Nigga, people can't find facts if they're right in front of their noses. People need active education, someone needs to TELL them the facts. Reactionary views should be looked down on but I think it's important to try to understand where the reactionary views come from. And education shouldn't start with lecturing, but bonding over common struggles most workers have, and make sure they recognize the issues we present are issues they recognize in their own lives. Take it from there.

We don't need to turn them into progressives, we don't need to make them all ideological communists, we just need to appeal to their self-interest and show them that socialism would be more beneficial to them. Can I just ask? I grew up in rural midwest but am black. I have no idea how to talk to rednecks and make them comrades even though I've grown up around them. I can't stand the shilling for muh country, muh flag, muh military and I just become irate. I am also turned off whenever they go on about the blacks and the welfare. I get it, self sufficiency is great. Socialism is about promoting work not handouts afterall. But there's an undercurrent of anger at minorities that just turns me off. For example central americans come up every year to work the slaughterhouses and help with harvests and what not. I've seen white people in town make a point of making life harder even for the kids of these central american people. Not only that but they are the first to tattle to immigration or align with bosses whenever the central american workers have an issue. I have tried to show them how the idpol of "real" americans is similar to liberal idpolling but its not working. I'm honestly asking for advice.
