Yeah, of course. Just like you say it is true that a capitalist society divides people through identity and LARPing liberals do observe this correctly. In the US a black women on average does in fact have it harder than a white male.
However, what we should do is point out why exactly this is. We need to point out how the structural discrimination takes place on a material level: The black women has a harder life because she has been born into a poor community, imbued with societal norms that make little to no class mobility possible. The actual oppression takes on a material form. By doing this we can refute The class struggle takes the most importance, no matter who you are.
After you have clarified this and the LARPing liberal has understood it, we must tackle We must point out how because the class struggle is the most important, any fight for oppression that does not take it into account is inherently misled. At best it is a waste of time that will not actually improve the material conditions of the people you are fighting for. At worst it is used to divide the proletariat through identity politics, as we could see this election. Identity politics, void of class struggle, do not just attempt to empower those who are oppressed, they are also a way for the ruling class to strengthen their power: In 2016 we saw two political campaigns in the US that were running largely on identity politics, HRC is obvious but Trump was running on it as well. He was running for white people and white men, an identity that traditionally has been favored in American society and through him empowering it we can truly see why identity politics are so dangerous. Now the American public is largely caught up in a fight for minorities and its backlash while the material conditions of the people are not actually improving. The class struggle has, again, fallen into relative irrelevance.

I agree with both points, however to play devils advocate i feel that it's important to recognize all oppressive structures and unify the struggle against them.
Class struggle is the tool to begin the end of all other forms of oppression (i.e. the liberal idea of muh privilege), as such whether it is described as the only struggle or as the sum of all others is a matter of semantics.
That said i won't deny that there are liberals running on idpol exclusively and denying any class aspect, and this should be fought.
