Nope it's mostly all college aged students and the typical SJW types on campus. There are videos widely available all over youtube. The Portland "riots" are especially telling, there's a group of black mask wearing liberals holding up traffic, the police move in and start throwing them on the ground and into handcuffs, while everybody standing around cheers. The "masses" are not in on these protests.

The people were pissed were not "right wing nuts," they were the former blue collar democrats who made up most most small towns across the country and wake up every morning to a desolate wasteland. I'm from one of these small towns in Ohio, I saw firsthand the transformation as people around me who were Democrat my whole life were, for the first time, angry, rabid, Trump supporters ready to overthrow the system. One walk through the "center" of our town tells the story, once a bustling place grandpa would take the kids for ice cream and a movie now empty lot after empty lot. The people had enough, they didn't care what it took, they were far from "right wing nuts."

Tbh, the CIA was probably right about his Russian connections, or at least some aspects of it. They've briefed him on the stuff, so I doubt that it's something they're unwilling to reconcile.

To my mind, the problem is that all these people were so easily tricked by the fake nationalism/ populism thing when it's painfully clear he's just another rich egomaniac who shits on poor people. Here in the south you see tons of support for him from dirt-poor people, and I don't know how to tell them that he's a liar. They dont listen, mostly because anything complicated is "liberal academic brainwashing" or "fake news".
