Nintendo has not one, not two, but three gigantic sci-fi universes that are rich with lore, characters, story...

Why?

Nice

stop. they fit into their own genres and are best set in those genres. That said There's only ever been one good Star fox game so clearly nintendo is not capable at making good games in the rail shooter genre.

Star Fox, Metroid, what's the third one?

Japanese into perfectionism can’t into creativity

F-Zero.

the answer is because it's Nintendo. if it's not Pokémon, Mario, or Zelda ( sometimes smash brothers) they don't give a rats ass. they probably could design an engaging open- ended thrilling action/ puzzle title with RPG elements and a cast of likable characters from some obscure property they haven't touched and forever, like "Devil world" but they won't.

Stop.

You know that's not what I mean you nigger. I mean they create an epic story adventure using whatever gameplay is appropriate for the genre.

Star Fox could potentially be a fantastic game if they made a huge space mercenary simulator where you have to take paid contracts to pay bills and pay off the mortgage on the Great Fox. Fly around the lylat system killing enemies, defending freighters from pirates or destroying giant bosses to get more money.

Think of it like Mass Effect but fun, and complete.

Metroid is the only one out of those three with any lore, and said lore was written by gaijins so they won't acknowledge it.

There will never be a Captain Falcon game that is half F-Zero Racing Half Stylish Beat em Up Bounty hunting.

Oh right, that would have been easier to remember if they had done something with the series since the fucking Gameboy Advance. F-Zero GX2 or F-Zero GX re-release with online play, it will print money, no need to thank me Nintendo.

And, that's why they're making Prime 4.

I enjoyed the first star fox, its was okay (I thought the frame rate was terrible even back then), only played the beta of 2. it was fun. never liked Star Fox 64 for some reason. I enjoyed the first 45 minutes I played of Star Fox adventures dinosaur planet, but I've never played anything past that. and I've never touched anything else in the series especially by namco.

that being said, you really can't do anything much with that property in this day and age without turning it into furry/porn nightmare bait.

Here's the thing though, Star Fox Assault was the best game in terms of the direction the series could go (With even the multiplayer receiving high marks). However, because of the turbo autists sperging about "It's not MUH STAR FOX 64", Nintendo went back to the drawing board of remaking the SNES game three different times (With the second release literally being Star Fox 64) rather than continuing experimentation and making the series the next Star Wars Battlefront.

F-Zero has a ton of characters, each with their own backstories and motivations, many tying into each other. They even go through character arcs, like Mighty Gazelle being depressed about being nearly entirely robot in X, only to get over it by finding a girlfriend by the time GX takes place. A lot could be done just spring boarding off the varied cast. Star Fox doesn't have quite as much going for it, but the concepts presented in the games could still make for an interesting, cohesive world, if Nintendo tried.

Fans will make porn of anything. That's not a good reason to not make a game.

You realize that pic related exists, right? And I loved every bit of iteven if it could have been better

Agreed, but there is proof that it was autists fault that they went back rather than just going back the safe route? Also, Command wasn't so bad. Holla Forums should do an Star Fox Assault game night. What is the limit for Assault rooms anyway?

F-Zero has a lot of exploitable content, I was surprised how detailed all the track backgrounds were even in areas you couldn't see. Shame there's little ambition from Nintendo nowadays that's not about Mario or Zelda.

Not true. While its characters aren't as vast and varied as F-Zeros, it makes up for that by having an entire system of planets and colonies each with their own flora and fauna and culture. One could easily imagine the depth of stuff that goes on there involving interplanetary commerce, business and politics, and use that stuff to give the characters a frame to position themselves in.

I should've clarified that this isn't what I meant. I meant more "epic adventure world exploring game with lots of polish, depth and stuff to discover" and less "Zelda-style game". As I said earlier, think Mass Effect but good.

Come to think of it, I'd really want to see an open world game set in some sort of futuristic city with flying cars like in The Fifth Element or Coruscant in Star Wars. And no, I don't mean cheap "le open world" meme, but an evolution of the PS2 era GTA formula or something, if only games weren't so expensive to make nowadays that only big companies can afford to make the same safe crap that attracts casuals.

Reminder that Kirby has the deepest lore of any Nintendo Sci-Fi series.

Please. Aside from being even shorter than the already short 64, the ground sections were not very well designed, primarily because they all took place on re-purposed multiplayer maps. There's a reason the multiplayer in that game is so good, because that seems to be where they put almost all their effort. Instead of minimizing the rail shooter aspect for yet another sci-fi tps, they should have focused on enhancing and extending off it. Increase replayability by making the paths you take have more effects on later levels than just an extra wing-man showing up. Have a bunch of Star Fox 1 styled weird secrets to find. Give options before a mission, like choosing to help Corneria on the ground front or helping the defenses in the skies. Do what Zero was supposedly going to do and have choices made within levels affect later levels. Have more than two finales (but not like how Command did it). Add in the ability to choose your pilots like in Star Fox 2, or add in Arwing customization, instead. There's a lot that could be done with Star Fox 1's/64's style of game, which would be greatly appreciated given the modern dearth of on rails arcade space shooters.

That's precisely where Star Fox shouldn't go. Its original appeal was the space fighters and mercenary aspect, and that's what they should focus on. We don't need another class based, team based multiplayer shooter. Star Fox should be more Macross than Star Wars.

Blame Nintendo demanding it to bechanged to a Star Fox game at the last so that they could keep the rights, amd that the last quarter of the games was slapped together due to Microaoft acquiring Rare.
TBH, I didn like it as well, and didn't understand why it got the hate it did.

So, Metroid Prime?

You do know that's mostly a meme started by the Western game industry because they don't know how to budget or code, right?

Buddy, I've gotten more repeatability out of Assault than I did 64 if you're going to play that card.

They tried to do a game that explored the universe of Metroid. But everyone got mad at it because no Samus.

Lore is for fucking faggots, same with story.

