An user from here one posted about his attempt to turn Skyrim into something more similar to a "weird RPGmaker game" complete with graphics, difficulty, survival, music, armour, etc mods.

The fucker went as far as to make an entire soundtrack for it made from the ost of Drakengard, Off, Yume Nikki, Space Funeral, Lisa, etc.
It's seriously the best shit. It turns Skyrim from a generic setting slug fest to a survival horror surrealistic "hope my rifle fires before fifty skeletons shove their swords up my ass" simulator.

He used some of the Pathologic OST as well.

You'll need your mandatory fixes like SkyUI and the unofficial patches. Then you'll want Immersive NPCs to add characters to Skyrim to actually talk to, some good, some bad, recruit Anum La if you want a follower that's actually good.

Then you'll want quests that are actually good, up to you to find those. The undercity one or whatever was pretty good, Immersive NPCs has a few already, avoid Falskaar.

Then you need to overhaul combat. Get immersive armors, then immersive weapons, for variety. Choose an overhaul mod of your choice, I hear Wildcat is good but I haven't tried it myself. You'll also want to overhaul the perks, Ordinator is like the best apparently but I got pissed off that it nerfed the damage increase perks for weapons. It might not suck as much with a combat overhaul that drops enemy sponginess.

Graphics are up to your discretion, I found most of them too much of a pain in the ass to bother installing.

On a more serious note, why did we never get a fallout 4 porn world, I mean isn't the engine better? Wouldn't that inspire moders to make more porn?

Animation was fucked, the script extender guys found the game so ludicrously boring they couldn't be assed to keep updating it, the dialogue system made interacting with NPCs way more difficult, and the game in general is just really fucking boring and lame to play. Even Skyrim has more going for it fucking vanilla than Fallout 4 does modded, and that's saying something.

My last playthough I used Realistic Needs and Diseases, Frostfall and Campfire, and refused to fast travel.

It was a pretty good run, I ended up collecting book series to read while camping at night, before going to sleep.

I also got Inigo as a follower, it has a decent backstory which I never finished.

Frostfall and some sort of Needs mod at least makes the game remotely fucking interesting. Anything to change the perks, anything at all, because as is it's fucking shit and made me want to kill myself for bothering to play the game longer than an hour.

wondering: to remove the effect, edit enbeffect.fx in a text editor and look for #define LETTERBOX_BARS, add the value 0 next to it.

Did you follow all the instructions? Did you install the linked file alone (The noir) or did you also grab the other files needed to run an ENB?

I went to the linked site and downloaded the .rar
It said to get the .dll file from it, so I did that.
the only .dll I saw was d3d9.dll

I seem to have fixed it by pasting the original enb files back into the folder. I guess I used the wrong enbeffect.fx file.

Post them in a different thread this one is bumplocked. Remember to activate the mods in your in-game skyui mod menu. Also, remember to craft some guns and play on the right difficulty.
