Read the books, they're significantly better than the show. Theres a lot of subtext, subplots and an incredible amount of forshadowing in the books to the point that you'd miss so much unless you did multiple readthroughs. Not to mention the shows really gone to shit. The only thing worth seeing showwise is knowing how it ends since George will probably die before finishing the entire series, and can find out what the ending would be, theoretically, assuming D&D don't change it cause they think they know better than the author.

Take an average employee salary of, say, $50k/year. If you're the employer, you're spending like something $75k/yr or more for that salary because you have to pay for benefits, taxes, and other shit.
