French leftist Jean-Luc Melenchon what do you think of him
- imperative mandate - constituant assembly - delete recent liberal labor law - 1 to 20 wage scale in private and public companies - increase guaranteed minimum wage +20% - ecological planification - increase investment in education and culture - nuclear dismantling - separation of investment and retail banks
My friend who's a trotskyist doesn't like him because he thinks Mélenchon is a nationalist and will only make French bosses and bourgeoisie stronger with his policies.
I always vote for his party, but i have to say that I don't like his style which I think is counterproductive.
Isaac Howard
Has any single big French politician ever addressed the monstrosity that is Françafrique?
Samuel Green
being hated by trots is the best endorsement
Bentley Phillips
Well it sounds like a good program but I don't think he will do it, even if he honestly wants it, once elected. Just look at Greece with Tsipras.
This. He keeps playing the pissed off leftist role so people don't take him seriously, just like Julien Coupat.
Easton Flores
Melenchon on françafrique not much content but he talks about those practices sometimes
The difference being that Mélenchon is actually willing to leave the EU by calling a referendum on it.
Nicholas Morales
he provides garantees with constituant assembly (this can fail however) and imperative mandate plus the UE referendum we can't affirm that he will do the job, but it may worth the try and we will take advantage of imperative mandate
Carter Kelly
He is the real Corbyn/Sanders of France and the lack of coverage he's been receiving while Hamon is touted as being a Sanders like figure. He's anti-eu as well, absolutely /ourguy/
Gavin Gomez
He's the best option among those running for president. However, the only way any of the left is going to make it to the second round is by a some sort of coalition between Hamon, Melenchon and Jadot. However attractive that may be for the election, I'm not sure how beneficial that may be for the Left in the long run. It might not even be possible to do in time for the election.
Caleb Garcia
Shit, left my shitposting flag on
Evan White
He doesn't mean removing power plants?

I doubt it since it's their primary energy source. OP just has shitty English.
The problem of running a coalition with Hamon and Jadot is that their parties are really attracted to social-liberal politic.
Hamon ensures the left flank of Socialist Party to be sure that radical left do not access to government.
Plus, half of Socialist Party is supporting Macron (their economical minister).
Hamon voted for a lot of Hollande laws and reform. Then he decided to be a "Frondeur" and join the fake opposition for a year.
Hamon brings with him El Khomri (labor law), Valls (first minister, useless airports), Cazeneuve (tear gas minister), and dozens of actual government oligarchs.
And historically the Green Party (EELV) leaded by Jadot work with Socialist Party and make agreement to obtain ministries (JF. Placé, D. Cohn Bendit, C. Duflot) and some of them tend to support the liberal bankster Macron.
I think it's better that Melenchon lose than we bring PS to government again.
(my english is not perfect, im french)

Her cleavage has quite the dress.

Would you vote for Le Pen in the second round?
Aiden Stewart

Christian Perez
they said the same for Austria as well
Leo Ortiz
ABSOLUTE MADMAN. I hope he wins.
Justin Phillips
Nasty, nasty woman.
Jaxon Butler
What does this even mean?
Colton Martinez
Googlify it.
Bentley Gomez
"planning" is the good word

Wyatt Ramirez
the left has no chance, Holland fucked up real bad. the only viable option was Fillon, but his got some serious shit going on right now and his odds are dropping by the day, actually recent polls say he won't even make it to the second round
Elijah Myers
For the hundredth time, this is not the real le pen, this is her inbred niece.
Carson Green
hnnnnng
Julian White
They shopped the national front slogan on the poster from "The strength of common sense" to "The strength of nice tits".
Gabriel Perez
What's his problem? If he gets elected, he'll NEED those nukes to keep the bourgeois from invading.
Eli Sanchez
Reminder that the french electoral system is not the same as Burgerland. Last time even fucking Chirac got 82% against the FN.
He's talking about power plants, it's a good idea to at least giving it a thought because you know? Fukushima and Tchernobyl. Not to mention, our plants were suposed to function for 50 years and EDF keep asking fr prolongations. They asked for the plants to be allowed to function for 60 years, then 70 years… As good ol capitalists, they will exploitate thoses plants until they blow up.
Brayden Collins
Well what the fuck will he use to replace them?
William Martinez
You're right, but remember that Marine has watered down the FN a lot, so who knows what could happen. I don't think that the working class will chose the Thatcherite Fillon or even Hollande's heir Macron over Le Pen. I'm not French tho.
Parker Garcia
More like cushy pen
Samuel Allen
fucking greenies ruin everything.
Social Democracy CANNOT exist without Economic Nationalism in the 21st century. It is also Class Collaborationist by default so whining about muh national bourgeoisie is just virtue signaling since that was always part of the package.
Don't compare the french economy to Greece, seriously.
Those tiddies could feed a nation.
You can't just drop the Nuclear program, green energy (wind, solar,…) is a meme and you'll be burning coal in no time. Chernobyl was likely western sabotage, Fukushima was a fucking tsunami. Nuclear is one of the safest energy sources out there. Repairing and replacing the plants with current technology would cut france's energy costs by a lot if they're as old as you claim.
