Nothing shit about hand-drawn animation buddy.
But what IS shit is bland platforming sections with nothing going on, side-scrolling shooters where shooting isn't satisfying, boss fights that last long without enough phases to keep them interesting, and attacks with several seconds of wind-up. This isn't "old school 2D platforming". Play Contra 3 if you want good side-scrolling shooters. Cuphead is substituting good gameplay for good art.

Realistically, i will only play comfy games in my free time. I'm a good player so stuff like hollow knight is not really a challenge and still falls into the comfy category but at the same time once i face some real challenges like the arena's third phase i lose interest in the game.

Yeah, it sure did. The platforming stages looked slow and boring, the boss-fights looked longwinded and boring, and the other boss fights looked easy as all piss. And don't pretend gameplay looked different each time. Shit was barely any different to how it looked last time they showed it off, and they've been pushing it back for fucking yonks.
