Bendis put no points into developing Miles as his own person but expected us to fall in love with him just because. Also we are never going to automatically love a legacy character, they have to earn that by being interesting. Whether you like him or not, Damian is a good legacy character because he's substantially different from other Robins and most of those differences are character flaws. Miles has no character flaws.
