Bir Tawil and Other Land Disputes

Long story short I've been looking at unclaimed and disputed land across the globe so I can start a micronation there. I found specifically three places Bir Tawil, some places on the border of Croatia and Serbia around the Danbue river, and Marie Birdland, Antarctica. Before you ask I do have plans on how to specifically get a hold of one of these lands though it would take a while to put into action. The reason I decided post about this is just in case there are any other land disputes, legal loopholes, and other things that could help me start and maintain an independent nation that I missed while researching and it's going to be socialist.

afaik the croatians and/or serbs stop people from crossing the river to that island.

setting up a place in bir tawil would be awesome but i guess if more people than just you live there the US will come and destroy it because we can't just have freedom like as if we were human beings.

Some guy already went there and "claimed" it a few years ago with himself as king, but both Egypt and Sudan agreed that the land belongs to one of them and have tightened security around the place. Also it's literally just a desert wasteland anyways.

A guy already tried this, look up Liberland. Long story short, he got arrested and they no longer let anyone into those areas. Also they're just a few miles wide anyways.

The Antarctic Treaty prevents anyone from claiming Antarctic land except for the USA and Russia. Some countries have done so anyways, but have not actually settled the land because of this treaty. The reason being that the USA or Russia could actually claim the land and kick them out. As of right now, Antarctica is only allowed to be used for scientific purposes and has been deemed to belong to all of mankind. Also it's just ice anyways.

Not for long…

source?
the whole point of those lands is that no country claims them.

it was in some cgp ghey video

i mean some video said nobody claims bir tawil iirc

I thought the point was both countries claim them and mutually agree to just leave it vacant to avoid conflict. Plus if both countries control all the land around it a nation there is hardly practical.

There's a reason why nobody wants Bir Tawil, it's a barren ass desert with no known natural resources. We should just send the tripfags to colonize it.

Nvm I just googled it, you are right apparently. But I would imagine one of them would stop you from taking the land anyway.

i think owning a piece of land incurs costs because you need to like provide medical assistance to people who got lost in the desert and shit like that.
i doubt anyone except the US would care.
eastern egypt is owned by that pro-russian dude anyway, isn't it? i don't think they will try to stop you from colonizing a useless piece of shit land.

nvm, that was libya

monster waves are real.

Is that so?

These were done before the Antarctic treaty and the treaty specifically said that they would stand but cannot be altered.

You seriously have to wonder why half the world desperately fought over Antarctica and then out of nowhere some treaty came along and everyone stopped caring about it. I'm generally no tin-foil head, but what's so valuable about Antarctica and why are there multiple (secret) scientific (and military) bases there?

They didn't really fight and there was no desperation. Ultimately there is no good reason NOT to claim land if you have half a justification for it.
