but a strength 1? What's a good boss to bully for a level 70 team.

I never got a single unique from a legendary core for what it's worth. And I have all the uniques.

I do the Vampire matriarch or whatever she is called in Uraya. Can get gold chips at the same time to make farming better.

If in post game you might be able to start on Cloud Sea King Ken, you'll probably at least get a few driver combos off to get some cores and moon matter chips. You'll be breaking him a lot less often then other bosses though at that level. I ended up killing him at level 79 trying to farm him.

All queer activities are disgusting and repulsive and if you enjoy them you are either a queer or a wimp who likes watching girls he's attracted to never give him the time of day

That being said, it's anime so it's tolerable. Mostly.
As long as it never gets to pic related then it's not fit for the bog just yet

Because, let me tell you, nothing made me want to burn a disc faster than hearing the token "badass" dyke boldly professing her enjoyment of breaking innocent girls' hymens
burn it and toss the corpse in a bog

>not the tough gril by becoming a juggernaut of love, having her psychological blows harmlessly plink off, and ultimately winning her affection in the end with hot n steamy hand holding

Whoever conceived and designed this quest seriously needs to get tortured.

Oh my God, this is the best thing ever.

...

At least you have plenty things to do in the game yet. You can be Ursula's pimp as you do other shit.
Im 230 hours in (and to be fair there's a lot of content for me to grind for the sake of completionism), and all I've been doing is taking on unique bosses for cores and chips while sending Ursula in quests in between fights. Most her stats are into 60 stamps so I might actually finish her quest today!
But I've heard that after that she resets her affinity chart like Dagas, so today might also be the day I either hang myself of throw my switch into a wall

Fucking kill me. I know I saved at least halfway through, but still. That's like, an hour of hopping around to fight shit-tier monsters.

Fuck that asshole, I'm coming back overleveled to shit all over him.

Why are the english VA's so monotone? that beginning part where rex bursts through the ship and hes yelling, that doesnt like how people would yell in that situation, it almost sounded bored

It depends on the VA.

Rex has some good moments near the end, but then he sounds like he is half assing it in half the other cut scenes.

Malos on the other hand is consistently great, while Mythra is consistently shit.

Everyone else in the "main cast" either suffers other issues other than "being dull" or is actually genuinely good.

Which comes down to direction in the end. The VAs are fine. It's the VA director that doesn't seem to know what they're doing.

Bursting through the ship didn't sound right on multiple levels, mainly it sounding like he was right in front of them the entire time when hes not even through the metal bothered me.

Pretty sure most of the acting was done straight from a script instead of actually seeing what was happening to the character. Not seeing what you're supposed to be acting fucks it all up.

Time for a new bread.
