What are some good ports this gen?

What are some good ports this gen?

Pic related. I never played the original Revalatons on 3DS because i hate the 'snap to first person when shooting' style of Dead Aim it used, but hearing this was a total overhaul using the RE4 Wii Edition wagglans with the right joycon for aiming i picked it up for just over a tenner and 5 episodes into it i'm actually really enjoying it.

It feels like a ps3/360 era capcom console game through and through. Theres touches of RE4, Dead Rising and REmake as you explore a once top of the line cruise liner thats fallen on hard times and been infested by B.O.W's. From a promenade of shops to a casino its got lots of varied locations and the "T Abyss" Virus making more deep sea style monsters is a nice change of pace. It seems obvious since its set after it timewise but this feels like a solid sequel to RE4 on a smaller budget. It also works great in docked and handheld mode and Capcapom added a bunch of extras and minigames in there was well.

Its a shame it lacks co-op outside its mercenaries mode like Revelations 2, but from watching some of RER2 it fell far more into 5/6 design with monsters right out of the evil within and huge set piece action fights.
Conversely in this 3 times i've had to backtrack for a healing herb or twice because i completely ran dry on ammo and i'm getting an S for aiming on normal difficulty so they really balance it around fight or flight mattering again.

Overall i'm having far more fun than i expected and in terms of Switch horror games its easily the best option right now and a surprisingly good 3rd gen port of a port.

What ports have you been enjoying lately?

...

TODD PLS

fuck off toddler, I pirated it and it sucked

Yes OP I highly recommend you buy that game! My fellow gamer friends and I have it too and we are all having a blast playing it.

But tbh Dragons Dogma got put on ps4 for some reason.
Its already on pc though.

the only reason to buy a switch.

Pokken and Mario Kart 8 are solid

You ran out of ammo? That didn't happen to me even on the highest difficulty ( i didn't skip any possible scan location either)

But i played the 3ds version, maybe that one is more lenient with ammo pick ups.

xD

From what i understand the console ports just spawn in a lot more enemies at once, the first boss in the promenade had the middle swarming with those spear fuckers. Thank god i found the rifle after missing the shotgun at that point.

I can't tell if this thread is shilling or Reddit flooding in

I heard Revelations had a good Wii U port, what was that like?

Take that back!

The only reddit flooding in is you.

Did anyone on Holla Forums own a Wii U?

DEAD RISING 1 PC

it was a fucking pain to get the second episode of that cartoon.

I did

How disappointed were you at amiibo festival?

Honestly not very, because I got the wiiu strictly for bayo 2. Everything else was just a bonus.

I-I did. I got three years of entertainment out of it, so it was worth it.

Yeah.
Smash and Mario Kart were alright. mario 3d world is a bad meme

I have one, I have CFW on it so i can get as much games as I like to on there from every nintendo system except for the 3ds and switch. Xenoblade x and W101 were pretty damn fun.
I dont have the money to afford a bigger sd card/usb in order to fit more games but other than that I love my wiiu

There are two versions of Revelations the 3D's version, and the console version all the console versions are the same save for the switch version having some bonus mini games and some items.
I played the Wii U version and the PC version, they are exactly the same.

I did. It was actually totally worth it for Mario Maker and leaving semi-lewd scribbles on the walls of little Japanese girls. I must have put in at least 1k hours on that game.

I was gifted one, but I used it quite a bit.

You could change it to third person in the options. 3DS version is the best.

I'll buy you one.

I did and unironically believe it was the only console worth owning in its gen and that the world is full of pleb faggots for not buying it.

Of course you do, 'toddler.

...

...

Yeah
For as much as it's memed about, I thought it's line-up by the end of it's first year was solid enough. Not worth buying mind you, but it had more than one exclusive worth owning.
It was honestly the best console of the last gen, that's saying fuck all, but it should be noted because the Switch is such a fucking step down when you think about it.

are you ok, user?

t. Nintencuck
You probably said the same thing about N64 20 years ago too.

Yeah man reducing things to their base components is a great argument.

Too bad Revelations 2 is shit.

It amazes me that the Wiiu, a dead console that no one bought has more worth while games than any other console this gen.

I still play Splatoon and played Mario Maker for months. I also play DKC:TF sometimes with my dad for the remaining puzzle pieces, since that's all we're missing. I also go on BotW now and then, but only to kill time. I have little incentive to actually carry on with the game so I just go searching for towers and shrines and killing monsters with bombs. I was considering getting a Switch and PS4 sometime, but I'll probably wait for the next sales.

Anyway, I haven't played any ports from this generation, OP.

The Wiiu was the Dreamcast of this gen. By that I mean only people with taste bought it but since most people don't have taste it flopped.

Can you name some?

Bayonetta 2
SM3DW
W101
DKTD
Smash4
Splatoon

The Wiiu has more good exclusives than The Switch, The xbox one and the ps4 COMBINED

Exclusives dont mean much these days though, it's more about the overall library and what corresponds to your tastes.

My Vita and DSLite are still my main machines, the PS4 for other jap games I couldnt get on Vita. PC is mostly EDF, older PC games and the jap doujin scene, as pc ports of console japanese games hardly get jap language support

Keep telling yourself that

I don't have too. It has the most play time of all my modern consoles.

...

What is it with this place and analogies that involve consuming feces?

Are you calling Bayonetta 2 shit? Can you name a single console exclusive this gen that is better?

Your tears are delicious.

Counter-sage.

Tears? I am not upset. Bayonetta 2 was the best console game of this generation. Your pathetic console war buzzwords wont work here user.

And this is why Holla Forums is best chan.

gonna hijack the thread because I was wondering what are good consoley games on PC
gonna start by sharing with what I've known

if you haven't played this oldie gem its worth, has been remastered for x360 and ported,
despite the hate it gets, its pretty much standard tomb raider adventure, good port work pretty fine
another oldie classic, I for one haven't played the original and new action ones don't interest me
despite being somewhat a recent game, it plays pretty much like an oldie timer, and its hilariously charming
another remake from a deserving classic, was basically designed for PC but got a port to console I think

all of them design with and comfortably played with a controller, x360 of course

I didn't catch so much with the first one, but I have to say this was really pleasant to play, and it serves much better and easier with a gamepad
on my list, nothing special but doesn't seem to be a bad game either,
another classic with passed right through me, also seems like a decent port
despite being a telltale walking simulator, is was a enjoyable game, and pretty obviously consoley

All of which of course, I'm pirating, PC master race!!!
