Probably not Berserk bad. That one was terrible because telling the story of Berserk in a musou game was an awful idea. But even then, they respected the source material and made gameplay around it. Being able to use Guts's huge arsenal of gadgets was awesome, and I hope they do something like that in another game.

But FE:Warriors looks to be awful. A ridiculous number of the characters use swords. And apparently, not different types of swords. over half of them have the same move set. They don't have Heavy Knight characters, or calvary specific characters, or any of the things that are quintessential to FE games. And on top of that, they've specifically said Ike and Roy will NOT be in the game or in any DLC, and that they will only be put in the NEXT FE:Warriors game.

Because it's moving back to interactive movies, like we had with games like Dragon's Lair, and all those fucking awful interactive movie games we had in the 90s on things like 3DO Interactive Multiplayer, CD-I, etc.

1) It's fundamentally different from quicksaving. With quicksaving you must still be capable of completing all the parts of a task in the game. With skipping, there is literally no more gameplay, and thus no more game.
2) If games are made with these things in the planning stages, then they will be spending extra dev time cobbling together whatever it is that explains what happened during skipped gameplay segments.
3) Since devs are now making games with the intention that people who literally aren't playing the game will be completing them, even more time will be spent making a shitty compelling story, and less on the gameplay elements.
4) Since there is now a way to complete the game without playing it, and the results of point 2 most certainly aren't going to be gameplay, that leaves a shitty movie or walking sim.
