It has some strong points on some characters' backstories, but damn is the sjw shit kinda obvious. Good chunk of the cast are either bi, lesbian, or sluts. Including Jill. And good god does this game love memes, especially corkies (self explanatory).

Played through this again recently.

I was amazed at how much I liked the characters, they were well written enough to be unique and memorable, but on the exact opposite of that was the story. Completely boring. Nothing really happens. There's maybe two places per storyline where you affect the outcome. It ended up feeling very shallow, slightly hollow. The whole thing of the game being affected by what drinks you serve is almost a false advertisement. The drinks themselves aren't special (except the ones where you can choose how strong they are and even then, that's a bit of a cop out). All you really need to do is memorize a few 'favourite' drinks and serve them at a certain point; again, only really once or twice per character/arc. I really would have liked there to be a bit more branching out, also for the bartending bits to be a bit more in depth. I want something meaningful to happen should I stuff someone's drink with lots of boozy ingredients, not just watch them turn red and feed me some alternate dialogue. And as for the memes, yes they were forced. I liked the idea that you had the phone with the news app to give you a sense of the world, and Danger/u/ was alright (I like the idea that even after the world goes to complete shit, the people will still find refuge on imageboards) but the stuffing in of 2010 era memes and shit kills it. Any amateur devs who read this, if you're gonna put a sort of current era concept that 'lives on' into some cyberpunk future or whatever, take 5 seconds and make sure it doesn't sound like it's trying to imitate the current state of said concept. If you're gonna throw an imageboard into the year 207X or whatever, know that they're going to speak differently. No chance every meme we drop on here lasts decades. I didn't mind no lewd, but I think they should have gone down that path at least a little, given how much they talk about sex, and how one character fucks for a living. Now that I think about it, they talk a lot about sex for something that has nothing explicit in it.

If you want a short summation: The characters were rather charming and memorable, but they're let down by damn near everything else being shallow/uninspired/forced. Soundtrack is still killer though.

Honestly, I wasn't too big on the characters and the story, that's just me. The music is objectively the best part though. I like a bit of the art as well, that's the reason it drew me in, I love cyberpunk shit.
I've never seen a 'bartending' mechanic in the game. It piqued my interest but DEFINITELY needed to be fleshed out more, it almost like a quick 2 second gimmick.
Speaking of which, I need to find that damn soundtrack.

I'm personally on the fringes of getting into that Cyberpunk shit. I like synthwave, and the hum of neon and all that shit always seems to catch my interest for some reason.

I know you used to be able to just pull the soundtrack out of the game files, though you'd need to convert them, as they were all in .ogg format. I say used to, because in an update, the dev team took out those files and replaced them with an image teaser for their next game.

cyberpunk on the other hand something completely different, its a fictional setting, has nothing to do with art

I thought the story was overall pretty stupid. The dialogues were even worse; like I was having to sit in some fucking chatroom while a bunch of teenagers were doing some shitty autistic roleplay. Kind of like the stuttering retardposters you see here sometimes.

The soundtrack was nice, and I liked the drink mixing, but like what said, the story should have hinged on the central mechanic of the game, since it's the only thing where you have any agency. And even then, it's a cringefest no matter how well or poorly you do.
