I beat RTCW a year before TNO came out. I had played DOOM 1 ages before nuDOOM, but beat DOOM 2 much more recently and QUAKE 1/2 (including all available mission packs) even more recently than that. All are better experiences than these reboots (and I keep the Sandy Peterson fuckfest levels in mind as I say that), and DOOM 2 + QUAKE have enough modded content to last until the next GOAT. Y'all just accept boring maps, boring encounters with tiny enemy counts, and overall dumbed down design too readily.
