I was surprised that I took my underpowered work laptop back home for Thanksgiving and plowed through like 5 games (all Indie games, but still had zero problems and ran Savant Ascent just fine until completion). Had ePSXe running through WINE perfectly when the native version was giving me shit. Overall, pretty excited for when I move to dual boot for my main rig and get to play some Vulkanized shit in the future.

I was able to get PCSX/R on my distro, however it would not run despite like 2 hours of fiddling with settings. It just black screened when I would load up an ISO. At least doing it the way I did allowed me to play the games I wanted.

As far as I know the CPU performance is *fine*, my issue seems to be that Warframe just sucks when it comes to managing threads. I get 50% less performance in Linux compared to Windows.

It has DX9, DX10 and DX11 modes. All of them are bottlenecked by the d3d dll.

I ran a profiler through it last night. The Windows version has the same bottleneck afaik.

Linux Mint its just a somewhat outdated Ubuntu with the Cinammon DE, and proprietary drivers and vidya stuff related already installed. Still a good choice too for beginners.
