Is Communalism the most dialectical ideology? From the opposition between Marxism and Anarchism is created a synthesis which combines the best aspects of both.

It is certainly the most coherent, and the most relevant, dialectical philosophy on the left today.

What is Communalism?

Communalism refers to the whole of the philosophy of social ecology as developed by Bookchin.

Social ecology is a form of ecological humanism, and interdisciplinary field of study, and a holistic philosophy. Here's a good introductory book to the subject.

The philosophy underlying Bookchin's political praxis of Libertarian Municipalism, which argues against both capitalism and the state and proposes a confederation of autonomous directly democratic municipalities where production is guided by the needs of the population rather than profit. This pdf is a collection of several of his essays and explains his theories and proposals for how to bring them into reality.

Dialectics seems like a completely worthless meme. Every time someone uses it they're either just joking or they're actually just using the golden mean fallacy.

Dialectics, while commonly misunderstood, is actually a form of rationalist philosophy that is *eductive* rather than inductive or deductive. It finds its first expression in the ideas of Greek idealism, and particularly Aristotle's conception of potentiality and actuality. Here's a good short intro:

Literally: religion.

Thanks user. Reading it now.

That's retarded. Humanism is by-and-large associated with atheism.

Furthermore, Bookchin's philosophy is explicitly a naturalist philosophy qua Darwin, as opposed to supernaturalist.

Bookchin is a meme, stop this

read bookchin you stupid fuck,

Still a state

Humanism is the atheist religion. Humanity has just replaced God.

He has some good books, but you really should stop memeing Bookchin. People are gonna be disappointed when they find out he isn't all that he's hyped up to be.

What did you find disappointing about him, user?

Imagine if someone on here said marx was a meme. Simply stating that "x is a meme" doesn't add anything to the discourse.

That implies that people here are being disingenuous regarding the merits of social ecology and the coherence of bookchin. Simply espousing the virtues of an ideology is not "hyping it up" any more then espousing the virtues of marx's critique of capitalism is "hyping marx up"

A state is an organism outside of society that manages society. Libertarian municipalism is a system where society manages itself.

There it is: the most retarded thing I'll read today

If it's not claiming a monopoly on violence within it's region it's not a state

Thus, whether each municipality is a state depends on the municipality

I think it would really help if every political ideology would stop making up it's own definition of the word "state".

Monopoly on violence is retarded libertarian terminology that doesn't really get into the power relations. One could say there is no monopoly since there are multiple, competing States. The only way to qualify this is to make the addendum over a region. But what constitutes a region? Would the parent's monopoly of violence over the household be considered a state?

Except it was invented by Max Weber.

that's not what dialectics means

It's just hype when all you ever talk about is how great Bookchin is and how dialectical he is, and rarely discuss his ideas and positions. That's why everyone is treating it like a meme, just like all the other past "Read X" shitposts

Just because he's a sociologist doesn't make him a socialist. Now how about you start using useful theories for socialism

...

Also

Fine, I'll make a real post discussing an idea of his. I have only read The Next Revolution, but if I fuck it up maybe that will get the Bookchinfags to correct me and discuss their shit in detail for a change.

We talk about his ideas constantly. Just look at the communalist general thread or other threads discussing his essays

...

Go and educate the people in the ways of Bookchin by telling me that I misinterpreted him or that this is god-tier praxis or whatever else you wanna say.

Fixed that for you, comrade…

Nice thumbnail, NERD!

I had to since you keep spamming this fucking board with Bookchin. Keep drinking your religious coolaid.

...

From reading it seems to basically be a process of searching for internal logical contradictions arising from a set of axioms without considering anything outside of them. In fact, it's very, very similar to the process of searching for plot holes in a work of fiction. Watching anime is dialectical.

communalism confirmed for socdem-tier theory

...

It's utter trash

Marxism-Leninism is the only option for serious leftists

The soviet union was a state capitalist tyranny and historical materialism is based on fundamentally incorrect assumptions

Explain how Bookchin's Humanism isn't just bourgeois ideology like all other Humanism's are and how Althusser wasn't right in calling Humanism revisionist.

There's nothing wrong with revisionism. We should be constantly evaluating our theory and striving for objectivity, which of course includes modifying your ideas in light of new evidence.

Explain how Bookchin is humanist and how Althusser criticises this. Or you could just take the human centric ecology Bookchin describes for what it is: accepting that humanity is what socialism is all about and an exploration of the relation between humans and nature.

that doesn't exist

Daily reminder that Bookchinites are pseudo-intellectuals:

Neither does "marxism"-"leninism"