>TBH, I did like it as well, and didn't understand why it got the hate it did.
>I've gotten more replayability out of Assault than I did 64
Fucking typos

I should have elaborated. AAA games are aiming for some unreachable ideal resulting in little content while the costs are through the roof. As graphics advance it just becomes more time consuming to make things more detailed, making games really was cheaper in say the PS2 era. I would be happy with a game that has graphics on say early 7th gen level in exchange of just putting more shit in it. That's why I like many Japanese games nowadays because they don't care about appearing shiny, or Slav games that may be a little clunky but also have more content.

One last thing…
Fine then, give us the next ROUGE FUCKING SQUADRON! WE JUST WANT NEW GAMES THAT ARE ACTUALLY GOOD!

I get it. And it's true. Hell, it's more or less a shared universe and everything, remember that James McCloud, a driver in F-Zero, is Fox's father, and even look the part.

user already said it's value is more in multiplayer, though.
I always thought multiplayer should be an extra and not a focus for any game unless you're a torney fag or a dudebro. That being said, Assault is good because the mechanic of the single player fit perfectly multiplayer, and they could have expanded on that. I don't think Start Fox should be NuBattlefront, but more like the original Battle Front 2
And there you have it.

Probably the fight between SF64 and the ones who oppose to it, plus all the retarded endings.
user want a game where you travel to different planets. I think MP3 does it, but I'm sure MP1 and 2 doesn't.

What you want to do is essentially to give Star Fox the open world treatment. It would become a horribly dull and grindy game where all you do is do escort or extermination mission after mission to get money to get that small upgrade to one part of your ship. I certainly hope they never do this, but since Skyrim was an inspiration for the latest Zelda it's actually entirely possible. The reason why games like Star Fox aren't 100+ hour epics is that they would get really tedious if you just fight random enemy after each other. Instead they make small, hand-crafted sections to make the game actually engaging and give the games more replay value. They could stand to be longer, but your idea of making the game Skyrim: Airship edition is terrible. Not every single series needs the open world treatment.

I think Starfox, Metroid and F-Zero are canonically all in the same universe. I mean, F-Zero GX has Fox's father and some randos who work for the Galactic Federation, and the Arwings use the same G-Diffuser tech as the F-Zero ships.

As for why Nintendo doesn't do anything with them, they can't into arcadey games and need other people to develop them. Look at F-Zero GX and the Prime trilogy, great games that Nintendo had little direct involvement in except for creative direction. IMO they should just sell those IPs to developers that could handle them better, but that'll never happen as long as they're still stuck in their draconian 1980s business practices.

Factor 5 had a lot of great projects that were shafted, either by Nintendo restricting them or because they only had support from small time publishers later. Their Pilotwings-like Wii game looked like nice relaxing casual fun

It would have been cool to see a semi open world game from Metroid. Now hear me out. It's like Fusion, but instead of 1 map it has 50, cities you can visit, take bounties, find enemy bases, etc. It's 2D so it'll be easy to plan. Only hard part is making the game interesting enough to last that long, and making enough enemies and character variety.

Hunters did that, but the game is much more restrictive in it's design.

They're just cameos. Notice how James is not actually a fox but clearly a human wearing similar clothes and with a hairstyle that looks like his head. Mr. EAD is a reference to Mario and the development team with the same name. Games in general, and Nintendo games in particular, are full of this. Remember all those times Mario shows up in Zelda games?

...

Assault was a huge disappointment for me. The first level told me it was going to be an arcade-style, no-bullshit, high-intensity rail shooter. Just what you'd expect from Namco, the makers of Starblade. But after that, Nintendo style kicks in: slower pacing, more exploration, less focus. Boring!

BOTW kiddies please go. All the good Metroids already allow a bit of freedom in deciding where you'll go and what weapons you'll collect next, they ARE "semi open world." The next step is going full-retard and making it a boring game with no sense of progression.

Nintedo is responsible for spreading furfags and casuals to gaming.

making games has always been expensive, reminds me of a conversation I had with a friend years ago, back when outlaw Star was at the height of its popularity in the West (never reached the level of cowboy bebop though) and he asked me why nobody could make a game about space travel with all the elements of an awesome space adventure story. (or just plain make an open ended outlaw Star game). years later I asked him about mass effect, it was about 25 to 50% of what he had hoped a space adventure game could be.

Oh look, it's this disgruntled shitposter. Here's a pity (You), but you won't get any more.

He's describing Crackdown:Starfox edition and that sounds cool as fuck

The only way to make a game with endless bounty hunting missions actually fun, is to make each individual mission interesting and new, or pull at your heartstrings with the characters and drama involved. An open-world Metroid, implying any more "openness" than it has right now, would be a massive mistake and get old after your first 5 to 10 missions when you realize how repetitive it is. Open world is trash, games need structure.

Except you'd be in a spaceship, and movement and possible actions in a spaceship are significantly more limited. Unless you want a Star Fox Adventures 2.

they could be both open and structured, that's basically how every clone of GTA3 has worked. a "massive" open world to mess around in between playing the the actual story progression, which is very structured and linear. if every story mission was for instance like a well-written episode of a TV show or anime that expanded upon gameplay concepts you could use in the open world. that could be pretty interesting especially in a sci-fi fantasy/space setting.

Expensive but yielded the results. I can't hope for an open world game packed with content as much as say GTA San Andreas or Saints Row 2 now because it's all burned on graphical assets (not to mention there's no ambition).

unless somebody could actually do procedurally generated worlds and levels properly…. that was one of the big promises of this generation.

but that's the thing, the art assets themselves really don't cost that much more to make. especially if you make open world games. how he times do you need to make a table, and chair, car etc. a while back during the last generation a shared asset database was proposed to help cut down massively on development costs but none of the big publishers would sign up because they knew that they could just throw money away keep everything proprietary, can make sure that none of the middle tier or smaller scope studios could have access to potentially huge library of assets. the biggest issue is employee time cost a lot of money and game design and mission design are fairly time intensive. not to mention the tools to design and implement a poorly designed on purpose. with job security being such an issue in the games industry taking forever to make a game is probably another weird side effect of our endless boom/bust cycle

please excuse the typos

Even then, the nature of a spaceship is significantly more limited. Movement alone makes a huge difference. On foot you can move in any direction you want, jump and often fall. A ship always moves forward, cutting out any movement ability except to move ahead and turn. And of course combat is infinitely more complex outside of a ship, as all a ship can realistically do is shoot things and maybe deflect occasionally. It works in tightly designed linear levels but would get far too restrictive and tedious in an open world. If you see something that grabs your interest in GTA for example, you can stop and take a look and possibly interact with it. Maybe look in secluded spots for secrets. In a ship? All you can do is fly past.

