Games that you know about, but don't know anything about

I've seen this game, know it's by the same team who developed Black, but haven't heard much else about it. Is it any good?

No.

Also Black was a fluke, it didn't overstay it's welcome, was pretty and fun.

not a good indication of general quality

i think they were trying to appeal to the same people that played BLACK

Dota 2

I slightly remember it, it's the worst kind of thing you'd expect from a console FPS : bland recoilless weapons, braindead AI, obnoxious UI with floating orbs everywhere when killing enemies.

Also the creative director of that game was a fucking retard obsessed with Lady Gaga for some reason and gave us this memorable quote :

In other words : it's shit.

Shin Megami Tensei
Monster Hunter
Persona

I get the feeling I should try them, but so far meh.

Just do everyone a favor and don't take MH world as an excuse to "get into the series".

Your likeness towards those games will mostly depend on your attitude towards grinding. However, there are many different flavors to it: archive.fo/yShTB

Im really hoping it isn't as bad as everyone thinks, because I can't bring myself to play anything on the DS that isn't Kirby.

I guess you can say he was Gaga.

I know it's full of autistic kids and men but nothing other than that

I played a lot of it about a decade ago. It's a browser MMO with a skill-based leveling system as opposed to a universal leveling system like your usual WoW clone. If you're familiar with the way Ultima Online handles its skills then you have a good grasp of how this game's skills work. I'd say the main draw is the way the game handles their quests, most of the beginner level quests are fetch quests but the more quests you do they start feeling more like they're out of an adventure game with puzzles and game lore. Unfortunately in order to play most quests you have to level up certain skills and the original game was notorious for it's korean style grindan, Of course most private servers will feature higher xp rates so that shouldn't be as bad as a problem as it was when this game was in it's heyday. The game also had a lot of PvP content with heavy risk and reward so there used to be a lot of PvP montages on youtube with people's kills in it. I think there used to be a thing with "pure" accounts where people would make alt accounts (that they probably pay for, by the way) that abused an exploit in the way that free PvP areas worked to get free kills off of lower leveled players. If you want to try the game yourself I'd recommend playing it on a private server called vidyascape because the game how it currently is is just a trashy WoW clone and the official servers for the game how it played before it got ruined were turned into a propaganda machine by some faggot.

Underage detected.

What about this game? I've had some interest in it, but have never seen it mentioned.

I played that, there are worse FPS on consoles than that are popular.

LoL and DOTA

It was apparently meant to be a spiritual successor to BLACK, while containing nothing of what made it great, such as:

Bodycount forgoes nearly all of that.

wew lad

Is that a fish rifle?

I still dont know what the point was.

Disgaea. I know its something like an isometric JRPG, but besides that I know nothing about the franchise or the games.

I guess this whole series, really. It gets mentioned fairly often but I never get around to looking into it any further.

I guess the gay is contagious.

I didn't know that there were quests. I always thought it was all about buying shovels, mining and scamming newbies. Thanks for the explaination

No I think it's some kind of (possibly fictional) variant of the G36C.

Pic related… I don't know shit about Dragon Age at all but a friend of mine doesn't shut up about it.

Is Dragon Age any good?

Only the first one.

No, there isn't a single DA game that's worth playing. The first one isn't outright bad, but there's nothing noteworthy about it either that other RPGs don't do better. Can safely avoid the entire franchise without missing a thing.

Appealing to ledditors whose understanding of space comes from fiction like The Force Awakens, who desperately want a game where they can explore that universe rather than face the fact that their forebearers denied them that fate with their selfishness.

There are actually 76 or something genders in the game for animals to be. Also the story is either about listening and believing, or being a man who goes their own way, with a sideplot about an innocent alien woman who dindu nuffin and got outside the matrix.

What did they mean by this Holla Forums?

You're right it's worse.
Horizon Zero Dawn Crossover, Pre-order DLC, and it's so easy even game journos can play!
There's no way it isn't going to be a horrible trainwreck that even dauntless, as bad as it is, will beat

Black was shit.

Funny because Blacks "gun porn" is all bullshit.

Kill yourself.

Does anyone know anything about ToeJam and Earl III?

You can't just say that something was shit without explaining yourself, If I were to say that about any weeb game I would have a dozen angry replies telling me to explain myself.

It was originally supposed to be a Dreamcast exclusive and was apparently rushed out the door after being moved to the Xbox. Sega wasn't interested in having a fourth game in the series and dropped the characters from their All Stars Racing game so the creator partnered with Adult Swim Games for TJ&E4.

Okay, was it any good?

It's good. It's basically a 3d version of the first game with some new stuff added in.

To me, TJ&E was one of their premiere franchises back in the Genesis days right up there with the likes of Sonic and Golden Axe. You'd figure Sega would put them in in All Stars Racing if only for the history.

Creatures is a game where you have a bunch of retarded monsters that you try to raise like pets in a jungle environment thing. Basically you try to shuttle retards on a retard bus, and keep them from killing themselves, or starving to death. I never got the hang of it.

That'd be a bit complicated because Sega doesn't own TJ&E.

Why the hell would they do that?
They have much more important characters to put into the game, like Wreck-It Ralph, Danica Patrick, TF2, and Yogscast.

In exchange for Disney using Sonic in their film.
Well, she did help develop both games.
Do wonder why they did that.
