The story is amazing. Did you actually finish it, like the real ending? After I got to the first ending I thought the game was just avarage and overrated as fuck, didn't play it for a week after that. Then I was bored and decided to keep going, turnd out to be one of the best games I've ever played.

The story is a nice introduction to philosophy and ideology without ham-fisting anything down your throat.

We still have enough effectiveness to cause heavy damage to companies. Memes generated have spread on twitter and been reposted on cuckchan by filthy crossposters and that eventually trickles down to even more normalfaggy sites like funnyjunk, reddit and whatnot, and that in turn causes those communities to create their own OC after getting interested (though obviously inferior in every way, it gets people talking about it).
Don't forget we were also responsible for the boston salt party and caused, at a minimum, several tens of thousands of dollars worth of lost revenue to bethesda by that alone. Possibly hundreds of thousands because of the nature of the internet.
That's not even including how we ruined it even for the people who did buy that shit. We also took the ever-loving piss out of wolfenstein and ME andromeda as well and those utterly flopped as well.
There's a reason all Far Cry 5 news went dark until very recently as well; don't forget we were the ones who uncovered that fake petition and started making some brutal OC against them as well.

Man, I'd make a shitpost to spite all the retards that called it game of the decade, but the truth is that automata should have been good. All Taro had to do was make Nier but better, and let Platinum made good combat. Instead he threw every strength he had to crank the NG+ gimmick up to eleven so he wouldn't miss his big chance. And also hamstring platinum completely so the irrelevant bullet hell gimmick is still there. This game completely lost sight of what made Drakengard and Nier good. Playing it was so boring and aggravating it made my soul sigh.
And now that hordes of imbeciles have praised it to hell and back for MUH TWISTS MUH FEELS, it's pretty much guaranteed the magic is gone forever.
The bantz, gone. The unique characters, gone. Now is time for the tale of generic characters with nigger butts setting up hundreds of epic endings, eternally retold.

I didn't hate it or anything, but it didn't really grab me, even after sinking 60 hours in.

Will probably give it a proper chance as I was kind of preoccupied when I played it. Music and atmosphere were gripping and I liked the premise, I just got bored playing it

I liked the story because I played the first game and knew what to expect from this, I also enjoyed the soundtrack. Tbh I liked the first game more overall but thought Automata was very solid and did pretty well. It's biggest flaw was the fact the attractive main character made it the next big meme game like le dark souls and attracted lots of fags to the series who had no idea what they wanted out of it and complained it didn't change to fit them.