New Starfox games can't be made following what the hardcore fans expect. I understand that back in the 90s you loved arcade shooters that didn't give you much freedom of movement or exploration, but now that shit just doesn't work anymore.
I would love to see a different Starfox, use the characters to create big open space battles, use all the extra power consoles have now to fill it with enemies and allies. Make that shit dynamic, make it spectacular.

However as soon as they try something new everybody's gonna be up in arms, so the series is just destined to nothing.

I'm unsure what the third other franchise is though?
Metroid, Starfox and?

I highly doubt it. Procedural generation has been worked on for more than the past two decades, and all it has caused as a result is developers and customers to all agree that it will never have as much depth, complexity, and/or actual quality as a game that is structurally designed with an actual "End game" in mind.

...

Like Dwarf Fortress?

There's a Mario Paint canon and you can't convince me otherwise.

Did they just have to admit they didn't know what to do with it and gave it back to merica?

You know exactly what I mean, you idiot. You know damn well that Star Fox game, open world or otherwise, would restrict you to moving forward and turning/rising/diving. It's a fuckton more restrictive than a normal person being able to move in any direction at several speeds as well as jumping. You want to move back five meters to grab that item or look at something or just fucking move away from an enemy for a better combat position? Just run. Want to do the same in Star Fox? You get to turn the ship around.

Prime 4 isn't being made by Retro apparently, so who the fuck knows how it will turn out.

Read the thread. It's F-Zero

Having shit taste doesn't make your preferred game have more replayability. 64 has 16 missions compared to Assault's ten. Even taking difficulty modes into account, that's 32 versus 30. 64's missions have different win conditions with branching level progression. Assault is entirely linear with a single win condition in each mission. The only thing Assault has over 64 is collectibles, which are just a boring reference to an old Namco game. Again, the only worthwhile things about Assault are the multiplayer and tech designs. The campaign's story is bland, which is made worse by its greater focus on story than 64. Instead of having a bunch of exciting on-rails sections broken up by the occasional all-range section, all but three levels are entirely all-range (with the exception of the glorified turret sections), with you mostly just running around open, empty maps while shooting respawning enemies that just sit or wander around. The lack of complex enemy AI in 64 was excusable, as most levels had entirely scripted enemies, due to being on rails. Assault's enemies are just as stupid, if not more so, which is inexcusable with the game's focus on all-range gameplay. All the unlockables are entirely for multiplayer, which means all the fun weapons are only in multiplayer.

Basically Starfox should take some lessons from the musou series on how to design giant battles with shit going on around everywhere.

F-zero isn't a massive universe
It's just dudes racing with the only lore coming from the comic

Musou is an awful example for what I'm talking about.

I'd like something like the battles that were advertised in both No Man's Sky and Elite Dangerous that are just not in the game.
Like a 128 player space battle in Battlefront 2

I've never played Skyrim, that's not my idea at all. In my ideal Star Fox game, each planet would have a bunch of different missions on it that are each hand-crafted to be a different challenge to get you more money. The thing about the money is that you have bills to pay just to survive each month, as well as a team to keep on your payroll, so you have to keep a steady income.

In this game you start off with three team members and you can draft more characters from the Star Fox universe into your team. During missions you can give the team orders to assemble or attack certain targets, and also you can customize your ship's loadouts so that every pilot has a unique weapon setup. Or you can keep them all default. More team members makes missions easier but it also increases your spending per month.

I'd also include cool bonus/secret levels like the Out of this Dimension level where you can rack up lots of money if you're skilled or lucky enough.

There are never going to be any more moments like when God challenges Captain Falcon to a race and Falcon's like "bitch you can't fucking beat me"

F-Zero has plenty to work with.

I'll be honest I never played GX, my bad there

mfw there's more than one twelve year old in this thread who doesn't know what F-Zero is

Nigga I just didn't get it I know what it is
It's just not the first thing that comes to mind when you mention huge sci-fi franchises with amazing lore

Why does the description of this remind me of an RTS, or Brütal Legends?

You do know Assault has a ranking system for each mission, right?

What's you fucking point? Ranking systems are pointless and retarded in 99% of games.

I suppose they're not making enough money to justify the risks of making one of those. If they made a game like that: it'd surely have a cult following but they'd eat the cost of poor sales (which is a reasonable prediction).

With Nintendo being a Yakuza front, however, I wouldn't expect them to take such a risk with one of their neglected IP's because they're in the business purely to make money rather than being in the business to make games as well as money.

It has almost the exact same medal system that 64 does. The single difference is that there's an extra medal for beating the mission with all your wing-mates intact, and it's shared between all three difficulties, meaning you can get it on Bronze and never worry about it again.

I'm pretty sure you just described elite dangerous for the most part.

GX greatly expanded the lore. Also, each new GBA game added a bunch of lore to the instruction manuals about the characters and worlds, what their commerce and politics are like, etc. F-Zero is absolutely stuffed to the brim with this kind of flavorful lore shit. It's Nintendo's fault that the game doesn't come to mind when you think of huge sci-fi universes.

All I want is a new F-Zero. Fuck spin-off bullshit.

when I first started reading the thread, I knew Star Fox and Metroid right away, but I didn't really think about F-zero. I thought it might be something like X-chronicles or even sin and punishment being big sci-fi worlds. (probably more sci-fi franchises Nintendo owns that we haven't listed here. maybe they're all part of some shared universe? supposedly star Fox and F-zero are connected)

...

Kill yourself

Seriously, how the fuck do you not know about F-Zero?
Are you actually five years old?

Nintendo doesn't do anything good because they are dying

Seriously my daughter bugged my wife enough for a Switch and she got her side of the family to buy one for christmas (I refused)
What a piece of shit. I am not impressed.
This is what they discontinued the 3ds for?

also

Ranking systems that open up additional levels/gear/options are good

You're trying way too hard to feel superior fucker.

