The irritating part is that I recognize the narrator. It's David Shaw-Parker. Personally, I recognized him from Vermintide, but he's got a pretty long pedigree as a Shakespearan-trained actor. It's not like I'm knowledgeable about voice recording in the least, but if you asked me to make an uneducated guess, it seems like they had him do all of one recording per line with no particular coaching or contextual information in the script.

Everything just sort of carries the same slightly blandly cheery cadence (which should be his typecast forte, but something seems off about it, hence the bland remark) or goes oddly far from it, like the occasional dark line or the saccharine 'pew pew' shit that takes it further. Beside the narrator lines being incessant, it seems like David isn't putting in the fullest effort which hurts it further, though he doesn't seem the type to phone things in.

Your game is trash. Not fast enough, too cartoony, no new ground covered while hitting every mundane feature in every game these days. You could have had overgrowth meets devil may cry but instead you got borderlands: furshit edition.

This game looks pathetic, the developers seem completely out of touch with good games.

Watched about half of it and it seemed pretty mediocre. The controls are constantly taken away from the player. New enemies are introduced with a title card and a description, not only voiding any surprise, but most being reskins with a different fur colour to boot. The game gives you telekenisis then the next enemy is immune to it. The narrator is very annoying, and there doesnt seem to be any music.

It's a shame, there is lots of potential there. It looks like the game is trying to go in too many directions at once and is falling short on all of them. I don't like shitting on new IPs, but its hard to see who they're aiming for here. it's a bit weird how the best part of the game is clearly the environments.

If (and this is a big if) the game fails to garner a lasting following amongst both spergs and normalfags then it'll probably be FOTM with the furry community because both sperg furries and normalfag furries (the two main types of furshit cancer) will move on to something more engaging to them relatively soon. You'll still have the pornographers and furry element of the general fandom to deal with, but honestly those exist everywhere and tend to get bitch-slapped when they stick their heads up outside of their own circles so I wouldn't worry too much.

The best way to include mutations is with animal traits and\or using animals as base, since you're pretty much gonna graft extra animal limbs to you anyway, unless you prefer the generic blob mutants, which you'd get if they used people instead.

Anthropomorphic animals end up being far more distinct from each other than humans tend to be, it'd be way more generic that way.

Mutating an animal does not have the impact mutating a person does, both on an emotional level and on a visual level.

That would be a point if they were going for drama and heavy handed storytelling, but it seems they prefer a more cheesy cartoonish style, where animal mutations are far better since not only do they look more silly, their visual inpact is flashy instead of simply disgusting.

A lot of gameplay has been shown so far as well as some content. I'm seeing some videos including the ending of this one that shows vehicles like submarines, mechs and winged suits. Considering one menber of their dev team worked on Just Cause 2, I have good hopes for that.
Personnaly I'm more interested in the junkyard thematic, the piloting of mechs and crappy vehicles and most importantly, some actual decent flying mechanic that's not just shitty gliding.

As for the game, it looks neat, I'm interested in seeing more. Hopefully they overdid it on the narrator because it's a demo, and he doesn't talk that much during the game proper. I could see him getting very old, very fast. The hand mech was pretty cool, and the combat, while not great, looks heads and shoulders above most open world RPGs.

Combat in these games tends to be secondary, the world, movement and exploration are what takes the cake and I hope they do a good job with that.
