Is there anyone on Holla Forums above the age of 16? How could any adult believe the things they believe and say the retarded things they say?

its a lot of teens and neet 20 somethings

kinda like /leftypol tbh

Well they hold some merit when it comes to Autism Level question…

A few things:

1. People of a certain age did not grow up with the internet and do not have a natural bullshit detector.

2. "Smartest guy in the room" syndrome - NEETs who are smarter than all their idiot friends and not intellectually stimulated.

3. Just regular adults. People shit on 16-year-olds all the time, but nobody's ever just automatically gained the ~powers~ of critical thought when they turned 18 (or 21 in some areas!).

It's not an issue of age as much as an issue about autism and insecurity complexes.

My mom and dad know this guy name Erik, I don't know if hes Holla Forums but he basically has all the same beliefs even openly talks about anti-irrelevant shiting on facebook and shit. He is in his late 40's.

Holla Forums and Holla Forums are different by belief; nothing else.

Anyone can believe anything, but most people can't realize the consequences and aspects of their beliefs and actions until it is too late. They do believe that Not Socialism will lead to a successful society, in the same way some believe that Feudal and Monarchical societies were successful, they read, heard or watched something about the societies under them, compared the modern state of things to these societies, and knew that it was better than the current way of things. Of course it'll be better, the system was less developed at that point in time, the suffering was not as prevalent, but it was there. Had Nazism and Fascism survived, had Monarchy and Feudalism survived, we would have surely seen them becoming as bad if not worse than the modern state.

Nonsense, Holla Forums is actually white.

dont think so, I unironically browsed Holla Forums when I was 16 and I never did so again afterwards

I feel like we have some worthwhile discussion because we actually read theory, but the right barely had credible theory so I guess that's unfair

One of my friends (let's call him Bob) is 21 year-old and is on Holla Forums He is mainly influenced by a historian friend of his who is an ultra-rightist (or so he says).

Bob likes feudalism, fascism and Putin. He loves authoritarianism and dictatorships, he likes the tradition things and can explain why he thinks medieval times weren't that bad. He even rejects the conclusions of the second wave of feminism.

He is a critical thinker and well-versed in history. I accept this as a rationalization of his preferences and I'm bored to death arguing with him about politics since we cannot agree on anything.

Well in medieval times men could own their own land and protect it with the best weapons of the time. They also worked less than someone who works a normal 40 hour week in today's times and they had many more feast days where you just drink ale and eat chicken this is the lowest class of person the peasant further up people had better lifestyles than this.

The enclosures were violent for a reason.

never heard of this before but it's basically describes my teenage years

Also 2.1: "IT God complex"
There's this tendency with people in CS and other engineering fields that they think they are extremely smart, because they figure out and learn about all these complex systems in school. It leads them to think and fall into a world view in which they see everything through this lens, they believe political systems are a joke compared to the problems they solve in their work/education and the same rational approach applies here as well and only if all those stupid philosophy and sociology students would work with reason instead of emotion (those two things are opposed to each other in their world view), the world's problems would be solved by now. It's basically a nurtured form of Dunning-Kruger. Obviously the view I just described is in fact that of a complete imbecile, of someone who has instilled a sense of competence and superiority in themselves, completely unable to see that the real World in which we live, political systems, philosophy and sociology, are in fact infinitely more complex than the problems they learn about in school. They apply the only frame of reference they have been taught to the outside world, which leads to a blatant miscategorization of theirs and to this generation of empathically stumped, uneducated idiots who are unable of reflecting, critical thought. The biggest irony of it all is that they compensate their lack of knowledge and rationality with emotional responses, completely going against the self-imagined world view they construed.

2. Tend to become lolberts rather than fascists because they actually try to justify their crypto-fascism existing without a scapegoat.
