So, what is it?

It always amazed me how the most interesting pokemon in the entire franchise is also completely unusable dogshit

Nanikaga means "Something" in Japanese according to jewgle translate.

So I guess it's "Something Coming".

Apparently during development of XY, devs experimented with the idea of revealing Pokemon originated from space and were ayylmaos (before adapting on earth). Even Team Flare and one of the Gym Leaders were gonna be aliens trying to get them back (hence the uniform sort of like being a government agent- dark glasses and a suit).
They abandoned the idea since the idea of turning the "magic animals" into aliens felt like it'd shift the tone of the series and make fans feel betrayed.

Still, they do alien/dimentional shit as shown before.
I'm guessing this is just means Ultra Sun/Moon are gonna explain more about the box legendaries, Necrozma, and the Ultra Beasts.

what is even pokemon anymore
shit's been off the rails since mega evolution, mecha power ranger transformer legendary and now pokedemons from an alternate dimension who possess people

Isn't that DP music? Or at least Gen IV music?
I wonder, is this for the Switch game or for Ultra Su/Mo?

Isn't it Platinum's 10 year anniversary soon?

Yeah, it's fucking retarded. You can whine about muh gens all you want, but it really went to shit with Mega evolutions.

Mega Evos are shit, but realistically, where else could the series go? People complain with almost every release that all the games are samey and too similar to each other

Just let you fuck the pokemon already and be done with it. It's what the people who still play this shit want anyway.

I like the way you think user

Not to upset you but, you might be retarded

We cloned this ancient cat-fetus which has the DNA of EVERYTHING EVER inside it that was perfectly alive and well hiding out in a forest somewhere and accidentally made a bioweapon version of Bites The Dust
Yeah good thing pokemon only became retarded now.

At least some people in this thread have some sense.

While I'm here;
AHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHHAAHAHA

They'll probably do DP for 3DS after Ultra, or maybe even put it on Switch after that next game is done. Depends how Switch does and ~~if~ how they'll rush it.

I can't imagine they'll just sell a Platinum remake. You'll get Diamond and Pearl, with the post game being some stuff with Heatran and Charon or Charaon going after Giratina in the Distortion World instead.

And we won't get Battle Frontier then either.

The fans like it, so they can afford to be iterative. And younger people keep picking it up, so it'll keep getting easier. They don't even need to challenge better RPGs since they sell gang-busters- games and merch.

But if we're in a world where they decide "lets earn that reputation and make a better RPG- single player and competitive" they'd need to rebalance and rework shit from the ground up. The best are too strong so you need to give weaker pokes more balance. Don't expect to see all Pokemon at a tournament (though Battle Factory tournaments would be interesting) but instead of the same 9 or 18, there needs to be much more viability. You can solve half the issue by having stronger pokes have a more limited movepool (it can only do one thing- but it does it well) and weaker Pokemon having more variety (you don't know how its built and it could throw anything at you).
After the autismal mathematical theory you'd need to work that out, it all falls down to personal taste (all Pokemon having access to Protect/Dodge as a "5th" move, limitations to one MegaStone or one Z Move in battle).

wew

Not my fault they mis-spelt the romanization.

trust me, they're working on it.

Moonrunes for the ayyyy trailer. How fitting.

...

Technically all the ultrabeasts are Ayylmaos.

Apart from lacking organic eyes (apart from the cockroach) they look as daft and cluttered as other designs recently. The bubbles in Buzzswole is probably the first in a long time they've added details back in (hair and feathers having more original strands before becoming blobs)

Fuck, I got U and W mixed up.

Derp.

uuu.yousuckeggs.com

ultra beasts and ayy-lmaos tried to invade us, now it's time for US to invade THEM.

How would you build your invasion army? Which pokemon would be best fit for such a task? No legendaries.

G is total bullshit and you know it.

Are you fishing for Ultra Beast porn because that sounds really sexual

Army of probopass to culturally enrich them

user pls

What could it mean ?

Agreed. I guess it's a lower case g- but even then it's back to front.

Haven't seen something like that in a while.

...

It's still backwards, you smug asshole.

Uh
LEGITIMATE 4TH STAGE EVOLUTIONS
TRIPLE TYPES
THREE WAY BATTLING
CHANGE BATTLE MECHANICS (four of each type of move–physical/special/status) (keep every move the Pokémon can learn simultaneously; get rid of PP in exchange for a cooldown system)
And that's not even discussing what you could do to change the story, which has always been the same. It's not like there's only one story to be told in this world.

You're retarded.

Are you 10?

First off, they already did it (just shittily). Second, you're retarded.
bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Battle_Royal

Are you 100? See, I can do it, too; ask a question about a number that has nothing to do with the actual discussion at hand. Doesn't do any good, though.

Was that ever really explained, my memory is dizzy on that

I can't fucking wait for eviolite toxapex

Okay, let's do this, then.
What do triple types add to the game, besides needless complexity? Don't get me wrong, I like depth, but more than two types starts to fuck all sorts of things up. Why stop at three? Could you give an example of a pokemon that would benefit from this change?

