Basically in order to modify a model in X/Y/OR/AS/Su/Mo the modified model not only has to have the exact same number of polygons as the unmodified one but the triangles also have to mesh in the same exact way as the unmodified one.

That's a fair critique, and another point on the mountain of reasons to not to bother playing Skyrim. I've been a fa/tg/uy longer than I've been on Holla Forums and am used to being a DM which means I create stories for other people to enjoy; I think the appeal of doing this for me was being able to create a story and then getting to play it out for myself because of the structure of skyrimjob. Looking back at it, each encounter I got into would make me think– at least subconsciously, 'does she win or lose this fight.' and narrative power would win over game mechanics, because the game on its own (hell, or even with "advanced combat" mods) is NOT challenging to evoke a feeling of uncertainty without imposing even greater restrictions on a character than I did. In the end the enjoyment I got may have come from the writing and mental aspects of what was happening in the game, but without the game there to provide the foundation, mechanics, and certain locations/plot points the story I enjoy would never have been created.

This isn't me saying that Skyrim is worth paying for, you should never purchase Skyrim, or any Bethesda game for that matter. Games that rely so heavily on 3rd party modders or individual action to become fun are bad games. Torrent Morrowind and enjoy that without giving money to modern Bethesda.