They made a 51 episode anime for F-Zero There is plenty to work with.

Star Fox and F-Zero don't actually take place in the same universe they just reference each other with little things. like one of the ending in Star Fox command.

Spiritually, it's arguable, I don't know if they were ever really alive in the first place. On the other hand, the Switch is the fastest selling video game hardware in both Japan and the US, apparently, so it seems the market disagrees.

Your argument is disingenuous at best

Is this one of the fabled paid nintendo shills I've heard about

I know about f-zero, I played the fuck out of the original when it was released (all the snes launch titles are some of my favorite games to this day). I just didn't think about it as science fiction universe/series. I always just think about it a racing game first. sort like wipeout, that's also technically science fiction but I still just think of it as racing game. meh.

definitely this

yeah, I guess the connection has never been " official" but if they did follow that line of reasoning I guess it would explain what happened to Fox's dad.

huh

James turning into a human and Racing in F-Zero is some how a more logical expatiation to you then him just being dead, a ghost, or Fox's hallucinating.

THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!

I'm surprised you've never heard of this, even in passing.

Back in my day, people understood the difference between a fun reference and being canonically linked. It's like saying Fallout exists in the same universe as Doctor Who and Star Trek.

Pssst.

Hey.

Guess what.

Assault is shit, it's an even shittier clone of Battlefront

far as I know, they never found a body…

Fallout, Doctor Who and Star Trek, aren't made by the same company, so your analogy doesn't work at all.

From which portapootty did you dredge up this turd of a name?

Fuck off Highlander was awesome.

The fuck does the body have to do with it. one James is a Fox and the other is a Human. They can't be the same person without it being retarded.

Additionally, Star Fox and F-Zero could feasibly exist in the same universe, though in different parts of it. Fallout, Doctor Who, and Star Trek all obviously take place in vastly different realities where Earth followed different histories.

have you played the first zelda game?

Also, it's called a transition.

is this actually as amazing as it looks?

if they never found a body, it means he might not be dead. duh

Star Trek is one of those shows that has traveled through time and multiple realities, so they could theoretically be part of any universe. in the comics they've had crossovers with the X-Men, Dr. Who, the Justice league, Power Rangers. and probably a bunch of other stuff i'm forgetting.

Crossovers are just what-its for fun, let's not start this autism again. I remember when 2009 cuckchan Holla Forums was so bad with autistic valvedrones seriously pondering the theories that Half-Life, Left 4 Dead and TF2 are totally in the same universe.
One hilarious inversion though: I still see people who don't understand that the PS2 GTA games and the HD ones since IV take place in separate continuities.

I'm talking literally, you damn buffoon. Yes, the first Zelda was open, but that's not why BotW is the way it is.

Never seen it, but I would guess "no" since I've never heard it mentioned on /a/ ever, only in threads like these.

COMBINE THE WORLDS

you can have crossovers that are part of mainline continuity for both series. not that it really matters though. in the case of starfox and f-zero it's fairly ambiguous and then in a tongue-in-cheek way. it can't really be argued for or against without some official recognition from Nintendo but even then that probably doesn't matter too much, did they throw out the Zelda timeline stuff? whereas for years they kept trying to say there was no timeline? Canon and continuity in fiction are always changing. nothing to get too worked up about.

What are you even talking about? I literally don't understand how what you just said relates to my post. And I basically shit on Nintendo in my post, I don't know why you think I'm a shill.

Did they throw out the Zelda timeline stuff? whereas for years they kept trying to say there was no timeline?
They finally said, "yes, there is a timeline" and recognized the fan theory as fact. And then BotW immediately fucked up the continuity.

It all makes sense now
:^)

from what I've heard they've abandoned the timeline as of Breath of the Wild (part of me also wonders if hyrule warriors might've had something to do with that decision) ( Zelda warriors developer Eiji Aonuma had been thinking of it as being similar to The Avengers and that Zelda games my all just be different universes instead of one continuous world)

of course that could change with the next game, heck even the next DLC. consistency isn't exactly Nintendo's thing.

nah

So did Slippy's dad fuck a frog?

that explanation makes more sense than the last few sci-fi games I played last year. @_@ ;^)

...

(OP)
There are a few reasons.

1.This should be fucking obvious but needs to be said anyway, they don't sell as much as mario, zelda or pokemon.
2.Nintendo doesn't care about the story about their IPs, rather what gimmicks/innovations they can then shove it in a IP that makes the most sense for it. Usually, looking at you kid icarus uprising and starfox adventures.
3.Nintendo has tried this with metriod: other m, it failed. Miserably.
4.The breadth of fan expectations what you can do with those IP's a lot smaller than you think. Kinda like starwars is, sure it's space shit, but without the magical space samurai and the space nazi's it's just another generic scifi setting. Metroid fans just want to explore planets, find collectables and escape before the planet blows up. They don't want Metroid:MGS edition. Starfox fans are split with wanting either a rail shooter or a rouge squadron game (seen here ) with furries in it. F-zero may have a shot at expansion beyond racing space cars, but that's only because that series is so fucking dead.

He's got an uncle though. His name is Grippy.

Nice

Slippy's dad was in assault and command

So Slippy's mom was probably a human. She must have bought into the whole frog prince meme.

...

I was thinking more along the lines that the characters of Star Fox are actually humans being represented by anthropomorphized animals corresponding to each individual's psyche, but yeah, I suppose it could be that he fucked a fox.

Grippy the uncle to Slippy, no homoerotic pedophile undertones there.

Furries already have quite a few pseudo 'bugchasing' fetishes. Who's to say they'll try to force it on the normal popualtion.

Star Fox obviously takes place in the far future of Beyond Good and Evil, where the furries have entirely outbreeded the normal humans. The Aparoids are the evolution of the Domz.

pretty sure that's the basic plot for 90% of furry media released in the mid 80s/early 90s

...

You could have put that under a spoiler.

come on, it's honestly not that that bad. (compared to what we have now) at least it's a biological female dressed as something female.

That's pretty fucking optimistic.

