But I do also have generic weird dreams that are just your brain sorting out your thoughts from the day before. By RAW a character crafting a wand has to provide the material components 50 times over, and rafting a wand takes about a day.

This is all well and good, but the spell Identify presents, as a material component, a 100gp pearl that must be ground into a fine powder, mixed with a glass of wine and an owl's feather. The magical infusion must then be consumed before casting.

This means that a Wizard looking to make a wand of Identify must consume 50 glasses of wine to craft a wand of identify.

tldr

But it takes 5000gp to make one wand, since the pearls are an intrinsic part of the material component.

It's also worth note that, even with Eschew Materiel, you still need to grind that pearl and drink the wine to cast Identify, due to the cost of the pearl.

My Necromancer has another spell, False Life.
The caster must draw magical runes on themselves with alcohol, or fine spirits (because those aren't alcohol?), which confers temporary hitpoints.
The alcohol evaporates innocently enough, but take a moment to envision a grown adult, possibly in heavy armour, taking the time to draw these runes on themselves with whatever alcohol they have at hand.

Probably wine, or ale.
