Nope. They've burned through the entire backer money store and have taken a massive loan. Most of the people who would buy the game have already backed it and will not pay for the final product, which they get as part of backing it.
Even if they released the first part soon as a full game, I'd be amazed if they made even close to enough to pay off their loan. They're double-fucked. At the very best, they'll make a bit of a profit, but the most likely outcome is that they end up folding before they release anything and go bankrupt.

EVE goons were atrophied long before the war, the only thing keeping them relevant was their subservient meatshield (((allies))). They'll probably come out with something decent, but I suspect that they're really burning through their funds with lavish pay grades and facilities, so I don't think long term development will produce much. There'll come a point where the game is "released", where they'll get some sales and then after that it'll mostly stop except for the whales who are already $1k+ invested. With reduced income the studio will have to lay off staff, releases will slow down and eventually they'll release "Star Citizen: Ultimate Edition" as one last push to rake in some dough before they close up shop.

Like all companies, I expect 99% of the dev cycle was looking at traps.

It's honestly pretty easy to understand, people want an ultra-deep and complex game without any sort of conflict whatsoever. They want all the depth and intrigue of large-scale combat with none of the "getting shot" or risk of loss.

Constantly making revisions doesn't help, either.
