Self-Driving Trucks Could Make Donald Trump a One-Term President

Several states are already laying the groundwork for a future with fewer truckers. In September, the Michigan state Senate approved a law allowing trucks to drive autonomously in “platoons,” where two or more big rigs drive together and synchronize their movements. That bill follows laws passed in California, Florida and Utah that set regulations for testing truck platoons.

Why ‘Socialist’ Arguments Against Free Movement Don’t Add Up

Marriage is Linked to Conservative Institutions and Tradition, According to New Study

Trump and America stand down and let China bulid the base anyway. What a "strong" leader.

Why is it always about the bathrooms? Is there some kinda idpol conspiracy going on where everyone cares where you take a piss that I'm not aware of?

Can any yanks confirm if this is a noticeable change that will actually have an effect or just liberals and the like wanting more taxes?

You know it's dumb when even Trump basically said "who fucking cares about bathrooms man".

There are legal things to do with people who die without a will with gay couples and some tax stuff as well. I don;t like the institution of marriage either but it's more than just a formality

Not everyone can afford to pee on hotel beds.

I agree. Still, I prefer the old, radical gays to the new, comfortable gays.

How the hell can we tell right now it's been like 2 months? All I can say is the DSA in particular is refocusing on local politics and assisting unionizing efforts instead of worrying too much about national politics and working with left Democrats like they have in the past, so take that as you will.

Can't we do another day without immigrants? That was a real shock to the old USofA.

Not all of us want to get married. The thing is it's as much a political statement as it is a personal one of love, it's the admission that we are part of society and are equal and so some gays want to use this to either piss off conservatives or to 'stand up for gays' by using it. Like I said though, there are logical reasons to get married .
I was happy when we got gay marriage here in 2014,I'm not going to use it but it's nice to know most people don't want us dead

Gay marriage is utterly illogical though. Marriage is not a political statement it's a set of rules providing legal and moral expectations on two people so they can provide for a family.

The whole point of the assets joining legally is for this reason, two gay men joining assets without the need for a family is absolutley ridiculous and gay marriage itself is the pointless political statement.

If you want better next of kin laws then marriage should not be in the equation simply for that.

1. either marriage is a church thing for LARPers and does not grant financial or other benefits
2. or everyone can marry anyone and anything.
this, and this only is true. any other opinion is not just retarded or trolling, it is actual deliberate shitposting.

It's a political statement because it deify the strong anti gay conservative streak. People used to be put to death for being gay, it has always been a political movement. It sort of legitimises homosexuality to actual love an not the fun that many think it is
Thing is over time as it became more and more accepted it became less and less radical so the anti marriage sentiments of leftist in the 60s and 70s who fought for their lives sometimes so i can pound boipussy aren't the core of the movement, shame really I've met some of those hold hardcore guys and girls and they are the kind of left we need back.
It's dumb though yeah I agree, marriage is for the legal shit of having assets under one name and so assets can have a clear line of succession

Marriage has nothing to do with the church and has not historically, there are undiscovered tribes who have marriage ceremonies and legal ramifications.

A court cannot and should not have the power to determine what marriage is when it's been blatantly obvious to humans for so long, and any change of that should come through the legal channels, ie change the laws.

Both premises you stated are ridiculous on their face and represent nothing like the reality of marriage.

how bad is it going to be?

Why even bother with the Democratic party?

Holla Forums needs to read this.

since the listed source is the hill i was hoping it was some liberal exaggeration to further drumpf hate but ;_;
reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-lgbt-idUSKBN161243

what's the point, even? how would better bathroom environments for all students, including transgender students, affect anyone in a negative manner? it would only have pros. the only con for anyone would be that trans students would be safer and the right doesn't want this for obvious, sad reasons.

i don't know why the right is so opposed to humans being safer when the regulations which would be enforced to make these people safer wouldn't affect the right at all.

...

lel Holla Forums eternally cucked

Only if you tolerate the presence of illegal immigrants. This argument is based on the false premise that immigration is essentially uncontrollable and the only choice governments have is between giving immigrants legal status and forcing them underground. Bullshit. Also the article cherry-picks studies which deny the impact of immigration of wages. All I can say is: if immigration controls are good for porky, why does porky clearly dislike them?

