Best Games for Vive-VR so far?

Have had my Vive-VR for a few weeks now and a good system and can run it well. As of now though, haven't really found anything to justify the purchase as far as games. Other than blow up balloons and a few of the other basics.
It might have been a stupid purchase, but I'll be goddamned if I was going to give Facefuck and anything related to them even a dollar. I hope that damn thing isn't obsolete within a year and they come out with an updated version. Anyone who has a Vive, have you found something cool that isn't just a novelty? Trying to go through steam and find something fun where at least maybe the levers can act as guns.

Right now, by far best thing abound it is google earth and being able to get up close to all sorts of things, almost like a tour without having to travel. HAs anyone come across a a game that's actually fun and justifies the cost?

Arizona sunshine is probably the best single player game on the Vive. Unless you want to get Custom Maid 3D or Honey Select going which can be difficult.

Shit, those look interesting, thanks. Waiting for the first "military game." A few years ago I bought….that rifle that was meant to let you "shoot" as you played COD of BF, and it ended up being total shit. Even if they let you use the pads you squeeze as a "weapon," could be a lot of fun.
Thanks man, saving the names of these..

Interesting way of typing.

>>>/vir/ is deddddd

would it have been better if I wrote it in fucking Swahili?

click clack

I was expecting at least a few really good games by now. I have the two fucking things screwed into my wall to create the field in-between, I even bought a cover for it to keep it from getting dusty, and not a single fucking game. I mean, yeah, as already said the google earth shit is pretty fucking cool, but I could pretty much mimic that with a $25 shekel pair of 3d glasses and a 3d movie.

It bothers me too. I constantly hear about all these companies working on VR titles but it always pans out to be fucking nothing.
Valve! Wheres the games, Valve? You said there would be games!

This will be an interesting question (though I still wouldn't give the Jew who owns facefuck a dime)– anyone have Vive and Occ Rift and have any opinion and which is better as far as game selection? For that matter, for the shekels the vive cost me, could have gotten a new PS AND the fucking PS VR.

The last cool external feature on a game system was the xbox with the voice censor in Ryse where you could call in arrows as cover. THAT was fucking nice.

I heard you. And even worse is that I see shit coming out for the Sony PS PR, even the Occ Rift and I feel like a total dick. Though they haven't lowered the price yet, which means, I hope, this upcoming season they expect to have shit worth buying….

Onward is the only worthwhile VR game, but that was already pictured in and it's still in (((early access))).

...

It has its perks, if you know what i mean.

At this point fucking PSVR has more actual games than Vive. PSVR is also much more comfortable headset than Vive which still has problems with glasses and putting too much weight on your nose. And fucking Rift is getting price cuts while Vive still sits at release price. It's pretty obvious that Valve doesn't really give a fuck about their VR, they just jumped on the bandwagon for quick shekel since HTC offered them chance.

Metroid Prime in Dolphin VR.

Elite Dangerous if you want spess VR. Dirt Rally if you want to go fast and I mean FAST.

is this 'i have to take xanax to make vr fun' user? because nobody else is autistic enough to keep making threads about how they paid $600 to look at Google Earth really close up.
did you try it with a whole bottle at once yet?

This. Use the VR version of dolphin. It has a preset for vive, you can adjust a lot of settings. I'm unsure how it would work with a wiimote in the trilogy.

Sizebox

Really though, VR is mostly good for sim enthusiasts and porn. Go get E:D, some racing games, or fucking DCS and have the best time of your lives. Dedicated VR games are just full of shitty russians scammers and unity shit. TFW flying in VR is the closest I'll ever get to flying a real warbird.. WHY EVEN LIVE

You may as well be proud you bought a kinect you fucking goyim.

It's was $700. I don't give a fuck, for a history geek, it's still amazing to figuratively "stand" near the Gates of Constantinople and see what the defenders saw, to follow the passage Don Jon of Austria took to Lepanto to defeat the Turk at Sea, to be able to follow Sherman's March through Atlanta to the Sea, to be able to "stand" on the beaches of Dunkirk waiting for evacuation….if you aren't a fucking history geek, maybe none of that makes sense but if you truly are, it's all worth its weight in shekels.

Once you really master the fucking thing thing, it's the equivalent of being able to take a train trip around Europe or Asia or even go diving in the Galapagos or stand in Patagonia or in the Grand Canyon or the Blue Lagoon in Iceland whenever you want to see it. Yeah, it takes work to get used to and it needs a software update (which is way overdue), but given the shekels they charged for that fucking Vive, I can't imagine them just leaving everyone hanging lest the people who paid for it would be fucking mutinous.

