Like, I hate smartphone games as much as the next guy but it does make some sense, assuming it's a full fledged game and not some shitty mobage.
Smartphone is always on you, higher quality touch-screen and various sensors allow for more immersion. Let's be honest, putting the game on the DS/3DS worked, but it was an odd decision. I bet this way there'll be more people buying it.
