Last year the UK was talking about enforcing The Digital Economy Bill to add age ratings to all pornography sites and outright banning anything with “extreme pornographic material”. Mind you they weren't clear on what this material could be so expect many inconsistent, subjective standards being set until fully stated. Here's a link to some coverage on said article.

If you read on, it talks about anything obscene can be banned. Obscene meaning "anything that material that will 'tend to deprave and corrupt persons' who view it." Again, very vague and can just be used to police many things prudes in the UK don't want people to see.
Well, they have now brought up this bill again and are on the final steps to pass it. They plan on enforcing the age restrictions April of next year, despite people thinking it's way too soon to enforce this without proper preparation

Enforcing this law is going to be horrible at the beginning. They're suggesting sites to take credit card numbers and personal information to ensure the right age of viewers. However, the age restriction law doesn't enforce sites to make sure there are security measures for the information they take from people either.
How do you think this will effect ero-games? Under this law, most are guaranteed to be banned and will hamper the creation of them too. Hopefully this law doesn't spread to anywhere else outside the UK.
