Moderation is censorship. That's not bad in and of itself, because ostensibly it's censorship in service of the rules posters agreed to abide by in the course of posting here. That is, it's a predictable outcome when rules are broken. I say "ostensibly" because things Mark doesn't like are about 500% more likely to be removed than things he does like, even if both are against the rules that he himself wrote. Moderation is fine and necessary in some degree, but corrupt moderation that favors topics or posters unevenly just erodes the meaning in having rules to follow at all.

If Mark wants to be more permissive of certain things, the right way to do it is to relax or reframe the relevant rules instead of selectively applying them as currently written. That undermines predictability, and like stock market instability, spoils poster/investor confidence.

Valve doesn't really care what's on the store. They can get out of any fines or liability by "promptly removing access" once brought to their attention. This way they can let the community police content and avoid any costs except the handful of cases a year where they manually remove titles.

For sexual/pornographic content though, steam doesn't allow games that have it as the main focus, so eroge games have to be censored in order to be on the steam store. I'm not sure what type of game this is as it looks like a really bad 3D porn game, but if it is then they need to censor it. If it is what the OP says that it's only fans that are telling it to censor it, then its up to the Devs whether they want to do it or not.
