That is what the melee combat has looked like since the very first game. Also the credits from the embed make it pretty clear, if it wasn't obvious already, that the main focus was "muh stronk womyn". The previous games didn't have that type of shitty drawings (bonus points for Tumblr nose) in the credits or awful hipster music playing, just text and some orchestral music. It was fairly neat that they switched back to normal in the credits after a while but it's still fairly cringe-worthy.

I've worked as an artist for a small game company (sorry, no details except that it was a crappy facebook/mobile game company) and that involved crunch during deadline periods. Maybe because I'm single, but while it cut into my free time it wasn't too bad. And as a team, we wanted to get the product out as best we could, even if that meant going overtime. We weren't ever told we had to, specifically, we did it because our team members were counting on us. Although, that company was dissolved because of poor management. Now I work for another small game company. So, I dunno. The work is hard, the pay isn't good enough, and in the vast majority of classrooms, you're not given enough freedom - you have to use the standard curriculum and play things by the book, even if you think there's a better way to teach. When a kid fails, it's not his fault, or the system's fault for not giving him what he needs to succeed, or the previous teacher's fault who passed him just so he could play on the football team. It's your fault, and it's bullshit. Now, apply this argument to video games. Sure, you're not making things better for the next generation, but you're taking part in a hobby you enjoy. The conditions are shit, and the job is stressful, but most of your peers who got jobs at google, amazon, etc, seem just as stressed as you (though they're taking in fatter paychecks). "Dream" jobs are almost universally shitty. That's why people quit them. The average Google employee keeps his job for just over a year. The only places with shorter average tenure are Amazon, AFLAC, and Massachusetts Mutual - likely because Amazon is google-like but with lamer offices and actuarial work is fucking mind-numbing. Google has restaurants, bars, nap spaces, etc. on their campuses. This sounds amazing, but it's designed to make you feel at home, because that office WILL become your home. You'll be putting in hours way too long for pay that honestly isn't that great, because if you're smart enough to work there, you could land a sweeter gig somewhere else.
