idk, pretty sure they're still using the same sprites for the original characters. probably just upping the resolution. I personally don't see anything wrong with them when I play default res with AA off.

You can switch off the anti-aliasing and filters, but the sprites are pretty low-res. You'd need to play in a pretty tiny window to fully appreciate them.

It's still a gorgeous game, the character art is really nice, the visual effects are great. It's just unfortunate that they stuck to sprites when they no longer service the game.

Looking at AH2 footage, I barely recognise the game. AH3 is intensely vertical, massive launchers are the norm and you're constantly zipping back and forth across the screen. Maybe I'm just watching some bad footage, I dunno.
I feel like they would've benefitted from switching to models. They probably just tried to save costs and recycle sprites.

KoA devs went bankrupt because of the shittons of money that got wasted on that endeavor. Someone had no fucking clue how profit works in the videogaming industry and either assumed they would sell like 20 million copies or dramatically overspent borrowed money and never bothered to calculate their profit margins.

KoA is a single player MMO, it is not very good.

KoA is an alright game, however, you've never quickly get this weird sensation that you're playing an MMO, without other players. It's a very lonely experience. You really feel like you're the last person on the server before total shutdown.

An absolute must is the Widescreen Fixer. the FOV in this game is vomit inducing. It's the only real complaint I have with the game. Combat feels a thousand times better with a proper FOV.

I've never actually got far enough in the game to try the DLC, no clue if it's any good. Have fun, user!

Siege is 24 bucks and one of the best multiplayer shooters currently active

It's pretty good honestly.
Basically its an rts where you work your way across a map taking enemy positions. You don't build any buildings instead you gain points over time you can spend on units. The further you make it through the map the more there is available.

You might think 'no basebuilding or resource management?' but the focus of the game is 100% on leading your units and using tactics which has a lot of depth. Each individual infantryman has their own inventory with weapons, different types of grenades, and ammo. They can be made to crouch or go prone, throw grenades manually, or render medical assistance to another soldier. Mortars, cannons, and tanks of all kinds are available as well with the same level of control.

Finally, although it feels a little cheesy, you can take manual control of any unit of the game at any time like the game is an overhead shooter. This is most useful in taking control of one of your tanks to shoot at a particular target or whatever.

Graphics are pretty good but won't blow your mind or anything. Sound is good. Destructibility of the environment is great and the map will look completely different by the end of mission.

Yes! Without the DLC's you won't be able to properly mod. The game+ DLCs are worth $45 IMO. (fuck off hipsters) but mods add much more value beyond that.
