Roosevelt.

FDR, I know he was a succdem who had to kill socialism but at least he did it through reform instead of COINTELPRO and murder.

...

FDR, but fuck the social democrat thing and the Japanese internment camps.

Oh and I admire his balls over the court packing thing and how much right wing butt frustration he caused.

Wilson because he destroyed the revisonist IWW

Kennedy, because he got shot.

The only good presidents are Lincoln, Grant and Nixon. If you're going to vote, vote republican

Fuck FDR

Carter tbh only because he's probably the only one on that list that isn't a unilateral psychopath.

cuck

FDR>Carter>Kennedy>>Johnson>Clinton>Obama>Clinton>Wilson

Kennedy, then it goes Carter > Wilson > FDR > Obama and the rest were total shit beyond any kind for redemption (Zizek gave me a new kind of "ironic" appreciation for Obama).

The dead ones.

Kennedy would have done far worse than Johnson if he had lived to serve 8 years. Johnson is severely underrated.

Vietnam though

Carter was a union buster who paved the way for the decline of American unions. He supplied weapons and money to Indonesia during the East Timor genocide. He's also the one who got the ball rolling with US support of the Moujahedeen. Carter can suck a dick.

I'm clearly grading on a very low curve here

LBJ only carried on the policy of JFK and Eisenhower. JFK was a massive hawk and would probably have gotten even deeper in than LBJ did.

Pass links/videos

I don't fundamentally disagree, but in practice JFK had made so little progress with Vietnam that passing the buck onto him for what he was going to do anyway just seems like a way to take the heat off of LBJ for something he absolutely still had control over.

I think you have to judge them based on the difficulty of the situations they faced, not just on what happened during their time. JFK had it easy and was very lucky that his blunders, particularly regarding Cuba, didn't blow up in his face. LBJ, on the other hand, had a nightmarish situation in Vietnam that few people had any idea how to deal with. Also LBJ actually got things done, whereas JFK's achievements, such as they are, were pretty much all reactive.

Wilson

FDR. Too bad Truman replaced based Henry Wallace.

Truman. It's too bad everyone forgot what a meme-tier president he was. Like a Democratic Trump.

Jimmy Carter was is the only one of this list close to installing communism into the backwards American system.
Him or Wilson no question!

...

By US president standards only funding one genocide makes you a pretty good person.

Einsenhower.

Are you a trot?

Woodrow Wilson, as one of the few intellectual presidents.

Roosevelt killed communism in the states. If I could go back in time and kill one person it would be FDR.

FDR>Carter>LBJ=Kennedy>Truman>Obama>Clinton>Wilson

Wilson might be the worst president of all time. Every president was bad, FDR is just the king of the shit heap.

He "preserved capitalism" as the people like to say and he himself said. I think he is a case where his conscious intentions mattered less than the results. Something that is easy to admit in hindsight, admittedly, but may have felt terrible for labor movements at the time. I think you have to gauge his treatment and his era of government to laborers against what came before and after. Before was awful and the early fifties onto the sixties was the worst time to be a leftist in America. His second bill of rights would have been a much better future for this country than anything else proposed in a serious political context since.

I don't give a shadow of a fuck about FDR's intentions. If I'm going back in time to kill somebody, I'm picking based on the historical impact it will have. Countless people with the best intentions and purest hearts blah blah blah died miserably throughout history. Weighing one man's personal feelings against his legacy, which has affected billions of lives, may be the most viscerally disgusting thing I'll ever read in my life.

You read what I said wrong I think his intentions were ultimately bad, but the outcome was good anyway or at least the best possible one we had at the time. The era of Debs was over and the chance of a serious socialist candidate was receding in electoral politics it was going to be Humphrey who was the Hillary of his era or a business Manchurian flavor of the week candidate from the republicans.

I voted for Nixon, because I honestly thought communism would take over the word.

If it wasn't for FDR there would have been a commie tsunami in the states, and we'd be living in FALC by now.

the only right answer is jimmy carter

also fdr for new deal

I agree with this list but take off JFK entirely

Yea nah

Oh, the shit that could have been, user.