By furry media you mean the cottage industry that furries made or media that had furry animals in it. I can see the former happened but not any mass produce media for the latter.

Man even the furries in the 80s knew how to party.

Also that's totally a guy isn't it?

You mean wide shoulders and small ass don't make it evident?

since it was the (I believe) mid-80s they actually had to keep up the pretense of some normality, they didn't go full out of the closet Homo degenerate until the mid-90s.

Western proto-furries existed as far back as the 1960s (possibly 50s but no confirmed reports). furries as we know them today are a product of the late 70s and early 80s.

from what I was told, the "dominatrix doe" underneath the costume is a well-known exotic dancer/dominatrix of the era. VHS tape this footage comes from has way more risqué material that I probably couldn't post ""without getting banned"".

just like spoiler image

post it on /fur/ and link here

Even today there are plenty of girl furfags. You think a woman would not try to cash in on all that desperation?

There is nothing you can do to convince me that the vast majority of furries with tits on their suits aren't rocking cocks in their codpieces.

a lot of it's just exotic dancing (although probably a bit clumsy because it's hard to see through the mask I would imagine), posing for pictures and softcore bondage stuff with attendees. the other part is hidden camera footage of fondling and lap dances with possible genitalia exposed.

With enough effort you can make a convincing looking cameltoe, but there's not much you can do about wide shoulders.

There are plenty of furry girls out there, they look like this tho

even when there is a female the suits these days are so bulky you can't really tell. I'm not entirely sure why they switch to the extremely bulky themepark mascot style suits. especially when they often get overheated

Mind giving some sauce for a thristy furfag?

Btw that a furfag girl who killed her parents and no, her fursona wasnt a horse :DDDD

Because they're furrier I guess.

Great, now someone is going to post the practical use of combat furries cap. I hope you're fucking proud of yourself.

...

:^)

not all of them are that hideous, but the vast majority of them are, unfortunately due to being disgusting fat homosexual males with diaper fetishes if most furry's were semi-attractive straight/bi women we probably wouldn't be so disgusted by them. (or maybe we would be even more disgusted by them, I guess it depends)

It was the "shirt" in the breast area that raised flags for me. Would make it very easy to to pad the bra that way.

Upload it on mixtape moe?

It's always been disproportional gay
adjectivespecies.com/2013/08/05/only-22-of-furries-are-gay/
That may seem small but consider this:
The entire US black population is 13%
The US LGBT population is less than 5%
The article isn't counting bisexual furries either which push furries more than 50% commiting homosexual acts. Pic related.

Exceptions confirm rule but still, never put your dick into crazy

No shit, but there exist gay women, and just because it is highly male does not mean none exist. Gaming is highly male but there are tons of twitch whores.

not to mention even when they are "female", there are usually some type of horrible tumbler feminist with comorbidity issues. and sometimes they get interviewed by fake doctors from Texas

No fucking shit. It's whole reason why people ask "are traps gay?" in the first place.

Furries were ahead of the curve with gender pronoun shit what makes you surprised that they would embrace those bullshit sexualities as well?

technically 2 and 3 weren't made by "retro" either as the whole team shuffled. The main guy behind them was tanebe, who wanted to make more metroid but Nintendo wouldn't let him and shoved Blast ball into his hands

It's safe to say nintendo knows the metroid fans are loud and Tanebe wants metroid to be good but has a history of nintendo not letting him.

archive.is/zhmpy

Otherkin cancer is what started it all, and why they are so infested with SJW shit now.

wasn't that mostly due to the fault of an old senile developer that somehow thought he was going to make other-M into into a really deep thought provoking science-fiction animu story about freedom, choice, obedience, duty and… motherhood? or some other such nonsense. also, had team ninja ever pulled off a good third-party game for a major publisher?

they'll find some way of screwing it up, like forcing half the game either behind a pay wall or forcing you to link the game up to a half-baked cell phone minigame as part of their mobile initiative.

The F-zero Anime starts off with a golden idea and then fucking drops the ball.

If is true then those furries always existed they just happen to internalize the wish fulfillment. Besides I think it was herm furries that caused the pronoun shit in the first place.

The man wanted to direct a movie when he had no experience of doing that and expected casuals to flock to it because of the controls. If he didn't insist on the controls and let team ninja make the game into a ninja gaiden/dmc clone it would of been different. although the fanbase would be divided as fuck just like RE's and sonic's

hmm… makes games for profit or for some passion project user? which will do better?

here is how other M happened

I blame Oscar Martinez (and Naoko Takeuchi, just a little bit) for a good majority of that garbage.

actually I was mostly on board with that idea when I heard team ninja was involved, I knew it wasn't going to be like the prime series and I was mostly fine with the decision. unfortunately it didn't work out like that because of all the clunky design choices.

games made from passion do well with people who love video games, games made for profit do well with critics, shareholders and the unwashed masses. which ones do you see get the most priority?

but tbh any popular ip can make a old title come back but it's easier to stick with what will work.

yeah but that strategy is only safe for the interim, stagnation and fatigue will the erode and kill the market slowly. without an infusion of new blood and ideas everything falls apart. that's why the movie industry is doing relatively badly (sequel, remake, reboot, copy, derivative)

We've already seen how they'll screw it up. All the cool unlockables will be locked behind amiibos. I hope you like having to pay extra for the sound test, fucker!

I forgot about those, did somebody figure out how to hack/clone them? I could've sworn I saw the news blurb about that.

Nobody liked the new Starfox. Hell nobody cared about the old Starfox.

Metroid is cult, never been a system seller. And again Metroid hasn't been good in years.

They published a "Legend of Zelda Compendium" that you can buy in stores that explains the timeline. Whether or not it was intentional, the game could all be explained as being in a continuing timlines. BotW is the first one that fucks it up, and it only came out after Nintendo said the timeline was real, so I'm betting someone is enjoying fucking with the fans.

So are we going to ignore the fact that someone found the original greentext in the same thread as when the guy "remade" it?

