I really like the girls and the concepts of the game but the fact the rounds end so fast and the juggles make me quit trying everytime.

If that's the biggest worry you have, you're gonna have a whale of a time figuring out what hold to use against what attack because, for some stupid reason, there's 4 holds, two of which are mid holds.
Then you've got a mission on your hand trying to figure out whether what hit you got smacked by was a high or a mid, baiting out holds when it's your time to strike, figuring out when you're supposed to strike, figuring out what attacks are unblockable, why this stage has a slope in it, what slopes mean for the moment to moment gameplay and why is there a comeback mechanic in DOA 5?

With time you'll figure this all out though. In the mean time, why not play Virtua Fighter? It's a much simpler fighter than others would have you believe.

Tips for a suffering Ownah-San!!
If you want a girl to accept your tickets first she must have some satisfaction, but note her satisfaction WILL tank when she accepts it. Second do it while not in her route, instead spamming it from the hotel room. This ensures it's not opened if she rejects it. When it comes back wrapped just send it back out. Third any present has a near 100% acceptance on the 13th night.
Putting this into practice the ideal situation for example is: To give Marie Rose a ticket or dlc costume play another (IE: Honker's) route and send Marie Rose the present everyday. This works better Honkers partners with Marie. Either she'll accept it sometime before the end of the vacation or she'll force accept on the 13th night