Mew was basically a progenitor to all Pokemon. Then they tried to clone it and made Mewtwo. Pokemon were around in ancient times so either Mew is immortal and thousands or years old, or its a unique species that only has one member that reincarnates, like a phoenix would

Then you get shit like Arceus

Imagine a nip saw the left one though. He could have thought the tail of the g curled counter-clockwise due to how they do their kanji?

I mean, that's the only excuse at this point.

Cross breeding exclusive Pokemon?

That fag Ash meets on Mt. Moon had the same theory 20 years ago

Heres your (you), now go back yourself.

On the file, I am in elite 4 vs lance and only have 6 pokemon in my party.
They all unknown, and they spell
YOUR DEAD

Mew is just the first species of pokemon, and it's a low population one at that so to dr fuji it made more sense to try and clone it than find a living specimen. Arceus comes into play because this series has just as bad a case of Toriyama forgot as dragon ball ever did.

Then again, pokemon's "lore" was never too consistent. GARDEVOIR CAN CREATE A SMALL BLACK HOLE

Prove your claim.
If you give triple types to the most powerful Pokémon, that increases their weaknesses. Most of the ones that can justify having a third type would only incidentally benefit from them; it's for the sake of better balance. And come on, tell me that Venomoth shouldn't be Bug/Poison/Flying.

Oh, another thing. Abilities should be attributes of the species, meaning they get all of them at once. That would allow legendaries to ALL have pressure (as an inherent function of you fighting a legendary) while getting something useful in addition. It would allow all floating Pokémon to be properly levitating without sacrificing a proper species attribute. And yes, that means that Lanturn gets both Water Absorb AND Volt Absorb, for example. It's called CHANGING THE GAME, specifically the "meta."

I mentioned Venomoth already, but here are some others. Rotom keeps Ghost in all forms, Dhelmise gets Water, Beedrill gets Flying, Alolan Exeggcutor keeps Psychic, Steelix keeps Rock, Rhyperior can get Fighting, Scizor keeps Flying, Tyranitar keeps Ground, Celebi, Manaphy, Victini, and Jirachi can get Fairy, Masquerain keeps Water, the whole Flygon line gets Bug, Altaria keeps Normal, Dragalge keeps Water, the whole Decidueye line gets Ghost… etc.

Oh, and there can be a new Pokémon based on a nuclear power plant that is Electric/Steel/Poison. Better give that sucker a balloon.

ohshit dude ur fuked

Triple types doesn't sound like too good of an idea with the current types pool. I don't get why they're so hung up about 3 stage evos though, but knowing gamefreak they'd turn them into fucking Digimons at that stage. Niggers completely forgot that less is more and simplicity is best when designing pokemon.

Absolutely this. If they changed up the fucking story every now and then there wouldn't even be so much of a focus on "every game plays the same" when it comes to mechanics.

And how are you going to keep track of all those weaknesses and strengths? It would be a pain in the ass to keep all that memorized in your head and re-learn every pokemon's resists and weaknesses.
Your idea on abilities is also retarded. Just rip off the pokemon tabletop and give pokemon tiered abilities, which they can pick at say, level 25 and level 50. It lets pokemon have multiple abilities while still forcing the players to prioritize which ones suit the role you want.

Get your plebbit-spacing, over emotional asshurt self off my board you limp-wristed, lispy-voiced 12yo faggot.

Can't wait for Fairy, Steel and Dark in Red/Blue

Lots of directions. But before they can go any direction, they need to get their heads out of their ass.

A pokemon is only as good as their trainer, user.

...

6 pokemon
Spells an 8 letter word
more like
"Yer Ded"

The problem with that is, that most 3rd stage designs are designed to have no possible growth to them, hence why they made Megas that seem less like a direct evolution but rather tacked on shit to an existing pokemon.

Which adds fuck all. The only thing you gain out of triple types is the possibility of triple STAB.
A pokemon that is Bug/Steel/Grass is still going to be destroyed by Fire attacks so having weaknesses stack will do fuck all.
A pokemon that is Flying/Psychic/Poison will take fuck all damage from Fighting, Similarly to a Flying/Psychic type. You could make the argument of having some weaknesses offset others such as Grass/Steel/Water for Fire attacks but you already have 2 abilities for that (Thick Fat and Heatproof)

Battle Royal of 7th Gen.

The only pokemon who'd benefit from such a change is Salamence and maybe Greninja.

2 problems,
A. This would be fucking hard to balance for certain attacks.
B. Pokemon Go already tried that. Wanna know what happened? Pokemon like Gengar, Jolteon, Alakazam got shafted because doing lots of fuck all damage didn't do shit and had to be buffed out the ass.

As for the story, I'd love for the story to start going back to the way that Gen 5 was going with an actual plot. Sure it's the usual "YOU'RE DA CHOSEN WAN" but the other characters seemed to have some depth and made the world that bit better.

