US lawmaker who called out Star Wars Battlefront 2 lays out plans for anti-loot box law

EA made this bed, now it'll drag studios who also implements P2W systems in form of lootboxes with them.

SMUG FACE!

So EA actually did something good for once?

ELIMINATE LOOT BOXES

EA has somehow fucked up so hard they've saved gaming from the latest jewish trend

...

Good

...

Next you'll clap (haha, burgers!) when they take away your guns

And you know this is all thanks to?

Reddit.

...

Whales aren't children, they are people with too much money and not enough common sense.

or someone higher up in ea actually wanted to end it all by going all out. Based ea.

There was a story posted recently about a 19 year old spending his cash on this shit because what else would he spend it on or some shit. Young adults are definitely part of the whale problem and I would wager a good percentage of them.

...

Good point, but I bet he is the exception rather than the majority.

yay based reddit

JUST

You fucking stupid goyim! How are we going to deliver you our amazing AAA experiences if we can't monetize them! G*d's chosen people and the goyim alike lose from this!

By fucking over the jew?

So that's gonna be the loophole if that gets passed.

They've gone too far.
They've crossed the line.
And now they'll pay.

Honestly first thought this video was faked. I suppose they just don't have high production values in Hawaii.

(You)

It'll be more or less like the sales restrictions on M-rated games. Parents who don't know any better will still buy the games for their kids, or kids will just straight up lie about their age on Steam to get the games.

...

There are two problems I primarily have with the government getting involved with this.
Issues #1
How will this effect in-game scenarios? And, by that, I mean how will this effect games that have "gambling practices" embedded into them that doesn't require actual money. Most infamous example of Pokémon with the Game Corner. How would this new law effect games with features such as this?
Issue #2
At 2:50 of the video, the lady makes the claim that "We cannot protect the children all of the time", but every single device these days (That I know of) have some form of parental control. So, why not go after the game industry to emphasize that the ESRB correctly label games so that those parental lock systems work like they should instead of being wash?

Have to raise taxes if you want better memes.

Pretty sure they said "purchasing" a chance. Which would imply an exchange of real world money and not in game funny money.

Seems like they'll just sacrifice bump stocks for the ban. Guns are here to stay, no matter how many school, concert, movie theater shootings happen. We'll just have this same conversation when the next "happening" comes around.

Good. The faster this corporate worship we call "gaming" collapses, the better.

It hopefully won't. See:

EA brought balance to the force, its like pottery

I wait for this. AAA dies and gaming goes back to focusing on niches with more smaller budget titles. The days of one game to rule them all must end.

It's going to be very economically painful.

You guys do realize that this is literally going to kill gaming as we know it? Fuck you all

It only kills casino games

…alright.

Invested a lot in some shitty mobile games, huh?

You do realize there are people here who've been hoping for a second crash, don't you?
And anyway, it will only kill the most Jewish gambling tier practices. Pay to win isn't even going away, just pay for the chance to win.
