It looks big and impressive. That's literally all they need to like a game, and Skyrim does that better than anything else. It happens to also be the only thing it does remotely well.

They've done some halfway decent work, but then you get stuff like Fire Emblem Awakening where they just take out the option to make your character a mute for no reason. All your ingame dialogue would be punctuation, and there would be no voice lines. It's not like it was a matter of saving on work because how much work could translating "…!" be?

I really liked the combat once I got used to it. At first it felt really loose and I just didn't feel in control. After a few Lionel fights though I finally got a feel for it and really liked it. The 2 alternate types of weapons though are just kind of useless if you have a standard sword.

To me my favorite part of zelda was dungeons so while I liked the idea of moving dungeons they were way to short and easy. I got bored after a while and I think it is the lack of progression. The only difference from coming out the first and last dungeon is a little better gear that acts the same way. It is not like you get a hookshot that changes how you fight some enemies.

I was thinking a bit more like skywards swords material upgrading for weapons and sub weapons, and maybe making some stuff available for playing side dungeons/quests while still making many weapons scattered around like in any souls game aside from bloodborne so yeah, but include spells and for how spells work, you put the element power into equipment slots to give them different elemental attributes and hell if they make durability fair, and that broken weapons give materials for upgrades it could get fairly immersive, if nintendo would actually bother. They could keep the formula from breath of the wild while melding it with the formula of the 3d zeldas prior.

That was probably my largest complaint, they need progression equipment to make you feel like you have had growth in the game.