I'm still pissed that the hardest mode was locked behind an amiibo in the newest game

Amiibos are just fucking NFC chip, IIRC the ones that nintendo uses have hold 512 bytes, not kilobytes but bytes. You couldn't put DRM on those to even save your life. All you need is a NFC reader/writer some blank NFC tags, and go to that nfc-bank website to download the amiibo data.

You can get an app for your phone to read/write NFC tags, The guy who was making it was trying to clone those dumb Spyro thingies for his kid so he wouldn't have to buy them all.

...

ah, got me there

come on user, a NEET has to have some form of communication outside his crusty old LAN party stained computer!

… gophones count?

Yeah a old fliphone that his parents gave him back in highschool or a hand me down smartphone that so old the NFC apps wouldn't work in the firstplace. Also

didn't star fox get an adventure game on gc though

A land line phone or outside.

>no-one will even bother to try and contradict this undisputed fact

Feels pink, round, and squishy man.

Science Fantasy doesn't count as Sci-Fi.

That's probably because nobody cares about Kirby, user

...

Now you just jinxed it, ya dipshit.

Is this sarcasm because I genuinely don't have a smartphone.

It's too late. You cannot un-Kirby the thread, now.

It was shit and other than taking place in the Star Fox universe, there was nothing remotely Sci-Fi about it.

Just curious

gay

FUCK

Nice try faggot.

what a waste
mine was better

Besides your last point, it still sounds like a fun watch. Though with 50 episodes, It might make things a slog to go though once the show is done establishing the world.

They had Star Fox Zero recently and no one gave a shit about it.

Never seen a post so wrong.

All I want is a proper good SF game. Even a modern remake of SNES games (with a new story to act as a sequel) would have been a good idea. I fucking pissed that Q-games even pitched a 3DS remake of SF1 after finishing SF64 3D and Nintendo declined it. Even Nintendo said no to online multiplayer in SF64 3D, sometimes it feels like they WANT the series to die. The only unintentional good that Zero has brought us along with that 15 minute SF anime is that the SF64 "well" is truly dried up now, so they have to do something new or remake/re-imagine a different SF game.

I don't blame anyone for wanting it. I think people just want a SF online multiplayer mode that can be at the same level of on foot combat, ground vehicle combat and flying vehicle combat as Battlefront. Even a remade Assault multiplayer with more players and online would be good enough.

A basic "smaller" idea I had for a Starfox game would be to contain it to a large area on a single planet (like Aquas) and have it play out like a 3D version of Will Wright first game Raid on Bungeling Bay, where you have to go around destroy enemy island facilities before they can advance in tech and overwhelm you, while also have to deal with SF2 inspired random elements of things like weather or enemy patrols to make each playthrough different or more difficult. Could have the team members with different Arwing with minor variations and possibly even local co-op.

Tanabe had the idea for FF during the DSi era but the FPS controls didn't work out so he gave up. Then when the N3DS (because of the 2nd analogue nub) was in development they decided to try again with a co-op FPS yet missed the N3DS launch and still a had to make FPS controls work with the original 3DS (gyro).
While Blast Ball was the result for a competitive mode in FF where players would be shooting a target and not each other and yet it feels like each shot to push the (default) ball feels like it's movement is being counted by the opposite team doing the same thing resulting in a feeling like you have jack shit control of the ball (unless it spawns out that faster, lighter speed ball or the lava ball in certain conditions). Also doesn't help that there was only a single arena to play in with no other variation, even RL got that right.

Look man there's only two things that SF as a whole want, a more in depth rail shooter like sin and punishment was or rouge squadron: furry edition. Nintendo just treats SF as a spaghetti dartboard of ideas because that's what it was when they created it in the first place.

Mass Effect's problem is the writers spent too much time huffing Roddenberry's farts of space communism.

I'd really like a Star Wolf Spinoff game with them just doing jobs from both sides (shutting down down Cornerian defense ships, guarding outposts, ambush fleets, or even taking down Star Fox at the end). A Star Fox 2 styled map system would be nice for that.
Also, a slower paced 2D Metroid game (with Prince of Persia/Flashback styled movement) would be pretty interesting.
And why there's not a Racing Beat em Up F-Zero game yet?

Go back to Holla Forums, fag.

It's a closet-normalfag projecting his normalfaggotry.

SF will not be touched for a long time because the recent game did shit because they made it shit iirc

It hurts to live

...

This is strange bait

lets get a link to those videos there user,

...

...

Of course, the tor poster shitposts.

Krystal is maybe the most popular furry character there ever was, and furries are eager and happy to spend their money on products aimed at them. She'll be back.

Well it's been more than a decade.

Just like the first GX didn't

Except 8chanmania into which you constantly post her faggot.

Implying Sonic isn't furry.

but user, nips made him so it's okay! :^)

Star Fox and F-Zero have Sonic tier autistic fanbases. Metroid is the only good Nintendo sci-fi franchise and it's getting releases.

She's videogames you know :^)

The furry fandom is why there's a stigma on anthropomorphic characters.

You know, it just occurred to me that japan makes almost all the vidya furshit. Star Fox, Klonoa, Pokemon, Solatorobo, Sonic.

She shouldn't have been in the games in the first place. Star Fox Adventures was just Dinosaur Planet with Star Fox slammed into the titles. Miyamoto had Starfox stole her own game from her.

And they make most of the autistic bullshit as well, people don't mind because the art work looks good.

Sonic Adventure 2 came out in 2001 and Star Fox Adventures came out in 2002
What's up with both Nintendo and Sega both making blatantly sexual Furries with in the same time span.

You ask that today, back then trend was to get buyers with high sexualization and nobody gave a damn neither about furry meme nor feminism.

THE GUIJIN KNOW, SHUT IT DOWN!

oh fug :-D

Tits sell. Can't have Fox McCloud running around with a busty human, so just slap some tits on one of his animal pals.

In MP3, the planet travel really feels like a replacement for the elevators in MP1 and 2. Same goes for Hunters.

God damn, at least nintendo knew. Fucking sega trying that shit in sonic 06.

