I decided to stop by this thread after what happened in Charlottesville. I was part of GG almost from the very start back in August 2014, but I fell away from it as it lost relevance in the mainstream. Now here we are three years later and I'm seeing people on Twitter blame GG for a woman getting run over by a car, and a fucking helicopter crash, of all things. This kind of lunacy demanded some serious introspection from me as to just how the fuck we got here, and as a result I had an epiphany.

Right now Holla Forums and the umbrella of movements that get classified by the media as alt-right (whether that's the proper term for them or not) are under a lot of fire because of what James Fields did. However, Holla Forums used to be a place of free speech and some surprisingly high-level discussion on all sides. Now it's fragmented into regular Holla Forums, Holla Forums, and about 100 mostly dead boards with 100 users or less. The big two boards are authoritarian as fuck, but they weren't always like that. There's a direct correlation between their popularity and how authoritarian they become. You can see the same thing on 4/pol/, especially during the election, and in real-life political groups as well. But there's another important correlation. The more members these communities gain, the further removed they become from their original topic and the standard of discussion they had before. Holla Forums used to have book threads, self-improvement threads and even Space Elevator threads (remember those?), but now it's a smorgasbord of e-celeb faggotry. Holla Forums is much the same, in that its posters' average level of knowledge of socialist theory has declined the more the board has grown. But more than that, back when Holla Forums was one board, you used to be able to have a high-level discussion across different belief systems as well as within them. Now it's just shit-flinging retardation all around on every side, and the most important factor that correlates with every single bad thing about it is the increase of normalfags in these communities.

You know that picture that always gets passed around here about the degradation of a hobby? The one that gets used to explain how the video game community got taken over by normalfag retards? Reading the last couple of threads, I realize that the same thing applies to political groups, and any other sort of community you could ever imagine. It's not just videogames that are having this problem. Normalfags truly do ruin everything.

It's not for everyone, that's for sure.

The first season of Twin Peaks delves into a supernatural crime investigation with an eccentric and memorable cast of characters. It was novel for its time, with some creepy visuals, implications of sex, rape and violence, etc.

The second season is much slower with a focus more on the cast of characters rather than the investigation (since David Lynch was forced to reveal the murderer by the network, they couldn't really continue to build up suspense so most of the episodes are somewhat unfocused), but then it starts to pick up later on when they introduce a new "villain".

The more recent season 3 went full on into supernatural shenanigans, continuing from the end of season 2. Season 3 takes place exactly 25 years later (it was 25 years ago that season 2 ended as well). It's not the same as Seasons 1 and 2. You're watching more to see what is happening and what would happen to the characters you know from the first two seasons, rather than it focusing on specific goals (the murder in season 1, the villain in season 2). If you go in without watching those two seasons, you'll be lost.

There are lots of moments with confusing visuals or images of static and other things (there's an entire episode dedicated to this, with like 3/4 of it just being static, weird visuals and noise). There's a lot of disconnect between scenes as well, where they'll show you characters that have no relation to each other (at least for now), doing things. Like a guy in the forest who does drugs, and he thinks his foot is speaking to him. On top of that there seems to be a focus on long, awkward silences and pauses between characters.

I think will like it a lot if he likes the weirdness. It just gets fully into it. The glass box events in the first few episodes will probably grab you.

At the risk of sounding like an edgelord /k/ommando, I'm gonna blogpost just a little.

I have long believed in a comparison where a political system is a lot like a computer system. The ruling class are the sysadmins, and the normal citizens are the users. The big corporations and PACs are superusers or power users. The system has rules, and access permissions and protocols and all that jazz. The users rely on the system to get their day to day shit done, the sysadmins are in charge of maintaining the system and allocating resources between projects, and the power users game the system by exploiting the more obscure rules and protocols, or occasionally by outright hacking it.

Over time, the system slowly degrades. Bugs exist. Exploits are found and not patched. This is fun for a while, because users can get away with things that aren't supposed to be allowed, like ../ing up and over into other user's directories. But as the years go by, the bugs begin to go from amusing and relatively harmless to detrimental. And like the normal users of a computer system, the common citizen has no power to fix systemic problems. We're locked out of the server console, Regedit is blocked, etc. We have no access, and so rely on the sysadmins to hear our complaints and fix shit.

Well politically, we have reached a stage where the sysadmins have essentially fucked off and let the power users (the political parties, fags like Soros, etc) have the run of the place. The bugs are piling up (unfair prosecutions, war on drugs, unchecked immigration that benefits the power users, voter fraud, illegal wars, censorship and surveillance) and the sysadmins are all too busy enjoying pizza and hotdogs to fix anything. The power users don't want to fix anything because the collapse is benefiting them.

So we have two revolutions. We have hackers on the right, and we have hackers on the left, and both of them want to get access to the server console, kick out the old sysadmins, put the power users back in their place, and start "fixing" shit that they personally found to be problems. But these hackers hate each other, so they spend as much time trying to stop the other hacker from getting access as they do trying to get access themselves. Meanwhile the system continues to crumble. Now, the hackers on the left don't realize it, but they've been co-opted by employees from the power users. The PUs plan to have these hackers win, and then make sure that the "fixes" to the system benefit them even more. The left hackers either don't realize this or don't care, because they consider the right side hackers to be a bunch of shitlords. Meanwhile the right side hackers know that if the left side hackers win, the power users are just going to keep fucking everything up and nothing will really get fixed. They're working for the benefit of the normal users only.

If you don't defeat them first, they'll undermine and destroy everything you care about for as long as they exist.

That aside, posting a single picture of him with a light skin tone doesn't exactly prove they made him white. You need comparison pics and a (((source))) where they choose to use the lighter tone. Also probably several other images of him, if possible, to show the white one is the edit and not vice versa.

If you don't have any GP, it eats credits at a terrible terrible exchange rate automatically. If you're downloading, convert all your credits to GP stat. You can also convert your hath to credits, but as I said last time we brought this up, I'd recommend spending 300 hath on the multi-page viewer, aka, continuous scrolling. Downloading is very very cheap and even without that 300, everything you have left will last a very long time. I like the multipage viewer because it make it's easier to decide whether something is worth downloading. It makes viewing doujins much faster as the entire thing loads at once instead of stalling to load each page and overall just makes for a better experience. Also my comic viewer has a "continuous scrolling" mode, but it stalls at the end of each page, then loads the next page with the top of the page already at the top of screen which is very jarring. I use CDisplayEx. Any better alternative that has continous scrolling like the Panda?

If you don't download much then you will really appreciate continuous scrolling. I played Hentaiverse for nearly three weeks to get the amount of credits I needed to get 300 Hath. With the spare change I had left over I've download several hundred doujins that didn't have torrents or good enough torrents. I still have over 430kGP left over.
