Not really helping your case there. And while it's fine to say that voice and clothing can be sexy (which they can be), you seem deadset on pushing the "EXAGGERATED CURVES ARE BADWRONG AND ONLY FOR IMMATURE LOOOOOSERS" mindset, when in older games there was no such philosophy for character design and exaggerated biology was accepted as a legitimate artstyle alongside "realistic" ones (never mind how there's such a sizeable push back nowadays that tries to force the whole "if breasts are bigger than C-cups and asses aren't flat, then it's unrealistic").

Now, it's true that many people will overrate a game due to sexy character designs, but that in itself is a reaction to the almost paranoid aversion to more idealized figures that the western game industry as a whole has developed, such that any design that isn't the cookie cutter "stronk wymyn" template naturally garners attention. And while I won't play a game with bad gameplay just because the characters look good, I certainly don't have to go in the complete opposite direction and shun games with "unrealistically sexy" character designs as if they act as a detraction from the quality of the game. I'll hold out for devs who appreciate both good gameplay and attractive characters, and play older games that have both if there are no modern alternatives.

It's true for the case of Haydee, considering the fan-service was pretty much the reason Haydee got noticed. They could have put a generic robot instead, and no one would've gone insane over it.
It's even more important considering we have bad hombres and SJWs shoving politics into games, like "characters too sexy are triggering", and pretty much being anti-fun (and anti-games) in general. It results in some character designs in some games being buttfuck ugly, like a Bioware production because of those politics.
And suddenly, here comes a game that honestly looks horribly bland like a Unity pre-pre-pre-pre alpha game, that calls itself some "hardcore metroidvania" and shows a BIG, ROUND ASS AND SOME GIANT TITS AND SOME HIGH-HEELS TO MAKE HER HIPS SWAY OMG LOOK AT THAT THICC ASS. Instantly, people rushed in, greenlighted, and bought the game because of the huge thirst caused by the politics. I remember some steam reviews (I considered buying it for under $3 until I pirated it instead) saying that her looks "pisses off the SJWs" in general. That's saying something when people literally bet on something that should've been considered unappealing in the first place, because literal ass politics.

As for the game being bad, I would say that the biggest problem this game has, and why some people do consider the game bad, is that it doesn't go much further than what it says on the cover. You have exploration, a bit of combat, some puzzles, a functioning level, no bugs, and all of it works pretty well on an autistically mathematical standpoint: fucking up can be a real bother, limited ammo and saves, some parkour (though it's pretty heavy, it's not like it's Quake, and the fall damage is ridiculous), every "room" composing the level has a "theme" to it (like the yellow room being full of poison gas, and the black room being completely in the dark). The biggest quality I can find is that the level is precisely (keep in mind I don't mean it looks good, but well thought) crafted, you can do it under an hour and/or without damage, even fall damage by following a shorter paths "hidden" in this big maze of a level, and when you start not to look, but to read the level so you can find the safest path when doing parkour, this is where the level shows its magic. It's not outstanding level design, but is far from being corridors and corridors of nothing. It does what it says… but it's pretty much all.

And this is where the game gets ugly: the game still looks unappealing, and after 15 min, you stop caring about the ass, so the game REALLY looks uninteresting and bland to look at. The animations are robotic PunSpic.exe, and there is no physics, save for the ragdolls, or explosions, or great effects. When it comes to gameplay shit, we also have problems: there's only two enemy types: one of them is next to useless because he's slow enough to die 10 times before reaching you, while the other, if he waits in a corner, requires twitch reflexes and the precision of a Navy Seals gorilla warfare expert to kiil before he gets you. This last enemy can go from "fair and balanced enemy" to "just pure bullshit" depending on the enemy placement. In short, said enemy placement is sadly a big stain on what is pretty much an interesting level design. Also, the camera is just here to show Haydee, because she takes a third, or a half, sometimes even all of the field of view with, surprise surprise, her ass (thankfully you can still see in front of you somehow), the controls feel heavy when doing parkour, Haydee isn't Lara Croft or Nathan Drake, but it sometimes gets ridiculous, especially when you take damage just by falling down two meters. The weapons are pretty much mixed, the Magnum is fun to use, but the SMG feels more like a pain with so little damage per bullet and quite a bit of recoil, when it's technically supposed to be the best weapon, they all also sound really weak, kind of a bummer. Speaking of sounding weak, the music is almost unnoticeable. It's not really a bad thing by itself, loud music wouldn't fit at all, but perhaps some people might find it bland too. Finally, there's also no replayability after finishing the game because there is only one single level (there could be if I heard there was another fan-made level, but everyone is focused on making outfits, so there's no point hoping), and save for some successes, there's not much point in increasing the difficulty or giving yourself a challenge after completing it first.
So there you have it, Haydee is a game that basically thought "I'm gonna do what I say, and just that!", and pretty much does what it says on the cover, but it clearly shows a lack of actual ambition into it. In the end, it feels like a technically functioning and interesting prototype of a game that has not even entered pre-alpha stage. I can resume it in three words: "It just works", because it's a game that has done nothing else than ticking boxes on a "how to make a survival RE4-like game" without showing some extra ambition, but at least what it shows is functional. I advise against paying for it full price, but maybe considering pirating it and giving yourself an opinion on the game. And again, remember: "It just works".

I've run into a couple, such as the Peace mod that makes the killbots no longer try to kill you and just stare at your chest and they don't obstruct you, so you can focus on the puzzles. There are also a couple of map mods if the base game isn't appealing.

i thought all haydees used the same model, if you replace the player haydee all other haydee corpses (and MASTER) get replaced. so how did he get several different models in there?

Assuming I'm not in the wrong and there is actually a ways to get all the files from the modders who upped their stuff for download, fuck Steam. Most likely killed the modding for the game. At the very least I can tweak the games files. The most I can really do though is change the damage values of enemies/weapons and the movement of the enemy bots. I can also "mimic" a first person view but that only changes the cameras placement. Which means a lot of clipping with the head. I'll say it again though. Fuck Steam.

I think there is a way to download mods from steam without having the client, but it's never worked for me. I think it's called steam downloader, steamloader, or something.
