Pacing for 1, you dont frontload a game and expect it to maintain draw, 2 it has less side content variety than any other zelda, except maybe the cdi games, and less dungeon variety than skyrim, 3 it did equipment even worse than skyrim, when you do anything worse than skyrim thats bad. 4 dlc in a single player game that is mostly side content, monotonous side content at that, is bad. The absence of a dodge roll make its combat a gutted joke of souls combat. You want to know what the game did right though? The climbing. to me the biggest problem was progression. There is not really any difference between the first dungeon and the 3rd in terms of abilities. It is the one Zelda I have yet to beat. I always just get bored after the second or third dungeon. Which by the way the dungeons were really easy and short.

Breath of the Wild is a game I really enjoyed and had a lot of fun with, but I'll fully admit it's a very bad Zelda game.

I don't remember the zelda games ever having any interesting side content. I agree on the shitty dungeons, but I can't say I ever like zelda dungeons. I mostly enjoyed just running around on the open world and surviving using stuff that I find. I enjoyed constantly switching weapons and adapting to my situation. I liked the cold/heat stuff until it became irrelevant. Cooking was a lot of fun to me. I always felt like no matter where I went I was rewarded with stuff for exploring. I don't think the game is GOTY, but I had fun for what it is. That being said I do think what I like about it is not what most people want from a zelda game.

I agree with that. I only ever did the dungeons incidentally when I was in the area of the beasts, but I found them rather boring. Luckily they didn't take up much of my playtime. Hyrule castle was pretty fun though. I enjoyed sneaking my way through.

Switch is not even a year old yet it has more games than the wiiu had at the same time in its life, and already has confirmed bayo trilogy, metroid prime 4 and smtv. The only downside to the switch I dont see as much experimental games like chibi robo, and going from the nvidea shield in chinkland news, switch is probably getting gamecube and wii games. the wiiu will be remembered the same way dreamcast is.

Well, 6 months ago he criticised the cosplay community and one woman in particular. Well now, 6 months later, her patreon monies are dropping so she invents a fake harassment campaign against her and claims this jeremy fellow has been attacking her ever since. There is zero evidence of this. Cue a gamergate like assault on him, as the legions of beta males white knight for this cosplayer.

Apparently this split the magic community in half. The name gamergate has been getting invoked by a lot of people on both sides, it's a MagicGate. Well yesterday Wizards of the Coast, the company that produces the game dealt out a lifetime ban to jeremy, deleted his online magic account and stole hundreds of dollars worth of cards without refunding him at all. It's really interesting if you want to check it out. Totally fucked. I don't play magic or have any interest in it, but a lot of what happened here mirrors gamergate.

You're given the option to replay earlier parts of the game with weapons and moves you didn't have before, but the leveling system ensures that on all diffculties old bosses will die almost immediately. Of the three characters you play, you spend the most time playing as 9S, the character with the weakest, most limited, and unfun moveset. These are just some problems.

I don't know how it happened but I found myself incredibly undereleveled for a lot of the game. All the enemies took forever to kill because I was dealing so little damage to them. 9S was so great because I could actually kill enemies in a reasonable amount of time and then the game was terrible again when it switches you back to A2.

Don't get me wrong, I fucking love Automata and it has the best action combat of any Taro game so far. But I love it despite the glaring flaws in its combat, not because of them.

If you do all the sidequests, you'll easily end up overleveled. You really need to do them all. While they're mostly boring mechanically, they have interesting storywise and some are important for forshadowing later events in the main story. There shouldn't have been leveling up at all though. It's glaringly obvious no balancing was done to it, and that even if there was, the balance could still easily be broken. I was especially upset by something I think they never even tested. During a certain story segment you lose mobility and you're being attacked. In 1HKO mode I'm not even sure if it's possible to complete, even with luck. I had to turn off 1HKO mode on my 1HKO run just for that part because it was pure bullshit.
