The kicker is that it wasn't even meant to be a hero shooter at first. They changed it into one barely over a year ago, and the game was first announced as more of a f2p Tribes or maybe UT knockoff than anything.

Lastly there is no progression. What are you fighting for and why? you dont know. What do you gain when you have all the skins? absolutely nothing. What new changes to the world and story occur? none.

Lawbreakers looked like it possibly had something good going there but I played the beta and the design is kinda stupid. Take for example healing, you can only heal at certain healing stations around the map, so if you want to heal the only way you can do so is if you walk to a healing station and just wait. That slows down the game considerably, and is just poor design.

I played GTA:V and can say for certain that it was an immense disappointment. The car physics in the game felt kinda lame but nowhere near the emphasis people put un it. On its own merits it is a decent game but as a GTA game it is fairly awful, since it removes a lot of the things that made the previous games fun and implements a significant amount of useless gimmicks like switching between characters which is rarely ever used in missions and usually leads to irritation because the character you need for a particular mission is on the other side of the continent. So no, in this case you are more than justified listening to people saying not to buy it. The online may be complete garbage but even that is still better than the singleplayer.

I don't think it's really the normalfag's braking point that caused this more than it's the guys in charge of keeping up the facade being really bad at their jobs.

Well I have never played GTA4 so I'll just have to take your word on it but yes, would definitely not recommend 5. They concentrated way more on the characters and story than they did on the gameplay, which would be fine if the characters and story weren't garbage. For example, in the game explosions are instant-death regardless of how far from the center you are: if you are within the radius then you have no chances of surviving anything that isn't a car blowing up. Gunplay wasn't that incredibly amazing, since everything simply dies from a single shot to the head and since you always have overpowered weapons on hand, especially if it is from DLC (for some reason had DLC just from getting the base game). The only thing I really liked was the fact that fall damage was tied to physics rather than how long you fell. Everything else was either average or too short-lived/gimmicky to get a pass.

Also headshots being insta-kill wouldn't be that bad if it weren't so incredibly easy. Enemies being a pushover doesn't make it that fun and gimping yourself by only shooting them in the legs doesn't really feel the same. Instead of a reticule that shows an area within which you have a chance of hitting something or at least making it difficult to aim at long distances, you have a single dot that you can headshot enemies easily and with 100% accuracy. Rampages are also very disappointing because they are very obviously scripted with next to no variation and even the bonus objectives that are there to give you a challenge are incredibly easy. Oh yeah and cops don't exist until you commit a crime.

Those videos are part of the few moments I'm proud of in my country.
