iidx is okay but it's 99% instrumentals. That's not bad but I like lyrics in my rhythm games. That alone is why I went more towards DDR and Dance Maniax.

Total War Shogun 2 has the right feel, as long as you want to be an honorbaru shogun.

It's because William was a real person (though obviously it takes a lot of liberties with him, even down to his nationality). You can play as tons of other characters by buying their skins though and all except one are Japanese.