They literally did.
Anyhow, Starfox is an arcade shooter, F-Zero is a racing game, Metroid is about isolation, serenity, quiet understated vibes.
None of these things need to become sci-fi epics.
In fact if they made a new F-Zero game after all this time, and it was some kind of RPG rather than an actual F-Zero game, I'd be mad as fuck, because I actually like F-Zero, not just the meme of F-Zero.
Fuck off, it's a racing game. It's my favourite racing franchise ever, and it deserves a real new game after more than a decade.

I wouldn't be bothered by Krystal so much if it wasn't a total genre mismatch for Star Fox.

Star Fox is a scifi game series. Krystal adds an element of fantasy magic shit to it that doesn't belong. They should try to make her more sci-fi, like at least make her some sort of "space mystic" like Deanna Troi or something. Or maybe give her cyber implants on her temples or some stupid shit that seemingly gives her these powers.

That's a good way to put it. They came up with nice planet settings and lore behind them (fuckloads of Reptilicus lore didn't even make it into the game that is only preserved on a blog by a Retro employee/Metroid wikis), but none of the planets "felt" different. No differences in gravity, movement/viability affecting weather like strong winds/fog.

Imagine say going from the Earth like (normal) gravity situation of Norion to say a stronger gravity world like Byyro which could affect how long you can jump, requiring the finding the Grapple Beam for long gaps then to high cloudy atmosphere of Elysia and imagine that with low gravity for floaty long jumps but at the same time having to deal with wind slowly pushing in one direction on every outdoor platform or having wait for a dense cloud to roll through that might require the use of changing visors. (I'll admit Elysia is a gas giant and would probably have a strong gravity instead).

Even a game like Xenoblade Chronicles X did more with it's unique weather and that was reserved for different continents. But at the same time, could you get as extreme as BoTW with it weather/settings affecting your choice of weapon usage no bomb arrows on Death Mountain, no metal weapons/armor in lightning conditions, RAIN ruining everything.

Maybe just make a good one? Sin and Punishment 2 was great. Admittedly, that game is coming up on a decade old now, so it's not new exactly, but it was made way after the arcade era.
Like, did you miss how popular Sonic Mania and Cuphead were? I don't get this logic at all.

We have to go back to 1977, call George Lucas and tell him he should drop those faggy Jedi from his upcoming sci-fi movie. That would definitely improve it. All that pirouetting around with glowsticks is for nerds anyway.

Well if it bombed without the jedi then at least we wouldn't have to deal with nuStar Wars.

Guys guys… StarFox should have vehicle customization that change how your Arwing plays with money you earn from missions. No foot missions necessary. Though hiring pilots with different abilities could be fun too.

She puts a spell on my dick if you know what I mean.

Oh boy

Well shit, fuck, even Tezuka leaned towards this kind of shit.

/k/ never ceases to amazes at how furry it can go, even Holla Forums was getting into because of that waifu.

furry is like the plague, many are susceptible to it despite what they may think

Japan has always been the epicenter.

This sums up, sadly.
Just fucking end this
inb4 theres russian furry artists doing commissions of this shit

So, kemono is older than western furry
i am surprised it never went mainstream on Japan, if it that old

shut the fuck up before I call the police.

The majority of Zabivaka porn comes from Russia themselves. never trust russomutts tbh

SEGA was even going to try it with one of Sonic's early concepts. They were going to have a Jessica to Sonic's Rodger.

It's vague whether that was James's spirit, his actual living self, or just a hallucination Fox had. You can't really call that magic, for sure.

Japan has a shame based society, you can't be shameful of something that everyone does out in the open. Part of their social contract is that they are all freaky little bastards but that all work 9 to 5 in a completely uniform and unremarkable but not so unremarkable to become remarkable way.

Just think. Furries could have been averted.

peace was never an option.

...

What the fuck is going on in Holla Forums?

I want a room like that.

They realized who they were.

...

>Libre office, a better microsoft office clone, makes a contest for a logo the only thing Holla Forums is really good with
>Holla Forums and half/g/, apparently throws a shitfit.
Polite sage

Holla Forums has found its furry waifu. Memes ensued.

I blame Miyamoto.

No, that's right up Miyamoto's street actually. Surprising he hasn't done it.

MCCLOUD!

He's a gimmick guy not a lore guy.

Sexy cartoon women are a gateway to furry.

...

Dr Phil is a real doctor…in as much as he has a doctorate

...

...

So we can conclude that anime makes you gay.

...

Maybe

It really irks me that these digits are basically saying traps are maybe gay.

Well duh. There's no doubt about it - traps are gay. You just need to stop being a closet faggot and accept what you are.

Of course traps are gay, that's why his digits disturb me so much.

I HATE YOU

I feel like it's worth sharing that I went through something like this with cuck porn and the end result is making me seriously look at my life.
I had sex with a black guy a couple weeks back. This whole thing started because I got into netorare after my girlfriend left me. I only got into that because it hurt me emotionally to look at and I normally don't feel much of anything.

(you)
And then nobody clapped.

...

My ass got slapped after which is kind of close to clapping. I certainly wasn't clapping. I'm still not sure how I feel about it.

No retard, I'm saying I don't believe you. You obviously want (you)s and attention so here, take them.

Fuck off, Japan.

I don't see what's so unbelievable about fucking up my sexuality by frequently masturbating to more and more depraved porn over a period of a few years.

If you keep on jerking off to it after the bait and switch and search for more it, yeah you are delusional fuck.

What are you, gay?

What if I pretend she has a vagina? It's not like you ever see the dick anyway.

looks more like the Unica to me

...

I like those quads.

Kinda hard to do double and hitler dubs if you don't look at the porn. Unless exclusively just search for r63 porn of the trap otherwise it's gay and even then r63 porn of traps is rare in the first place. Doesn't help now there's trap porn of female characters as well.

It is a very fun watch. Just one that'll have you complaining about missed opportunities and lame plot twists after the fact.

Look at how well Breath of the Wild sold when they did nothing with it.

Basically the entire video game industry should really learn one thing: stop fucking with the people who actually know how to make games

I have never seen such unambigious anger and disgust from a single face. You could post this picture without a caption of any sort and the intent of showing absolute negativity would be absolutely clear.

