Mechanically, the game is quite simple, but the animations are beautifully crafted and it offers some engaging gameplay. If that's not enough for you, then by all means play something else that you think is worth your time.

It might have run n' gun sections but it hardly follows the structure of Contra. There is a separation of level and boss pattern gameplay. It's also pretty easy once you have the invisible dash and charge shot.
