How do I join? Open the console and type connect 45.77.102.189. Piratefags should have the console enabled already, legitfags might have to go Engine Room -> Keyboard -> Advanced and enable the console there.
Basic Controls: N = See needs M = See highest paying weapons I = See inventory (drag and drop to change clothes, click a weaoib and hit a number key to assign it) P = See Map T = Talk with username Y = Talk to team U = Talk with character name (useful sometimes if you want to stay sneaky) Left Click = interact, shoot etc. Right Click on something = open up a menu. For example right clicking on a table in a restaurant lets you select which meal to buy, right clicking on a shop assistant what item to purchase etc.
FAQ & New Player Guide Basic Gameplay: Hunt mode: Each person is assigned one target whose name and rough location they know. You won't know their appearance unless you talk to them and if they change clothes you'll lose that info (see pictures 3, 4 and 5 above). There's also a faggot hunting you. Gameplay is round based so you'll get a new target every round, if you die you come back as a passenger (a non-participating player) until the next round. Money is awarded for kills and removed for killing the wrong person or being arrested, most money at the end of a match wins. When someone dies they also drop a wallet with whatever cash they had on them (bank cash is safe from this) so be sure to pick that up. Team Elimination mode: Basically TDM VIP mode: VIP mode (faggot with a crown is VIP), team members respawn but VIPs obviously do not. Up to 4 teams. There are other modes but we'll likely not bother much with them.

>Why did I get arrested? If a guard or camera sees you pulling out a weapon you'll get fined and go to jail. You can actually bribe a guard to ignore you if you right click them (also you can pay for 'information' which is a real time update on the location of your target). If you trespass where a guard, camera or many witnesses can see you for too long this will happen too this isn't tumblr so being in the wrong bathroom counts as trespassing but you'll generally be ok to do it.

>How do I kill someone in jail? Throw away your weapons and punch a guard to get sent to jail. Then look for a shank, there's normally one around. Or just wait for them to get released, that's often easier.
>I don't want to play, how do I spectate? If you pick passenger instead of hunter you're a spectator. You've still got to move around the ship and fulfil your needs though.

FUCK YES I remember playing this around launch. Amazing game, but it never caught on because you don't get to instantly kill and 360 noscope kiddies.
I've been loathe to run arena-FPS for a while now because it's very latency-sensitive and also the skill curve means new players will tend to get stomped. Xonotic has an EU and US West server for latency (we'll likely provide a US East also) and the faggots will try and hold back a bit where necessary so that gives it the best chance of working. Since anons keep asking for one of the Quake games we'll use this as a litmus test, assuming it goes well we can start asking for opinions on which game to pick. So far I've heard Quake 2, Quake III Arena (obviously), Red Eclipse and Elite Force (Quake III but with Star Trek skin and guns). Opinions on those or other candidates required I fully expect anons to ignore this request and then complain about whichever game is picked anyway so if nobody responds I'm just going to assume everyone wants Quake 4.
They should have invested in a better single player too, that would have helped. Something more open-ended, perhaps Chronicles of Riddick/Kingpin: Life of Crime but onna ship. As it was it was linear, overly short and fuck that Ambassador mission.

So far we think we've isolated the issue to the DownloadList folder, specifically the dedicated server should create a lz_129_hindenburg.lst file with a ton of shit like in inside, instead it doesn't make one at all. A listen server, on the other hand, creates the proper file. If you try to put the correct file in the folder it will overwrite it with an empty file (or ignore it if you make it read only). In fact on the server all of the .lst files are empty when they should not be.
Worst case we'll just ask anons to download a file and extract it to the proper location, maybe ask a mod to edit that into the OP. We know for sure that works.

The dev cut the codec out of the files entirely, we tested with just sticking in the correct files from an old sourcemod and it seemed to work well enough. If that works though every client would have to install that manually. The files needed are are actually included in the optional but recommended file from the OP.

That's still possible user, in fact it's highly recommended. The time restraint starts as soon as one person gets a kill, default is 90s and we're actually running at 120-150s. You might be thinking of the alternate mod elimination where you keep getting new targets until one man is left but that's extremely boring for anons who are already knocked out (as are long round timers, imagine having to wait five minutes for a new target in a 30 minute map).

Ok so for anyone interested, the mega "downloads" the fastest and when it would normally deliver the file it doesn't actually do that, second fastest is appears to be teknik it seems to download like 5-10 mbs in a few seconds before fizzling out but it needs to be resumed immediately after, which is tedious, and last is vola which is by far the slowest but it is going consistently very very slow like 5 minutes an only 1/5 of the way completed slow. I am seriously going to smash something if the file concludes this "download" and says "lol just kidding it didnt download".
Unfortunately it is actually the router and restarting is not going to do a damn thing, its just a real piece of fucking shit.

Do note that the server is now empty, you should still try to connect at least once for testing purposes but it may sometimes be down for a few minutes (we're testing the VIP issue) so don't panic if you can't temporarily.
