Eh, i used to play a lend bloodborne. Its the easiest souls out there. The only good thing are locations and cloth physics, everything else is inferior to DS series. Less loot, less weapons, less build variety. Whole idea of the game was spinning around "every build counts" style of balance and engraving items that boost stats without visual impact.

It is very different because Nioh isn't like Soulsborne and if you play it like one you'll have a bad time. Nioh encourages aggression, dexterity and keeping momentum, the exact opposite of all Souls games except Bloodborne which encourages defense, reflexes and reactive play. Bloodborne is a limbo in-between these two approaches. The thing is that Nioh has godawlful broken builds that not even those optimal SL125 Demon's Souls builds can compare and you can guess what happens when they clash in PVP. It is a borefest that is usually decided in a latency diceroll. At least they are over quick compared to the slugfests of DS3.

I just hope it won't crash at the startup for me like most recent koei games.

Koei always supported 1920x1080. The problem is new games like Blue Reflection and Toukiden 2 crash at startup for me. Right after config screen. I don't know why, and it happens only with koei games.

Become a ninja or a mage if you want to turn the game into easy mode, a pure samurai who only uses melee skills is also possible and relies on you understanding the moveset of the weapons that you choose, along with the skills that you set for it. To fuck around I use a generalist build that is made to never die. I can use magic and ninjitsu along with the spirit Suzaku to revive perpetually and adapt to basically anything.

For each new DLC you get a bunch of skins of the main human characters (save for a few. tfw no Lady Yodo skin). Since you get all the DLC with the PC release, you'll also get all the skins.

You still have to purchase them ingame using an ingame currency called Glory, which can be gotten from beating the AI-controlled players who have died at certain spots. You get tons of Glory from co-op, though.

You get more male than female skins, sadly, and the skins that come with the DLC require tons of glory. Though after a while you'll be swimming in so much glory you won't even know what to do with it. I never played co-op, and through Clan Wars (which happens automatically) as well as beating on AI-controlled players for equipment I've gotten tons.

Might just be one of those cases where they throw in bullshit specs because they're too lazy to bother figuring out what the real minimum specs are.

You can go pretty crazy. The full game (ie all the DLC) includes weapons like Odachis and Tonfas. The base game has Katanas, Dual Swords, Kusarigama, Spears, Axes/Hammers.

There is a lot of inspiration from souls, like setting up enemies in ambush positions etc. But also straight up battles with multiple enemies at once. Nioh teaches you to be aggressive and there's a focus on managing your ki (stamina) by ki-pulsing, dodging or switching stances at the right time after attacking. It's all about aggression. You can be sneaky too, and that's fun. But when it's time to throw down, if you don't have a grasp on the combat as well as being prepared with items/buffs/debuffs, you'll have a bad time.

Completely slipped my mind. Yeah, Glory is very easy to obtain even offline. By the time you get to NG+'s higher difficulty, you'll be getting 200+ glory for each AI player you kill.

Its a good game. Basically is a game emulating the Dark Souls formula with a mix of Ninja Gaiden Black but changing it enough to be considered its own game. Some people argue that its better then Dark Souls and its debatable but also a respectable opinion because mechanically is sound.

The combat is excellent, the story is pretty garbage, the enemy design is great, the levels are good, but jesus christ
the loot system and autistic grinding really ruins the game.
The post-game content is just going through higher difficulty levels that barely add anything but more loot and add several layers of autistic grinding to the loot.

Buy it but don't expect longevity.

Bet it will be the only PS4 game I own by the end of the cycle.

seriously catering to PvP "COMMUNITY" is one of the main cancers killing gaming. Even the Overwatch developers allegedly started to beg their player base to less offended because moderating the game is cutting into their development budget. Dark Souls would have never become so cancerous if not for PvP. Honorfags literally killed that game. I personally like the invasion system but the whole "COMMUNITY" that sprung up around it was niggers and dogshit.

but it was DkS that started catering to the pvpfags. Havel's Ring was Nerfed. Even the difficulty of the games has been lowered significantly over time, but that is also true of Nioh. The Beta build of Nioh was too hard tbh.
