In Super Mario Sunshine Fludd wasn't particularly intuitive and for a water pump he at times didn't feel very fluid, by comparison Cappy looks like a seamless addition to Mario's own abilities in the same way that Luma was in Galaxy but with even more functionality than both Luma and Fludd combined.

I have to say this game looks nothing short of excellent, and it even sounds as good as it looks.

As someone who loved Donkey Kong Arcade/Donkey Kong 94'/Mario vs. Donkey Kong, really glad aspects from that era are getting love. Hate to be a nostalgia fag for a game yet to be released but I have been waiting for a bone to be thrown there in the main series for a long time and they finally delivered at least on that front.

I really like the mix of realism/surrealism and the original Mario setting that we're seeing. It lets Nintendo make it feel like you're going somewhere new and different whilst bringing you back home just often enough to remind you it's still a Mario game. Almost like an odyssey.

The platforming sequences often were obnoxiously 2D, or gimmicky with gravity switches and crap, fuck Bee Mario, etc. These sequences weren't frustratingly bad they just could've been better. Hopefully Odyssey will keep those moments in Galaxy where you pull off something that takes skill to do that most people wouldn't even think of and the game is like "noice" and gives you a 1up or something. I suspect it's treehouse since they talked about the localization during the stream, apparently it's 2 weeks away from having all the english voice acting in game, but yet again I'm going to refer back to user's theory of localization, wherein if a game is released in two regions within a small timeframe there is a lower chance that localization will cuck the game, you do need to remember than 8-4 localized Nier Automata, and Fire Emblem Echoes, and Treehouse localized Breath of the Wild, I suspect we will see a not shit localization, and I'm still stoked that it's a 2017 game, how the actual fuck did they pull that off.