They'll update the software or it will be one of the biggest fucking "busts" in history, since I'm sure not everyone is the history geek I am.

Did you (or anyone else here) buy a racing wheel yet? The average cost seems to be ~$250 shekels, some have gas pedals, some don't. Overall though, there seem to be several decent options.

As far as military planes and VR flying (unless anyone knows of anything better), the most popular option seems to be the X-56 Rhino, which gets some of the worst reviews of anything I've seen. In my next paychecks, maybe going to start putting away shekels for a steering wheel with gas pedal can use with VR, although would like to try it before buying to make sure I like the set up. Should I not like it, only option would be to send back via amazon…..

Dolphin VR actually looks pretty fucking decent. May as well try it…..

Come on, does no one have a goddam wheel thing of amazon to use for Eurotrucker or one of the racing games? I'm interested in Eurotrucker now because: A. I want to see what it's like to drive the roads before the savages blow them apart B. I'm wondering if they'll have interested animals near the Calais crossing at the jungle where you need to beat them off.

Seems like it would be fun as fuck to do it VR. Anyone have Eurorucker, HT Vive and a wheel? I'm starting to winder if I'm one of the only motherfuckers who jumped and bought one of the goddam things rather than Occ Rift, simply because I couldn't stand giving the Facebook like a shekel….

the logitech g27 can be had for under $150 dollarydoos if you look in the right places. i have one and it's fucking awesome. it's the only peripheral i think i've ever owned that i have literally zero complaints about. 900 degree range of motion, strong force feedback (don't turn it up too high or it'll shake its own motor loose), great-feeling pedals, 6-speed H-shifter, flappy paddle shifters as well i only use them for shifting in dirt rally or for signals in american truck simulator.

dirt rally with that thing is genuinely fucking stressful and feels insane. you can feel, through the wheel, changes in surface, and can even feel when your back wheels are starting to slide. FWD cars have torquesteer and you can actually feel it. you need to wrench the wheel around and actually get your arms into the game. it's fantastic and it's honestly the only reason i'm considering getting a vive

Prepare to fiddle with the settings for each game.

Pleb.

Arizona Sunshine is a good proof-of-concept survival horror game with a decent amount of depth and immersion.

Raw Data and Robo Recall are the best action games in VR. Robo Recall's Rift exclusive but you can get it running with ReVive, though the controls are a bit weird.

Vive isn't completely kiked and has the superior hardware and software.
Too expensive though

I had a Vive for about 6 months before selling it. My biggest complaint was the controllers. They are total shit compared to the Rift Touch controllers.

Zuckerbergstein pls

Check out Waifu Sex Simulator

whatever you wanna say m8, they fucked up big time with the controllers. They don't feel as nice, and they don't have enough inputs, and they extend too far off from the hands, meaning you bump things more easily (like low ceilings).

Now I'm not saying the rest of the rift is better, as clearly the tracking is higher quality on the Vive, as is the overall setup for the sensors. But the controllers are a total mistake, one that will live on to drag down the Vive for at least the foreseeable future as games are forced to comply with its inferior design and functionality.

Robo Recall is the best VR game at the moment.

Arizona Sunshine is closest to a full campaign

Onward and Pavlov VR are decent MP games

Raw Data, Sairento VR, Gorn, Star Trek Bridge Crew, maybe the Budget Cuts demo

Also the vive grip buttons are irredeemable shit, the rift using analog grips with a long travel distance works so much better and feels so much better than those terrible unresponsive side buttons with no travel and shit feel.

Also Echo Arena is, or is going to be free shortly on Oculus' store, just need to use reVive for it

You might want to add the Action Replay code for disabling culling on Prime 1 and 2 - if you want increased FOV, because on widescreen, the edges on your screen are culled by default. Embed might help, the forum is where you can get the VR dolphin version, though I think Dolphin 5.0+ whatever comes with VR by default now. So that forum might be years outdated, especially the emulator.

Actually the new Dolphin version only has stereoscopy (3D). If you want your motion detector accelerometer to work for head tracking you need to use the VR version.

It was made for the rift. You can only play it facing one direction. It doesn't even have roomscale. God, you are such a faggot.

Fuck you, that is the gold fucking standard of VR right now.