Look at this, eyes squinted, brows furrowed, mouth slightly hanging open as if to show teeth, as if the words behind his expression are fighting to leave his mouth, even his nostrils are flared and the angle is down looking, one of the worst angles for a look, it means this man has been slighted personally and his emotion is deeply entrenched into his soul.

And outside of this picture his hands are tightly clasped with thumbs touching at the tips, a thinking expression that he's trying to hide slightly, in the moment with that look and that hand arrangement he's thinking very quickly at beyond human pace, at a zen level of tens per second, of painful ways to dispatch of the one who has made him feel this way.

His mind is racing with raging instinct and at the same moment it is pure and clear of anything else.

There is only one emotion that he feels at this moment. Only one. I can't even go into a "dark side" joke here, it's too intense to joke about. This is intense rage, beyond rage, beyond hatred. It's primal.

Sound like exploitable material for a disgust or anger infographic like this one.

What do you mean? That game was a complete subversion of everything Zelda has been since at least OOT.

Fuck off.

please stop

How do you feel about this sks with a detachable magazine?

It actually looks kinda nice.

buba no!

They basically turned Luke into a shitty version of Kreia. Kreia was a villain with a flawed past based on lies, with layers on layers of plans involving your character.

The first to stop her former Sith students, then kill the force itself to stop the endless warring created by it and then, should that fail, to create someone who would better the Jedi Order as it is to create a better future where the Jedi aren't disconnected from regular people and take an active role in saving people from those who misuse the Force to their own ends. A hero of guile, but one who ends up being the villain who opposes you in the end. A complex character with great execution, the whole work she debuted in was essentially to pull off her character.

Last Jedi Luke as a character is a disillusioned hack who quit because he turned his nephew to the dark side because he got scared of him and tried to kill him in his sleep but got cold feet and the kid found out and turned. He then says "fuck it" and abandons the Jedi order he created, like a coward.

He's presented as a pacifist, but most of his lessons he teaches Rey is that the Force belongs to everyone and the Jedi are dumb and flawed and shouldn't be a thing, despite the fact that the Sith are still out there and without organization people get their shit stomped by the inevitable regime that comes in.

The whole plot of the movie is basically some symbolic changing of the guard, with an emphasis on fading the concept of Jedi out as a thing, which will inevitably be replaced by whatever the propagandists want to push.

They'll say shit softly like "the jedi were too old and stubborn and were basically racist because we say so" as usual.

Star Wars is a zombie, if it wasn't already apparent. Dead on arrival but still walking. This is what they do to everything they get their hands on, they have to subvert and oppose and contradict in order to demoralize, it doesn't matter what it is.

If shoes were popular they'd make shoes "diverse" because there aren't enough shoes that fit black people or whatever bullshit they come up with.

They make it about anything controversial because it's what they do. They want a national riot, they want death and they want control that springs from it.

Starfox is a furfag universe. No thank you.
Metroid doesn't have significant lore, keeping in mind that Metroid ends at Super Metroid.

Zelda is babies first RPG. It's a great game lineup for 8-12 year old children. I don't think they need to branch out into sci-fi. Science is an endeavor for adults. Science fiction is a genre best suited for adults to consider and explore the implications of science and the future of the human species. It is not for children and adults with child-like brains who play Zelda.

Why are you double spacing every few sentences when a group of them are related and adding an unneeded space after every period?

get some taste, that looks awful.

That isn't a bubbajob, just crapco. A bubbajob would be trying to turn it into an AK or some other shit with hard to time consuming fixs everywhere. Chinks and Yugos made SKS's that took AK mags from the factory.
Picture related, sks converted in a Yugo/Chink style.

I just think it looks better

Stop that. I don't want to have to keep posting this

What was it about the seventh console generation that caused everyone to LOSE THEIR FUCKING MINDS?!?

Old age?

Holla Forums will wake up out this Libbie and Kikki shit, stopping to lean into furshit.
i hope

maybe you should update your status on your anime blog to show that youre feeling passive aggressive towards reddit

how much does nintendo pay you

The appearance of James at a moment where all seemed lost wasn't really an introduction of new elements into the universe you moron. It was just a dramatic narrative sequence that was never explained.

It could've been James' ghost, but it could also have been Fox hallucinating, or merely that James was still alive. All three are entirely plausible within the context of the story, not like Krystal's "I can talk to animals with my mind" bullshit.

Also, Star Wars can suck my dick. Stupid ass franchise that should've stayed in the 70s and has now been bad for longer than it's been good at this point. It's only for gen X dads who can't accept the fact that they're old now. Let it die.

wrong, mario still has the deepest lore, and has enough sci-fi content to be called sci-fi
reminder that even rabbids and the elder scrolls are officially part of the extended mario universe

The fact that the Wii sold like crack despite having nothing but shovelware.

That was enough to make most game devs mindbreak.

She is Deanna Troi. She offers tits and exposition and nothing else

Hey. The moments where she completely shut down Panther's advances were entertaining. Makes Command even more retarded for having her run off to the guy.

feels nice seeing my shitty "translation" from 10 years ago still making its rounds

Even among retarded "lol shill" trolls you're retarded

I was trying to think of the third one other than Star Fox and F-Zero. lel

Might want to pick another obscure property to revive.
Devil World was basically Miyamoto's weird attempt at making a Pac-Man clone. It wasn't even released in NA for the NES or even the VC because of it's religious content. Though it did get a Euro NES (and VC) release. It even been on sale with the other "spooky" games at Halloween so it's not completely forgotten by NoE.

The entire Dinosaur Planet/Sauria also has said fantasy magic (or magitek?). It has a fucking triceratops that can learn to breath fire and a bunch of Krozoa spirits somehow holding the planet together. While the tech level of the dinosaur residents is confusing, we see tribal stuff, but yet a shuttle craft is used by the Sharptooth (and Krystal at the end of game to get to the Great Fox)

While Krystal herself is even more of a clusterfuck because of her vague past.
>Comes from the destroyed planet Cerinia, that is only mentioned in the SFA instruction manual, not in any games themselves.
>Where does her staff come from? Cerinia? Sauria? If not the latter why is it compatible with Sauria hidden staff power upgrade stations? (Or do we just accept that as video game weapon upgrade logic?)