Mechanically, what I would do is
1) Revamp Ice types and remove freezing.
Currently Ice is one of the strongest attacking types but one of the worse defending types. Remove a majority of water type's access to Ice attacks
Make Ice Super Effective vs Fire, Electric and Fairy ontop of the usual.
Make Ice Resist Water, Electric, Dragon and Fairy.
This would make various bulky ice types actually hold onto their bulkiness and makes Water types that gain Ice additionally benefit them more than STAB Ice beam.
Freeze status removed and just run with the idea of lowering speed on Ice attacks

2) Other Type changes
Steel resisting Dark but take SE damage vs Psychic types. This would horribly gimp pokemon such as Lucario which is already pretty fucking strong. This would gimp the top steel types more than what the current Dark type weakness has, which, seems to have gimped the lower end steels more.
In turn, make Dark weak to Steel. I think this was in a Touhoumon game and to be honest I never quite got used to Dark not being weak to Steel.
Water being weak vs Poison.

3) Unique pokemon typing. Gen 5 generally did the best in this but there's still an asston of typings that haven't been touched yet Ice/Bug Mosquito based off of a fencer when?

4) Rebalance many of the pokemon
Many Gen 1,2 and 3 pokemon needs a complete rework of their stats to differentiate them from many of their later counterparts, the best example I can think of is Flygon which, currently is just seen as a shitty Garchomp. If they tweaked it's stats to push it more towards a special attacking role then it would be used in place of Garchomp if a team is becoming too physical etc.

Fuck you mark, 𝗋𝖾𝖽𝖽𝖎t 𝗌𝗉𝖺𝖼𝗂𝗇𝗀, when it actually happens is legitimately awful.

I don't get it

You're retarded because they already did it, and you don't pay attention.

But why?

Now this is autism.

How the fuck do you do it NOW? It's the same as the current system.

Try harder. This isn't 4chan.

You're a retard. They should ADD a new status–hypothermia–which acts as a Special Attack version of Burn. Ice should be 2x to Water and Water 0x to Ice. Make Ice 2x to Bug, as well. That'll balance pretty well and give Ice a decent boost against one of the most powerful types. Fire, Electric, and Fairy? Are you seriously retarded? What justification is there for that?
Steel resists Psychic because how the fuck are you going to mind control a microwave? It no longer resists Ghost because Ghosts are intangible and wouldn't give a shit about Steel's existence, and it no longer resists Dark because there's just no relationship there at all.

Cry some more you autistic faggot.

Seriously, you are literally autistic.

No sane individual is bothered by this formatting. It simply serves as a good way to OUT people who are too retarded to be posting here in the first place.

Like you, for example. Feeling that autistic OCD itch yet? Because you should be.

Except no, "one guy faints and the whole match is over" is not "already did it", you cocksucking faggot.

Stop contradicting yourself, which is it?

GAY DICK
WAREHOUSE

Are you OK user? You sound like you need some help.
We should contact each other, I like your autism and think you'd be a beast in bed

Long and short for the Fire vs Ice duality deal that most other games run.
It'd be interesting since no other types really Super Effective each other. Consider it the balance of heat and not-heat.

An added bonus hat would fit into the lore of Kyurem being the "Boundary" so having Ice 4x Resh and Zek would be fitting of Kyruem binding the two.

The reason for removing freeze is because it's the most unreliable status in the game, at most, you can get 30% from Blizzard (60% with Serene grace) so why not scrap the whole thing in general and just go with speed drops. It'd also help with some of the slower, more bulky ice types as it makes it more threatening the longer you're in vs them.

As for adding a Special version of Burn, you don't seem to understand the difference between physical and special. Physical has a lot harder hitting attacks and pokemon with high attack and decent bulk are more available than bulky special pokemon. Psychic isn't as strong as Earthquake.

I explained the Ice being strong vs Fire above, as for electric, it's due to an electrical property being the colder shit is the more resistance if it's already an insulator. as well as Ice not being much for electrical conductor.

Fairy on the other hand I chose because fuck fairies tbh.

2x to water would make no sense and would in theory gimp a ton of pokemon unnecessarily such as Swampert and Kingdra who aren't strong in their own right. Having Ice immune to water would also kinda fuck up the Grass/Water/Fire triangle since they all (Barring abilities) can hit everything for damage.

As for steel resisting Ghost, this was more a mythology thing that certain metals would remove ghosts, however, I agree with this change to keep Ghost neutral to steel. As for Dark. Considering the various dark attacks, it would seem ineffective vs Steel. Since you brought up machinery, It could be related to how you can't really cheat a machine.
As for why I think Steel should be weak to psychic, in terms of Meta, it'd gimp some of the stronger Steel types such as Mega Lucario and Skarmory. While pokemon such as Metagross would be mildly affected.
In terms of relationships, pic related.

I apologise for that, Pokemon brings out the inner Chris Chan in me.
Okay, I like to believe I'm not THAT autistic

moar

You need autism of this level when dealing with video game mechanics. That's what keeps each series feeling unique. The other user was right, this shit is more or less just digimon at this point. What happened to the concept of less is more?

It learns all of one move and has 72 special attack with 48 in every other relevant stat. The best trainer in the world couldn't make that thing good.
