Could I point out that the show hasn't been the same since season 2? The first two season were pretty consistent in having a bad anime with kick-ass fight scenes. Season 3 is where everything began to feel off because no one knew how to actually animate a fight scene like Monty could, and the story was there, but there wasn't anything noteworthy like there was in the first two seasons. Then season four dropped all our expectations. The entire season just dragged on and on with what could have been a third (At most, half) of the episodes actually used. Also, it doesn't help that the season was full of a whole bunch of nothing. The only exciting thing Team RNJR does is slaughter the grimm that destroyed Ren's home. Yang get's over losing her arm too incredibly quick with a clear indication that the writers didn't know how to write. Weiss is observing the set up for Ironwood to go all "Make Atlus Great Again". And, Blake goes to visit her folks. Nothing important happened for an entire "season", and it doesn't help that the fighting animation is still awkward as Hell.

If you guys want to know what else is wrong with RWBY (Beyond RT also being run SJ Cucks) here's the season 5 bingo card (That is if going to >>>/rwby/ is too much work for ya). Also, "Best Girl" Yang is voiced by a literal Jew.

A Under Night In Birth x Persona crossover would actually make the most sense aesthetics wise. Modern urban Japanese setting, various teens and adults fighting with swords, guns, and spiritual weapons with some having summons. It seemed like 2 series that would blend well. Now adding BB is a stretch since it's a completely different universe with a ton of different mechanics but it's not that bad. But then there's RWBY. BlazBlue, Persona 4 Arena and Under Night In-Birth all use normal 2D sprites. Guilty Gear uses super cool 3D models that look and move like 2D but ultimately are probably not compatible with this engine or would be a bitch to work into it. Face it, they're just recycling the animations they already got into a new game, they're probably not going to invest into making to many new sprites, probably just the main characters from RWBY.

They don't have any 720p Guilty Gear sprites. XX sprites are wildly out of date, and Xrd is cel-shaded 3D. They'd have to do the entire cast over again in 720p sprites. Compare these UNIEL and XX sprites' size/resolution.

Monty Oum was a combat animator that used to make celebrity deathmatch videos. Haloid and Dead Fantasy. He was hired by Rooster Teeth to put some actual fight scenes in Red vs Blue. He powerleveled so hard that they told him if he could finish their terribly behind-schedule series in time, he could make his own show.

He did, and made RWBY. The setting is like and anime about if Hogwarts trained Devil May Cry protagonists instead of stodgy British spellcasters. They started fucking with his idea for the show from day 1, and he was planning on taking the IP elsewhere to have total creative control. But it was a major hit and he conveniently died immediately after. Everyone Monty trusted on the team was gotten rid of, and the series is now a shambling corpse that even /rwby/ only watches out of morbid curiosity. The show had problems to begin with because they were staffing a 3D animated show with people who had done nothing much machinima (literally pulled voice actors from the office staff), so it was garbage until a fight scene, at which point it was CUHRAYZEE. But now Monty's gone, taking with him the show's redeeming values.

Well, remember. Yang and Adam were explicitly based on fighting game mechanics. Yang's hair-fire effect is literally her Super gauge, and she gets more powerful the higher it gets, a la Lucario in Smash. Unlike Lucario, she has to spend it to pull out a big attack. So we'll probably get a cost/benefit metagame around storing up your damage for increased base stats versus dishing out a finisher that, if whiffed, will gimp you.

Adam is a counter-fighter, probably inspired by Haku-men.