Come on now.
There are more efficient ways to transfer property rights today, like contracts and wills.
Marriage is and outdated concept, and its permanence as a legal institution is damaging its worth as a religious one.
When atheist yuppies, single moms, gays and Business tycoons who have been divorced 3 times stop gettiing married, that's when marriage will start meaning anything again.
Anyone who believes "marriage is worth saving" the way it currently is just regurgitating political rhetoric without thinking for themselves.

This, though it is funny to watch the author of that piece square the circle by parroting neoliberal arguments and evidence from neoliberal institutions to support an ostensibly left-leaning argument

I'd like to see evidence of porky unilaterally enjoying free movement.

am i the only one here tired of hearing about that histrionic douche?
seriously, i don't think there has been a day for the last 6 months where i didn't hear "Trump"
i'm sick of it already.

-The relaxation of immigration controls has accompanied the rolling-back of socdem reforms in the last 40 years. It is part of neoliberalism, which is basically the re-imposition of unrestrained porky power after a brief period of social democracy
-The EU is a porky project which enshrines free movement as a value
-Porky freaked out about Trump and his anti-immigration rhetoric

>tfw illegal

while he is over saturating the news, guy kind of is the president and it's pretty important to stay informed on the stuff he does

I already know what neoliberalism is

That can easily just be coincidence. The decrease in racism has accompanied the rolling back of socdem reforms also, but that doesn't mean they're correlated.

Idk wtf you've been paying attention too, but the GOP still has the same moderate to far right policies it's had for a while on immigration. The most lenient being "comprehensive" "immigration" "reform", and the more conservative being "deport people for eating a taco". See: the 2016 GOP platform. Here's one passage:

They freak out, because Trump is a moron that makes their fascism too fucking obvious unlike a Pence or Paul Ryan sort of figure who could carry out those same (or very similar) policies with more finesse.

Damn, I just realized that's true.

But think on the bright side. People are much more politically conscious, and are moving left.

not sure what country you're from but in mine people are radicalizing on both side.
idpol everywhere…..
its depresssing

My grandfather remarried a woman after my grandmother died. Both individuals in the marriage were retirees, and they had no children.

Should they have been prevented from forming a marriage contract?

Kek. What sort of socialist thinks things like this just happen by coincidence?

They are indeed correlated. The decrease in racism is also caused by the steady advance of capitalism. Base -→ Superstructure.

And they made sure that the extreme anti-immigration side never got power, until they fucked up and Trump got the nomination. Then the great majority of donor money went to Hillary to try and keep Trump out.

And what about the EU?

just avoid big brother. ofc he is gonna deport people otherwise he has no chance of winning the re-election.

No, Trump's policy is substantively different. Guys like Ryan and Pence make the right noises but their agenda is to quietly facilitate the further relaxation of border controls. Trump has put border control at the forefront of his program, which is a nightmare for the GOP and their porky backers.

His show was never good.

-forcing unisex bathrooms everywhere
not feasible and damages smaller establishments

-forcing male and female bathrooms to take in all sexes
uncivilized and pointless, your own feelings do not trump societal norms
i find clothes restrictive and would gladly walk in sandals and a loincloth even in freezing weather, but i would be unable to move into most businesses properties without getting security called on me and I would likely be stopped by cops in any busy area because I might be insane

Shush, NEETsoc. You know nothing about the real world other than what your parents tell you.
Bih my feelings along with everyone else's DECIDE societal norms. Kill yourself liberal

retard.

what the fuck are you even talking about?
there is a clear difference between trolls like trump, and lunies like the european nazi parties who are currently on the rise.

1. pence and the other nazis are neoliberal capitalists
2. pence and the other nazis actually believe the nazi shit and global warming denial they are spreading
3. pence and the other nazis have no common goal with trump so i don't understand which policies exactly you think they would carry out with more finesse?
4. US has the infrastructure to put several million people into concentration camps overnight (wikipedia Project Endgame) but he only made a few hundred symbolic arrests
5. trump doesn't want the US to turn into a fascist shithole, unless i'm greatly misinterpreting his actions he just wants to shut up the nazis

You went on to repeat what I had already said so you might want to work on that reading comprehension, fuckwit.

both of this is not true imho so maybe you should work on your reading comprehension.
