It's gonna be quite different, because the developer said a while ago that the game fans have patched is not even 40% what they had.
Of course, if the game had leaked at 80% or more, Nintendo would release a version with more things in it added during the last year just so they can say "see? You've never played the REAL game!"

Supposedly the version of Starfox 2 on the SNES mini is a "complete" version of the game that is different from the patched ROM that people thought was mostly complete. -second, shorting demand
-third, ending production before they've met demand
By limiting production Nintendo creates a secondary market in which no MSRP exists and resellers are free to charge what they want.
Nintendo is only abusing consumers with their behavior, by banking on successful IP's and bringing little to the table. Oh, you redesigned the system to be smaller and be a single-board system? How cute!
It's gotten to the point that to smart consumers this seems truly outrageous. How little respect they have for their audience (which mind you, is of all ages) is laughable. Nintendo even got caught downloading ROMs from the internet and charging customers to pay a unfair price for their IP. To give Nintendo money for anti-consumer behavior is something that only encourages this throughout the industry and in the end harms the industry. You can get a pawn shop laptop for around the same price that you would for the Pi, case, and all the rest of the stuff that goes into it, and it's likely to be at least four times as powerful with the perk that you can use it as a laptop. Maybe you just wanna get the board and a controller on its own? The laptop would still be a better value.
